To be fair, the circumstances were pretty extreme in those cases. GA accidentally hit Pa Kent, this was not long after they were violently kidnapped and imprisoned. He was being overprotective to a fault, but considering his wife and child along with millions others died under his watch due to some serious bullshit, he was already on a short fuse.

Black Canary shot him with a kryptonite bullet and gave him an earful... while the Green Lantern and Sinestro Corps were having it out on both Earth and space and shit was getting real. Sinestro whispering into his ear and the GLs basically saying that he was in the wrong also didn't help.

They were both pretty extreme circumstances, not saying they weren't dick moves, but fairly understandable.
