Shitty headcanon time? I'm fairly certain that Wander and Dominator are the same alien race, these dynamic, weird fuzzy spoon things, and that they succeed based on their will inside. That's why Wander loses every time when he goes up against Dominator; she has a stronger will than him.

From what I've picked up on the show:

Wander may or may not be the only one of his species- that or his kind are extremely rare due to being excessively nomadic and not spending enough time sitting at home and BREEDING.... Or maybe Wander's species asexually reproduces like tribbles or something from startrek and Wander is a hermaphrodite.
This is okay though as Wander is has either had his life-span artificially extended or his species is just naturally excessively long lived, case in point: >>78640240 Hater's idol from a kid had been turned/annoyed into being good by what I can only assume to be wander before he was known as wander.

I think the most likely case is Wander has been going from galaxy to galaxy and changing his name on the way while he conquers them with kindness and so forth.

I think a large amount of people were drawn to Wander Over Yonder because of Lord Dominator's appearance; I was, at least. It's just a damn shame that the creators of the show made her such a horrible abomination of a character. I mean, this show generally has pretty good writing; it seems so out of place for one character to suddenly be a stupid generic mary sue villain with no flaws whatsoever.

It's bad enough that they'd ruin a cute looking character, but they make her a major reoccuring character, so her boring mary-sue personality is only magnified in how much it fucks up the show. Not to mention it turns Wander into an obsessive shipping idiot and Hater into a generic dumb cartoon guy who like pretty lady. It'd be fine for a single-episode thing but having an entire arc based around that seems stupid.
