>>80820897
>Nick wants that rabbit buns but is too self conscious to admit it to anyone so he ask like a smugger all the time
>Judy is too oblivious to even know her own feelings and acts innocent and cute whenever anyone suggest they are a couple
this is my head cannon
>>80820908
Her face in second-to-last panel.
I fucking can't handle it.
How do you think the animal people would react if humans started appearing in the world?
>>80820996The fact that poor people who win the lottery wind up poor again suggests poverty has more to do with your character than your circumstance
>>80821030
more likely:
>nick represses his feelings and shuns others so hard he doesn't even notice a real attraction
>judy becomes convinced by their flirtatious teasing that they're actually a couple
>>80821073
we'd just be some kind of large pig to them that they hadn't seen before.

son of a bitch.
>>80821073
They'd probably see them as no different from themselves except that they came from another world. Not really sure if humans would associate more with the preds or prey.
Well, is she, /co/?
>>80821092That's more a matter of people who have never had money before not being able to handle a large sum just plopped into their laps. They would learn to spend it better if they attained it naturally.
It really is more a matter of circumstance. If you're born into a poor family, you're likely to get a shittier education. When you get a shittier education, you're likely to get a shitty job. The biggest obstacle to making money is not having any to begin with.

>>80821248
Artist is Riendonut for anyone wondering.
>>80821217Depends what the actual reasons for your failures are. A lot of things in life are out of your control, including financial matters. If nobody in your area is hiring for entry-level jobs, then it's tough shit for you no matter what you do. It's naive to think that hard work always equals success and failure only happens when you're lazy.
>>80821179
This but with an added "your parents knowing the right people opens doors for you." I'm benefiting from that while seeing my friends who work harder struggle.
But enough about that! Do you think that Zootopia's size category currency exchange practices encourage illegal activities? Could Mr. Big have gotten where he is today by cooperating with polar bears not just for mafia muscle but for loopholes and money laundering?

>>80821704
Well you can at least try.
Are you saying you have to have a dad to be a good dad? Are you saying that kids with shitty parents are fated to be shitty parents themselves?
I think you can become a good parent even if your parent was bad or absent because you know what you wish you had and can give that to your child. You may not be perfect but you are hardly automatically doomed to failure
>>80821717
if by "place" you mean "the bottom of his noose" then yeah

>>80821566
No, he has valid criticisms of the film.
But not all of them are legitimate... Like the fox "trying to sound like George Clooney"
all my what
>>80821765
For example, if your dad is prone to outbursts of anger, as a kid, you learn that's how you deal with your emotions. It's not easy to deprogram yourself from that. Possible, sure. But not easy.
>>80821768
You're just cynical, I think he could turn out to be a good dad.
>>80821656
Well, Nick's seen a lot more of the seedy underbelly of Zootopian civilization, so he's going to be a lot less trusting of others who haven't proven themselves to him yet.
Judy, on the other hand, still has a lot of the optimist left in her. Also, being the "tryer" in the family makes her more likely to maintain a much looser rein on her kids than Nick would.
>>80821833

But it's not, it's just a little magic window we can see and hear through.

>>80821934
Thats more of a personal subjective complaint than an objective one.
The camera doesn't exist within the world. Its just our lens into the world, audio doesn't have to be relative to the camera. It can be if the creator wants it to be, but it doesn't have to be.

She might even recoil with horror at the suggestion of a few...

Honestly, Nick felt stupid compared to Judy. He was snarky and smart, but she was kind of Mary Sue. You have to admit
>>80822914

Bellweather is shit, but not as shitty as Clawhauser. That fat faggot needs to be bullied for being such a worthless piece of shit then fired for being horrible at his job.
He's a disgrace to the stained, crumb covered uniform he wears.
>>80822947
You don't know what a Mary Sue is.
>>80822947
Not really. I mean she did have actual police training while all he had was street smarts. Makes sense she would be calmer under stress and stuff like that.
And she had enough flaws that she hardly qualifies as a mary sue

>>80822947
No I don't 'have to admit'. Judy and Nick were constantly getting each other out of trouble, she couldn't have solved the case alone. She also wasn't perfect by any means, she had prejudice against foxes, for one thing, and didn't know anything about how the city worked.
She was one of the most relatable main female characters I've seen in a family film in years. Most people seem scared to make a female character who's less than perfect.

