If I had one complaint about the scene is yeah, Pyrrha seemed to jump from scared, to happy/comfy, to scared again and then powerslamming jaune into the wall. All in a span of about 2 minutes. I know she had a lot on her mind, but it did seem to move really fast.

Basically said the right thing but at the wrong time. Pyrrha basically in her stressed out moment took it that Jaune was basically saying she should be the fall maiden despite how terrified she is of the whole idea.

She wasn't really mad at him, he just got a little too close while she was in an emotionally bad place.

Basically, he was trying to get close and help her, while simultaneously telling her to go forth and seek destiny - which would probably distance her from all her friends. Not that he knew that, but neither of them are social titans.

Followed my expectations in terms of plot, but a surprise in execution. RWBY is slowly becoming almost-average and I'm not sure how to feel about it.

In turn, the reason why Pyrrha does not want to do it is because of Jaune. There is a very likely chance that she will forget him or the feelings that she has for him after the fusion.

So when she sees him happily push her on to become the Fall Maiden and abandon her relationships? That's a fuckton of conflict to add onto her already scrambled emotions.

I'm actually surprised they handled Jaune's part as well as they did. He acted like a super close and concerned friend and didn't try to ham it up with the power of lurv or something. An interaction or two more like this (sans the power slamming) and Arkos as a couple will look a lot more believable relationship wise in the show.

I'd have to go back and check his exact phrasing, but he implies that the last Arc in his family to be a fighter was his grandpa, IIRC. That doesn't mean he doesn't have sisters who aren't accomplished, of course, they might have gone to combat school and not gone to a hunter academy - or they might be successful in mundane jobs somewhere. Where the fuck is Jaune from again, is he a native of Vale? Maybe one or more of his sisters are cops, lawyers or bankers or something. It would have to be in something non-relevant to the RWBYJNPR crew so none of them could tell by his name.

It's a long shot, but I'm kind of hoping it turns out to be the exact reverse of that and the normal expectation. Maybe she's gone full Jane Goodall, lives in the wild with grimm via ironclad emotional discipline, convinced that coexistence is possible. Could be an interesting way to set up a contrasting character to Cinder, and provide a good explanation for leaving Yang behind, given babies are not known for said emotional discipline.

Oh boy. I didn't notice that the episode didn't download, because it's been a busy week. Anyways, the episode is now up on Waifus (not that it matters much)

Also, I'll be transferring servers soon. Me and my brother have shared the current web host for a while, but we no longer want to pay for it because it's rather expensive compared to what we actually use.
That said, the server I'm moving to has slower internet, so when episodes go up, it may take a while for them to fully download, and downloading from the site will probably also be slower. Maybe at some point I'll move it again, for faster internet. Who knows.


That said, I'll probably embed a video player for m3u8 files on the site, to make it easier, so downloading the files won't be as necessary.
