Thus my point of "quality of the fights going up -again-".

Without Monty or his protege, the choreography has noticeably declined, even if the overall animation has improved. It's also become more "Realistic". Slower, even-paced, and with more detail shown. It's definitely lost the "Cuhrazy" that Monty would inject into things.

The last few fights of V3 did show a bit more creativity, so perhaps there is hope yet. We shall see.

The finale was the best of RWBY so far, and quite a bit of it is due to that it's a turn to a good direction.

It was nice because all the effort put into Pyrrha's development bore fruit, but also a shame that the writing had to be so focused to make it work.

The story is getting better and has potential, it's just that the writing needs to be worked on.

Count the major threats in the last two episodes, then check who stopped them. Turns out if Ruby wasn't the one to stop them nobody did. Usually in a bullshit way.

It's too early in the show for her to be God tier, especially since it didn't feel like she earned any victories.

We have all these badass grown huntsmen fighting mooks while Ruby and only Ruby is allowed to succeed against major antagonists/plot points.

The alternative to this is that Ruby destroyed the ship and shut down ALL the robots. Again she's just playing on a different level. I pretty much counted the robots as bigger versions of ground minions, killing minions =/= defeating a substantial threat.

I'll admit, he does do greentext stories and what have you, but I would hardly call those specific posts fanfiction.

After rewatching volume 1 and then people saying the staff mentioned we've already seen an instance of Jaune's power, then it's probably the time Cardin punched him and a bright white light appeared with a ringing noise. Jaune was unharmed and fully healed when he landed and Cardin felt the pain on his hand. So people just assume that it's defensive oriented.

One of the main parts of the powers in Worm was how they augmented your mind to be able to handle them.

Controlling the motions of millions of bugs would have to require serious brain power, and that's not even taking into account how she would use them in intricate plans with silk strings, poison, and such.

Khepri broke down because her powers were changed without adapting her mind.

One could write a Worm-esque take on RWBY, especially considering how all the Semblances seem to be oriented towards combat, like the capes.

Really depends on his semblance. From the hints we got, it's defensive and he's now the only one of the mains with a shield because Pyrrha croaked so an emphasis on defense and positioning himself to protect people. I liked the idea where he's a moving wall/platform that supports his team. Ruby can kick off his shield to change direction mid-dash and pinball around. Nora can replicated her jump attack with Pyrrha using his shield. Not sure how Ren can fit in though.