I'm pretty sure Nick devised the final ruse. He told her they had to outsmart them and he looked to the blueberries he dropped. Judy knew enough to keep him dragged along, but Nick came out looking smarter, especially after Judy's press conference.
>>80822947
Judy fucking stepped in it lots of times throughout the movie, and wouldn't have been able to continue solving the case without Nick who was able to figure things out when she got stumped. They filled in the gaps in one another's characters very well.

Clawhauser loves his job and is very good at it most of the time. He's super approachable and knows how to handle himself in conversation. I've dealt with more front desks than I count in this past year and I can tell you from experience that there aren't enough Clawhausers in our world.
>>80822983
>Makes sense she would be calmer under stress
Not really.
I mean the only reason why she was calm under stress was that she was a bit naive and had a total faith in her job and her succeeding in it.
For example telling the crime boss that she was a cop, that was a stupid move and could have gotten them killed, but since law was on her side she probably thought that nothing bad could possibly happen.
When she was faced with a situation she truly found dangerous, Nick baring his teeth to her, she quickly lost her composure and immediately went for the fox spray.

Finn was way better. I liked how he started out such a spazzy coward but ended up willing to start down a Not!Sith by the end. While he's not force sensitive, I'm hoping this does mean Finn basically becomes like a TOR Imperial Agent (except working for the rebellion) by the next movie and headshots some knights of ren before shanking one that got too close.
Omn the note of star wars: where's my Republic/Clone Trooper Judy hanging with SMUGgler Nick?
>>80823380

I mean wolves. When the wolves were closing in on them, Nick basically just gave up but Judy came up with the idea to get out of there

>>80823394
Well it wasn't released outside of korea til 08
>>80823410
I'm like 90% Finn is force sensitive. Mostly from that scene where Ren and his master were talking about how one of the storm troopers (Finn) had awakened. Seems like it would be odd for them to be concerned about a single trooper defecting unless it meant something more.
>>80823434
She wasn't even that psychotic. she just wanted more power

He didn't even notice Judy then immediately went speciesist. He cares more about shoveling more garbage junk food into his mouth and a shitty pop star than his job. He can't even stop a tiny little otter from getting past him and going right to the police chief's office. When Judy was calling for back up with her life on the line he didn't even notice.

>>80823840
I'm okay with that. Even if the sequel revolves around them and they aren't fingering each other every other scene, we can chalk it up to them remaining professional and keeping their office romance private. I think it'll be left open.
>>80823867
Its not necessarily out of the question. Companies sometimes release their scripts. Look at IMSDB (The S is important), lots of scripts there.
Though only one Disney script so far, Frozen. ANd even if Zootopia's script got released, it might just be the final script, not the one we want.
>>80817473
Dawn "Fangs will hang" Bellwether
>>80823434
No, but she's arguably Disney's most evil villain.
Most Disney villains are in it for selfish motives such as greed (Cruella Deville), jealousy (Queen Grimhilde), pride (Maleficent), or lust for power (Scar). Some are just evil for evil's sake (Hades), and a few are just insane (Mad Madam Mim). A rare few have really twisted motives that make you almost want to sympathize with them if they weren't so damn creepy (Frollo).
Bellwether had the most twisted motive of all--she wanted to make the world a better place for prey animals like her. Unfortunately, she was a horrible bigot, and understandably so, considering how the main predator in her life treated her. So, her idea of "making the world a better place" involved oppressing and enslaving 10% of Zootopia's population.
The scary thing about Bellwether is that she's the most believable Disney villain. We've all met people willing to do the most horrible things out of the most noble of motives.
i bet nicks fur is really warm and soft

>>80823211

>>80823434
>>80823500
>>80823540
Someone else came up with a better ranking system based on how well the villain plays off their heroic counterparts.
It was something like:
>Shit tier
Villain comes from nowhere with little to no context or relation to the rest of the story as well as little development or motivation given. (Eldritch gods are NOT this as a good cosmic horror story builds up their existence, etc.)
>Meh tier
Villain shares basic themes with the hero but lacks known motivation
>Mid Tier
Villain shares many themes with the hero and is developed as more than just an obstacle
>high tier
Villain shares themes with the hero, but possesses complex motivations and are developed enough within the story to be able to function as the protagonist of their own tale
Or something like that. I'm paraphrasing a lot.

>>80823981
>We've all met people willing to do the most horrible things out of the most noble of motives.
I've had interesting discussions about this sort of thing and it really is surprising how easy it can be to slide into this mentality if one isn't careful. Look up the Eugenics programs and sterilization/detainment of undesirables in the pre-world war II period.
They weren't trying to be evil, they just thought they were doing their part to pave the way for a perfect society down the line where everyone is healthy, smart, and successful.
>>80824062
Well that makes Bellwether high tier. Her story parallels Judy and I'm pretty sure she brought her over to Zootopia in the first place. In Bellwether's perfect world they'd be partners in making the predators wear mandatory shock collars and making the world a better place. They worked hard to achieve unobtainable goals and in the end they'd help each other climb to the top, intentionally or not.

