I watch it just cause, it's not my favorite or anything.

It has been on hiatus since December, with no word about anything.

Actually, there were new episodes planned, even with sneak peeks and TV Guide entries for January but they seem to have changed the schedule.

part of it is so much of her and Rigby happened off screen, "oh they like each other now". "oh they're a couple now", "oh they're fucking like rabbits now" and now we are just waiting for the episode where rigby puts a ring on that while mordecai wallows in his betaness and gives an awkward speech

I'm getting close to this opinion, honestly. The show doesn't even feel like itself anymore.

I watched the movie, and I can honestly say I found it amusing. So I'm thinking about giving it another chance.

Why do people keep saying this? If anything, he seems happy not caring about finding his soulmate right now, just having fun with Margaret as friends.

Rigleen is weird because they are only fleshing out Eileen now, when they are an item. And honestly, I think it's not the best character development for Rigby, or rather not the best way to do it. Because his willingness to change is always tied to other people. I'm not sure whether Rigby would continue as he does right now if Eileen broke up with him. Either he'd he devastated, or shrug it off, showing that the relationship can't have been that important.

It annoys me how Rigby is somehow seen as better according to others because he lucked out with Eileen while Mordecai is the opposite and thinks too much about his relationships with girls.

The action-adventure episodes are still as sub-par as ever. The entire show has a completely predictable plot.

I watched it a lot when it came out, stoped watching some time in season 3. and then recently marathoned everything. I fucking love it. When you put in time to it you notice the characters changing and reacting to each other. I compair it to KotH a lot. In the begining benson is just a screaming jerk. as the show goes on we see a few chances for Mordicai and Rigby to either actually get a job done, or helphim out in some way and its noticeable that he mellows out a little bit. another example is that in season 1 they are freaking out about 60 dollars for face punch tickets, but in the episode where they crush CJs tent they are trying to get 200$ together. It showed that they had changed a little. They have been working more consistently and have more money than they did previously. Tiny details like that help me at least get invested. And while I find the amount of time spent of mordicais relationships to be annoying, I can not deny that I love the way they handle rigby and eileen.

For me regular show has a slow burn and has only gotten more interesting. You come for the gag of the day, you stay for the slight character growth.

What I meant was that instead of having to deal with entire arks of nothing like Mordecai they jumped right o them being together and just had small hints in the episodes in the manner of the way Rigby and Eileen treat each other differently. And then they had a few episodes about their relationship and their character change. Snow tubing is not about they relationship, its just about eileen, But it's something they do together so it still grows the relation. same with seaturtle club, eileens TV ect. The only one that is really directly about their relationship is best fake plan. and that episode was way better then most of the ones directly about mordicai and his shit.

So no not poorly.

That is still poorly because it's all happening now and forced upon the viewer with anything before that not being seen and at best marginal.

On top of what >>79065287 said. It's handled poorly because they just overlook certain aspects of Rigby's character that would factor into this, like him being clingy and easily jealous. Two traits that are not addressed and disappeared suddenly, and not because of character development like some naive people think.

I found it started to get repetitive after a few seasons. I mean I know people talk smack about the relationship stuff but I honestly found that stuff more interesting than "Mordecai and Rigby try to do something normal but then a monster shows up episode CCLXX!!!"
