Do you think gems are "raised" under a whole shit-ton of propaganda? Like, each gem is designed for a purpose and they have traits related to that purpose, like how Peridot is an engie and so values logic and efficiency and technicalities. So, to create loyalty, gems get told that their diamonds are the perfect paragons of what they're naturally disposed to think of as virtuous.

And if propaganda is a thing, I wonder about the diamonds' appearances. Blue Diamond and now especially Yellow Diamond seemed... kinda stretched out, much taller than they were broad. And they both seemed to be set up in a place where, most of the time, other gems don't even get to see them - Blue behind curtains, Yellow in her own command center.

Maybe Diamonds rearrange their mass to make themselves look taller, when they're in public?

But I don't know, if Pink Diamond was Rose Quartz, then Homeworld's behavior at the initial stages of the Rebellion don't make sense. If one of the four Gem Matriarchs have gone rogue, then they should have taken matters a lot more seriously, and Rose should have had a lot more than a small force at her command, seeing as how fanatical gems are to their diamond. Not to mention all the anatomical differences from Rose and BD/YD (and WD's silhouette).