I'm not gonna say it was "the REAL zootopia" and the changes made were for the best considering their audience, but I still really want it.
>>80825377
All predators are forced to wear shock collars that zap them whenever they feel heightened emotions like aggression or anger.
Nick runs an illegal theme park where Predators can temporarily remove their collars and enjoy themselves.
He gets framed for some sort of crime and has to go on the run.
Judy, who starts out as accepting of shock collars and the status quo, has to chase him down, but eventually she sides with him and they try to clear Nick's name.
In the end they uncover a conspiracy and the shock collar laws are removed.
Basically they changed it because after getting feedback on it, they realized the happiest ending they could think of was Nick running away from Zootopia instead of fixing it because it was just a terrible place. So they rewrote it and made Judy the main character.

She got busy once she put the seed of fear in the populace's mind. She was extremely efficient.

>>80825620
He's a Florest. He definitely knew what was going on, how? We don't know, but he definitely knew. The look he has when he's shot definitely gives it away, on top of him being targeted at all.
If it matters at all, a polar bear was targeted from tundra town, and he is Mr. Big's florist so maybe there's a correlation there too.

The original scenario would have played outNick's protective instincts would have won out on his aggressive instincts.

>>80825717
Judy would use her 1st class police academy skills to deal with savage Nick and take down Bellwether.
But at a cost. Maybe in the fight with Nick she would be scarred a bit, but that all pales in comparison to the phantom sensations of Nick's skull being crushed between her thighs of justice.

"A bunny can go savage too." Judy's uncle bit Judy's mom under its influence, which isn't really rabbit instinct.

From wikipedia
>Fastball front man Tony Scalzo came up with the idea for the song after reading journalistic articles which described the disappearance of an elderly married couple, Lela and Raymond Howard from Salado, Texas, who left home in June 1997 to attend the Pioneer Day festival at nearby Temple, Texas, despite Lela's Alzheimers and Raymond recently recovering from brain surgery. They were discovered two weeks later, dead, at the bottom of a ravine near Hot Springs, Arkansas, hundreds of miles off their intended route.

>>80826005

>>80826044
Considering she was knocked out in some of the other pictures from other scenes, she probably accidentally tranq'd herself and that's how Nick actually manages to escape for good.
>>80826044
Thats true. Could be from that, though one of those pics is from her more finalized look which I think came after the rewrites, though I could be pulling that out of my ass. Especially since animation had begun, so unless theres a different model of Judy out there, it would be the finalized version.

Yeah, apparently they started cutting that out of showings after the private furry parties reaction on opening night.
It's too bad, but hey, when the DVD comes out we can see it, along with all the other deleted scenes like Judy being Mrs. Otterton's Mr. Otterton for the night, or Nick's muzzle-hazing at police academy.
>>80826078
She has the tranq gun still in the very first teaser too, which uses all the finalized designs and models from what i remember. And that weapon and anything like it is completely absent from the movie.
Which is kind of stupid, as it's apart of her moveset AND toy model in the Disney infinity game as well.

But... his room isn't in the final version. The original script version has him sleeping in a leaky boiler room, buckets everywhere, his bed being the bottom shelf of a very large drawer for one example.
>>80826158
Chances are it was just because Bogo wasn't giving her access to Police resources.
From what I understand, she has a taser in one of the books that takes place after the movie, so she could have the dart gun in the sequel

The Hunchback of Notre Dame and pocahontas 2 all over again
>>80826498Okay so it all goes down in the scene under the bridge. The scene itself is only about a minute longer. The versions diverge right after Judy tries to steal the pen. Judy says something along the lines of "I don't ever want to lose you again" and there's some coy banter which culminates in Nick kissing Judy on her head. Judy looks surprised but Nick plays his smugface card, which bewitches Judy so she decides to roll with it.
Judy tries to say something about how they should get going since they only have a handful of hours left, but Nick suggests that they sit under the bridge for a bit. Judy, whose rabbit hormones are raging by now, agrees after a moment of consideration.
So they sit and Nick tells Judy that the whole time they were apart all he could think about was her. He begins to break down a bit saying that he doesn't know what he would do without her, since he can't bring himself to go back to his life anymore since she reminded him of who he wants to be. Judy stops him about halfway through and says that he doesn't need to worry anymore. The camera pans out of the tunnel as Judy unbuttons the top button of his shirt. /sceneDoes this count as fan-fiction?

