Every joke was either poor or forgettable and the a/b plots were far from gold.

They had the potential to show off some cool animation in Stewie's dreams but that requires more talent than any of their main animators have.

because nobody seems to have noticed
the show has been good since 2010. rush limbaugh episode was the turning point. there are still some majorly shitty ones (election season does that), just like the simpsons had, but generally speaking the last decade has been good. unlike the simpsons, not only has it been good but in family guy actually great. STUPID, yes, but in terms of comedy the best the show has ever been in my opinion. so family guy goes 'clever but subdued, really really funny and smart, canceled, terribly dull, irritatingly fuckshittingly awful, then suddenly great'
