Probably Treehouse of Horror V. The Shining parody and the time travel one crack me up every single fucking time.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks that. Bart on teh road has great stories for each of main family members and somehow it doesn't become a clusterfuck because it. I quite like Marge's segment and how she deals with being home alone.

Summer of 4 ft 2 is my favorite. Last episode of season 7 I think.

Just overall a really good episode that manages to feel kind of gentle and personal while still being incredibly funny. All of the characters used in the episode have some great bits that play to their personalities really well without being overblown or overstaying their welcome. First time I saw the episode I felt kind of sad after since it reminded me a lot of my childhood, but on rewatches I've loved it.

I always enjoyed pre-zombie Patty and Selma episodes. The writers had done an amazing job humanizing the wicked witches.

A fish named Selma is by far the funniest and best one though. I crave Troy Mclure.
I was fucking pissed when this wasn't on the Simpsons CD.

That's exactly what makes Last Exit to Springfield such a great episode. Almost every moment of the episode has something memorable going on but it never feels like it's crammed together or too full. One great moment or gag flows seemlessly into another one allowing a massive amount of stuff to happen in a half hour timeslot. The Simpsons used to be great at that. Utilizing their timeslot to it's fullest potential. Rewatching old episodes always makes me sad because with the state of the show now it's so easy to forget how the show was at one time legitimately some of the best television ever produced.