>The beatles were alien agents sent to teach grooevy love music to earth-
BAM! Fan-fic, right there.
You can't avoid it.
But I will say that I feel like you could have done a bit better with the believablity of this one.
Not sure how to put it into words a but it doesn't quite feel right.

>But I will say that I feel like you could have done a bit better with the believablity of this one.
Yeah I'm a little drunk and didn't really commit.
>says it is fanfiction
Can I put this on my resume?
>>80827062
oh, hey, you finished, and looking good! Thanks man!
>>80826954
>"Dammit, carrot, you're hogging all the smug!"
>>80823679
>>80823860
>>80823873
I know what the sentences mean, although I can't quite figure out what's going on in general...
>Let me guess, jewelry theft?
>...an apology note from one.
>I told you earlier, wait for them to steal them before you chase after them. No need to beat the grass and scare the snake away... or scare the rat away, I should say!
>Sitting and watching for them to steal the jewelry isn't my style.
>Oh! ...Thanks.
>I know what Judy's like so...
>Let's finish this weekend overtime up.
>Well done, Nick!
>Chief, what's wrong?
>Alright, we still have work to do... Judy?
>Fine, a little while longer.
>Nick took the drinks Chief bought to go comfort Judy.
>>80827088
Eh, I wouldn't. It'd need to be longer. Also depends on what you're submitting the resume for.
I know you said it was supposed to be explicit, but I do think a lighter touch would make things more believable.
Like...After Judy "tries to grab the pen", Nick kisses the top of Judy's head and admits he missed her. Judy smiles and just hugs him tighter, Nick laughs it off and asks "can we really afford to stand here all day hugging?" Judy replies "we have enough time to at least catch up." and it fades out just as it looks like Judy is about to kiss him.Next scene opens with the two of them driving to find Weasleton, Judy's buttons are misaligned and Nick's collar is looser than normal.
>>80827138
Looks like Judy was having a tough time on a case, and Nick took the coffee Bogo sent him to buy and gave it to Judy to comfort her.
>>80827171
Ah, okay. In that case "I know what Judy's like" might be more like "I know your style, Judy" if he's talking to her. "Chief, what's wrong?" might be "What's up with Chief?"
>>80827168
Thanks for the feedback! I was joking about the resume, but I appreciate your candidness.I've never written any kind of fiction in my life, but your post is making me consider giving it a shot!
>>80827062
Makes me think of a Zootopia Tank Police crossover a bit.
>>80827229
What the fuck are ye waiting for? GO, GO, GO

>>80827320
oh, shit, damn, maybne I shouldn't be doing this, my eyes are feeling kind of stung and I actually couldn't tell Korean and Chinese. Wow, really embarrassing as a quarter-chink myself.
>>80827229
As long as you have an idea and inspiration, go for it.
>>80820630

I know you have more of these 60fps webms, post them please.
I am so ready for all of the Japanese fanart in April. I hope the move is a success there. I think it will be, since it's undeniably cute and Japan fucking LOVES cute. Monsters University made more money there than anywhere else if I recall correctly, because the characters are almost all adorable.
He has the app too.
Am i the only one who doesn't like lewds of nick and judy? It just feels like seeing your mom naked, it's got the stuff you like, but just isn't right
>>80827502
The japanese still haven't got Zootopia?
I wonder who's gonna voice who.
>>80827606

Aaaand last minute typesetting for the translation! Thank you, translator anon!
>>80827618
According to my Google Translate attempt, it says exactly what you'd expect it to say.
>>80822185
Treat her as a human first, good friend second, and girl third.
I Think i might go see this movie tomorrow with some friends, so how sad does it get? is it enough to get you completely bawling or is it just enough to get you a little down?
>>80827642
For real?
If yes, do you know the rest of the cast?
>>80827815
Depends on how you handle emotional stuff, really.
There's some tear-jerker moments for sure.
>>80827819
I think the actual list is over here. >>80827753
>>80827815
I didn't sense any bawling. Maybe a depressing moment or two.
>>80827815
Depends on you, but I had some tears flowing at a few parts. The movie does a good job of making the characters real and if you connect with them, you'll feel sad for them.
>>80827819
No, sadly it's not actually gackt
...but that would have been cool. Femboy Gazelle pls.
man, we sure do go through threads pretty fast.
>>80827983

>>80828042
