R.I.P. Frank Armitage (1924-2016)
He was a painter who did backgrounds for classic Disney movies like Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty and The Jungle Book.
He also donated art for causes like medical education and promoting the preservation of silverback gorillas.
It's always nice to learn about the people behind beloved movies, even if it's after they die.

GET THIS A STICKY.
What the fuck, mods

So what, so the guy was in his artistic prime like half a fucking century ago and people still remember him.
Even if it was only the OP who remembers him, that's still one more person than me or you will have to remember us when we die.

The backgrounds are a very important part of the experience, especially in Jungle Book.

I wish we could have something like obituaries, but for people who are still alive. Reminding us of the cool people we still have left.
Celebrating them.

This hurts.
Though I feel like watching his Heavy Metal short now.

Why would mods sticky this? It's not a movie trailer, tv show talkback thread or about a dead capeshit actor/actress.
If Murphy Anderson isn't worthy of a sticky, obscure Disney employees aren't either.

damn, finished watching it again today
