>flash is one of DC's most popular properties right now
>and this is what they publish for his comics
why does it hurt so much
>>78535420
They wouldn't even give Morrison the time of day and put him on the book. DC's decisions are just weird.
>>78535420
>muh mom died
Again with this shit?
>>78535445
the dead mom ride never ends
>>78535433
He doesn't want to do an ongoing, self-contained stuff only.
>WE ARE FLASH
i hate this
so not only did they copy/paste hunter zolomon's power onto eobard, but they now also given barry an easy means of beating a power that EVERY speedster had to help wally overcome when he fought zoom.
>>78535472
>He doesn't want to do an ongoing
Nope, he was extremely pissed with new52, and how they shat on all his work with multiversity and gave more press to convergence shit.
He is only staying at DC thanks to DiDio.
>>78535598
source on this? because from what i understand DC gave him pretty much total freedom with Multiversity
>>78535627
>>78535654
>>78535664
Proof that Booths art is actually okay if he had a different colorist
>>78535714
the non-shiny coloring is definitely better but his art is still garbage, just slightly more appealing garbage.
oh and this is the end. do yourself a favor and find a good flash comic to read.
>>78535522
>Moving fast enough to wreck The Flash
>Gets smacked in the face by a completely normal dude
are you fucking kidding me
>>78535736
Id prefer to have some whip cream if i have to scarf down a bowl of dog shit
>>78535714
I don't like booth but this is true I've seen the shitty shiny coloring on other artists at DC and it never works
>>78535598
>gave more press to convergence shit.
>He is only staying at DC thanks to DiDio.
Ironic since Convergence is Didio's baby.
Yo Barry's Mom is hot
>>78535420
Say it with me Flashfaggots
>At least I'm not a Wondyfag
>>78535736
I feel nothing. Still appreciate it though OP.
>>78535909
This shit is just has been just as bad, if not worse, than Finch's awful run. Atleast Donna didn't get turned into a minority checklist statistic.
>>78535909
nah being a flashfag is worse right now comic wise.
wondy's main title is awful, but she still has Legend of Wonder Woman and Bombshells, as well as the Earth-One OGN set to come out in 2016. plus Johns is doing her justice over on Darkseid War.
flash fans literally only have the show right now and if you don't like that then there's nothing else for you.
>>78535420
Is it worse that Thawne was just simply given Zoom's powers for no fucking reason? Also this book had the most anticlimactic ending to a Flash book ever.
>>78535584
So he just gets a random powerup that hasn't been hinted at until just now, the finale of the book?
That's literally grade school tier writing -- random, ridiculously narrow powerups that automatically beat your opponent is right out of Silver and Golden Age Superman shit that we've been mocking for years. Atleast foreshadow this shit.
>>78536000
What does it matter? Zolomon doesn't exist anymore and it's not like Wally's ever gonna be a major hero again. Zolomon is irrelevant so they just wrapped Zoom's powers up into Thawne's because why not.
That said, Venditti, Jensen, and Booth didn't even know who Zoom was (despite Booth saying he's a HUEG WALLY FAN GUYS). It's like how they made a second top even though, literally in the preceding run, they already introduced a dude named Roscoe whose powers were spinning.
>>78535750
It must be a Dad thing.
>>78536082
The blue-aura is reminding of the future flash so it was slightly hinted.
>>78536188
Ateast in this shitty scene Thawne was standing still gloating. In this other shitty scene they were having a super speed fight and conversation.
>>78535420
I like it.
Then again the only thing I care about in Flash is Zoom anyway.
>>78535714
Yeah, I was wondering why his art looked better.
>>78536335
But their Thawne is garbage, anon.
>>78536239
That is not even close to what "hinting" means, dude. Future Flash was getting powers from a broken, busted up Speed Force. That's why he looked different. He also didn't have any "MOVE TIME FORWARD" powers that have literally no use against anyone besides a guy who can slow down time.
It's shitty writing.
>first page
Holy fuck that is like the worst looking Flash costume. Jesus, I'm glad I haven't touched Flash since ManaBooch left and only popped to kill some time
>>78535584
>>78535969
>flash fans literally only have the show right now and if you don't like that then there's nothing else for you.
At least Flashfags have the tv show, two upcoming OGNs and an upcoming movie
All GLfags have is Venditti
>>78537101
No, you also have Bunn, or did you forget?
>>78535607
the white on the costume actually suits it better than the gold imo
>>78535420
Better than Omega man crap.
Goddamn Barry's suit just gets worse every time I see it
>>78537101
GL is getting a movie too though.
>>78535736
Well, this was bad. It reads like a poor man's rehash of Johns' run, except with paper-thin character motivations. It's all so dull.
>>78535584
>Spiral Staircase
Did this arc explain how Zoom survived Flashpoint or did they just use this to profit off the show's plotline?
>>78535598
>>78535627
>source on this?
There is none, /co/ is making shit up again. Morrison has gone on record about New 52 and he's pretty chill about it.
>"It’s not so much of a strain because the work stands and it will always stand, and fortunately for me, it connects to every year of Batman, so even when people pick up a 1940s collection they might be reminded of something in the story that I’ve just finished, so I don’t mind that," the veteran writer told Maxim. "And honestly, although it feels like having the carpet pulled out from under you when the universe changes, at the same time it has to do that, you know? I’ve been on the book for quite a long time and I think it’s very important for new people to come in and tell the story from a different angle, and to revamp it and revitalize it for a different generation of readers. So yeah, it obviously feels weird to have my version of Batman contradicted, but I think it’s essential, and it has to happen."
>>78535584
He's also got Hunter's dad-murdered-his-mom origin, too.
>>78542420
They used it to profit off the show's plotline, bringing in Wally is a good example of this.
Wow so this happened, that shiny fucking colouring is a fucking eyesore and is giving me a headache.
Before the show came out I was really expecting Manapul and Buccellato to make Frye Professor Zoom in disguise.
>>78542648
That's sickening. I was hoping DC wouldn't pull a Marvel with this, but I guess we're not so lucky. Considering it's technically Zoom's fault for the New52 (technically), we probably shouldn't have had him come back
>>78542745
lol
>>78542745
A lot of New 52 bugs me even with DCYou because of stuff like this. I won't see Wally West as the Flash on a screen or a period piece Justice Society movie because neither gels well with the modernized take New 52 seems to push that's coincided with the media. Suicide Squad seems less an Ostrander movie than the New 52.
I'm buying volumes of flash up until Daniel RF just to forget what Booth and co turned it into. Guarantee CW flash design will bleed over to the book soon enough
>>78542745
It's not DC pulling a Marvel. It's the creative team thinking that's what Flash readers want and editorial not stopping them because DC fell into a "let creators tell the stories they want to tell" period and that's not a wholly good idea.
>>78543888
Yeah just ask Snyder. Only good thing the fucker did was the court of owls and he's still on the damn book
>>78535707
>If you kill him you'll be as bad as him
Sure Barry, let the insane mass murdering speedster with time travel live, I'm sure nothing could possibly go wrong
Wait, this whole time I've been under the assumption that this is pre-nu52 Thawne who survived the reboot.
...It isn't?
>>78544258
Why would it be?
>>78544282
Because he was left in the past when Barry ran to the future and created the nu52 timeline.
>>78544008
Uhh, IGN gave Death of the Family 10/10 thank you very much :^)
>>78535420
Best Flash issue we've gotten in YEARS.
>>78543835
Daniel RF was good in Suicide Squad at least as simply a villainous Wally.
>>78536188
>Deathstroke
>Flashpoint Batman
>Henry
I think you're onto something.
