2. Chickens are dinosaurs.
[]True
[]False
>>
>>79777574
False.

>>79777642
Also false. Though some people want to reclassify dinosaurs as birds, the fact is that chickens won't be considered dinosaurs for the same reason that deer won't be considered horses.

>>79777642
3. Scientists love rewriting shit so we need new textbooks constantly, which they get paid to write

Neither. Chickens are birds.
>>

And therefore not important.

>the fact is that chickens won't be considered dinosaurs for the same reason that deer won't be considered horses.

Deers are "cousins" of Horses, completely different relation than chickens and other dinosaurs.
>>
>>79777764
False. Textbooks are reprinted anyways and people are forced to pay out for minor rewordeds and a new coat of paint despite there being very little actual changes in the information. Nobody is going to waste time lobbying to change the classification of dinosaurs to chickens just so they can put it in a textbook.
They will however do it for ego.
>>
>>79778019
It's actually being done because it's a more accurate classification taxonomically, you guys do realise that no scientist is going to make money or fame from this right?

A chicken has warm blood.
A chicken is a bird.
A human has warm blood.
Therefore, a human is a bird.

I keep seeing more people putting "an" before words that start with H. Shit's weird.
>>
>>79779336
lrn2english
>>
>>79779132
Because "a" and "an" are tied to vowels (which are sounds) and not letters, you should use "a" for hard h sounds (hot, helicopter) and "an" for soft h sounds (hour, herb).
>>
>>79779374
I get that, but the one I see most often is "history" and it would apply if you're British.
>>
>>79779336
You can do it if the H is silent i think, but its been a long time since grammar class. He still used in incorrectly

People do misuse it a lot. Also, I'm trying to think of a british accent that pronounces history with a soft h. Maybe Northern?

It's fucking impossible to google, since any combination of "british accent history" just gives me the history of the british accent.

{Bleach} is an instance of {things that are mostly water}
{Humans} are an instance of {things that are mostly water}.
Thus, the set of {things that are mostly water} has members {Bleach, Humans, ... maybe other things ...}

You can say "some Things That Are Mostly Water are Bleach" but you didn't say "all Things That Are Mostly Water are Bleach"

All men are mortal
>All elements in the set {things that are men} are in the set {things that are mortal}
Socrates is a man
>{Socrates} is an element in the set {things that are men}
Therefore Socrates is mortal
>{Socrates} is in the set {things that are mortal}

It's not nuclear physics. if you can draw circles with a crayon, you can do sets and syllogisms.

A riddle again Riddler?
It's a pop quiz! That exclamation mark is a clue.
Thinking about pop, it can refer to soda.
Soda in the south can be called Coke.
Coke is produced from Coal mining.
The target is something produced from Coal.
The Riddler is planning on stealing a diamond, but which one?
1. refers to the question on the paper.
It also means first.
As in first national bank of Gotham.
It's on the street that bank is on.
The question involves chicken, which there is a restaurant on that street. In front of that restaurant is the Museum of Natural History.
The riddler is stealing a Diamond in the Museum of Natural History.
But when?
The possible answers are True or False.
With check boxes.
True or False has to do with the date and time.
True = Date
False = Time
The placement of true or false by the CN logo could refer to 13.
As in Rot-13.
Resulting in the possible answers being Gehr or Snyfr.
Gehr was a company founded in 1965.
1/9/65 : The riddler is doing this heist on that date.
Meanwhile the time is based on Snyfr.
Snyfr refers to a Football League.
Which launched it's website in 2001.
The time will be 8:01PM.
See you then Riddler.
I figured it out.

To answer this question properly: it depends on how you personally classify animals. If you're old-fashioned and stick with Linnean taxonomy (classify animals by shared characteristics), then birds aren't dinosaurs at all. But if you're modern and prefer evolutionary taxonomy (classifying animals by ancestry/DNA), then all birds are most definitely dinosaurs.

>>79777729
That makes... no sense. Deer aren't descended from horses at all. It'd be like saying that Tarsiers are descended from humans.
