That's ~1800 crystals a month assuming you're actively playing.

They're a lot easier to come by than they used to be. Still, I'd recommend getting Stark Stash. It's $3.50 for a month of 75 crystals a day + 200 up front. The regular crystal package prices are disgustingly overpriced though, even when they're having BOGO sales.

Literally this. The tokens should've been 5k a pop like they used to be and that's your reward for not gambling, the lvl4 chips suck and should be either removed or replaced with lvl 5 chips of less quantity to be useful.

That way you have more of a chance for norns gear up kits debris and hell, maybe throw a few 4* isos in there for good measure.

If NB really want people to play that mode they need to have a daily achievement for it or something, or at least remind me of it in some way, I often forget it even exists most days.

I've been playing since May with a break somewhere in the middle and didn't pay anything up until a month or so ago. And I've never been one to buy in-app purchases. You can easily play the game without spending money, the game gives you plenty of opportunities for free crystals and the start-up bonuses for newbies now is pretty good. But if you do end up wanting to spend some money in the game, definitely pick up Stark's Stash

It's not pay to win. You can get 25 crystals a day from trophies eventually, plus 100 each week from check in and another 160 or so each week from timeline. Plus new players get starting bonuses like free 3* characters.

Just go for the easiest to farm characters and you'll do fine. It's only if you want a rare character that money is more needed, and even then Stark Stash will carry you well if you're patient

Those two are pretty hard to acquire freely, sad to say.

Rocket Raccoon is normally only an Ally Shifter- that is to say, when you do story missions, occasionally you can get additional NPCs popping in to help or fight you (there'll be a big pop-up when you start the stage), and when you complete the stage you'll get one of their biometrics. It's random, though, and Rocket's just one of the heroes in the Ally pool.

Star-Lord is even harder, though - you have to buy Chaos Chests with tokens you get through Villain Siege for a random chance at some of his biometrics.

They're both Blast type, though, so if you get some selectors for that (through daily log-ins, mostly), you can "farm" them up that way, too.

2. Do daily achievements in whatever order I feel like, I do all 10 timeline battles and usually around 30 missions or so (on repeat so depends on how lucky I get with bios). Right now I tend to do all the chapter 9 missions but sometimes I'll go earlier to get some mats.

You get them from adding people to friends list. Every 24 hours you can send 20 points to all your friends and they can send 20 to you. You also get I think 5 points every time someone uses your character in a stage through the "have a character jump in for 10 seconds and fight" thing

Max is 2,000. Can trade 500 for 25 energy, 3 times a day. Or 300 for a box with a random drop but it's never worth it, just go energy.

I've been playing since Red Hulk was the login character for the week; I've never spent a dime and have all but two characters(Giant Man and Lincoln Campbell), 6* full masteried Blade and Black Widow with costumes, and Throot/Quake costumes as well. I just bought both 90 bio selector packages and spent them on Jessica Jones, and have enough crystals for the third in the coming week.

Random. A 3* clear is necessary to unlock Auto-play+ without paying, and also to use Clear Tickets on that stage, but getting the bio drops from a stage is random. You DO have up to a limit for retries to get those bios, though. (It used to be that you'd have 3 tries for a random drop per stage, period - now you can keep trying until you get them)
