You missed out on Finn discovering his daddio and getting his arm brutally ripped off and a flower grows in its place (but don't worry he gets it back four episodes later). Prismo dies (but is also brought back like 8 months after) and that was the intro to season 6. The Lich was there too and got defeated and is now imprisoned in a baby being raise by Tree Trunks and her husband.

After that things get more scattered: Finn gets depression so he tries making out with a bunch of girls which is ultimately unfulfilling, but a bee who is after his flower and she splloges magic jelly on him which grows it back.
Some other slice of life episodes happen (Finn and Jake go on a buying spree with their room full of gold, Jake's kid buys the teefort and tells Jake to get a job and be an adult, there's a flashback episode with Finn and Jake's parents).

There's an episode about the backstory of ancient OOO showing where Ice King's crown came from and mentioning a comet (more on that later).
Prismo comes back, Finn gets a new sword, PB and Finn bond, Lemongrab gets another episode, baby Lich shows up, Finn and Jake meet their brother Jermaine, some more wacky one off adventures.

Also this entire time the show's been building up to the comet, mentioned in several episodes and it comes back in the finale.

Remember when Marceline's dad mad a joke that Gunther was the most evil thing he'd ever seen? The show sure does, and now Gunther is an ancient alien that enslaved other ancient aliens and is forced to be in the shape of a penguin due to the Earth's gravity.

On the road to the finale, King of OOO (the yellow con artist guy) tries to convince the Candy Kingdom to make him the new ruler and he succeeds: PB is dethroned and moves into a cabin with Peppermint Butler. Gunther enacts a plan to use the comet that is coming to strike OOO and goes after it with a spaceship, Finn and Jake go to stop him.

Gunther's actual name is Orgalorg and he's a big alien vagina, he bats Finn and Jake away and Finn gets picked up by his dad.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention earlier that there was another episode where Finn finds his dad and they talk before Finn's dad bails again.

Finn's dad helps Finn and the comet comes to them, which is actually alive and a God-type thing. It gives Finn the choice of kind of resetting the universe or deciding to keep toughing it out; surprising no one, Finn says he likes it how it is, saying he put a lot of work into this meat reality and wants to see it through. Finn's dad takes the offer instead and poofs, Finn kills Orgalorg with the grass vine thing that his new arm has, Orgalorg is brought back to Earth's gravity and goes back to being a penguin. Jake is rescued by Banana Man and they get Finn too.

That's the end of season 6.

In S7, some regular episodes happen (Finn and Jake working for King of OOO with some Bubblegum backstory, episode about minor CK citizens, BMO and his imaginary friend guy, random Finn and Jake adventure).

Then we have Stakes, a Marceline focused miniseries dealing with the ghosts of her past and involving the whole gang. We get some Marcy backstory and the group fights vampires in the modern day. Lots of lesbian innuendo.
At the end Marceline defeats them and is more okay with being immortal than before, and PB takes back her crown from King of OOO.

After Stakes we got another episode about BMO's creator Moe and some of his other creations.

That's what we're up to so far. More episodes are airing this month.
There was an episode about Jake's kid two days ago but it was boring and no one cared.
