Ed, Edd n' Eddy is one of the greatest cartoon series of all time. Talking about current ones, though, Rick and Morty is pretty great.

And having your main character(s) be assholes is generally a poor idea because it begs the question of why all their friends will inevitably hang out with them all the time even with them being such a dick.
In EEnE it worked because no one liked the Edds and they only hung out with each other, but even then only Eddy was an actual asshole.

In Sorry Wrong Ed, Double Dee ignored Eddy's pain and misery
Double Dee has also accidentally gotten Eddy framed for impersonating a principal and he didn't correct the mistake.

I don't know Man. Finn's voice even sounds like everything he is saying is forced and quite far from genuine. Any episode I've seen I've felt bad for the bad guys. I remember something along the lines of hem just meeting something and fin starts giving them shit. Then says "Bros roast each other, it means we're friends" or something to that effect. The joke is that hating the Eds is what keeps the kids together. Sara, Kevin, Johnny, and Rolf to some extent, are all have trouble getting along when left to their own devices for too long. That's why Johnny had to take over as the town scapegoat at the end of the movie when they decided to like the Eds.
