When I say reboot, I mean making a Thor movie, with all new actors cast as everyone, and pretending all of his appearances before then have never happened. They fucked Thor up beyond repair, and the only way to fix it is to reboot it, which won't happen for at least another 20 years.

Why didn't Marvel doing this during Phase 2? This is a great way to answer the "why don't the Avengers just assemble" question while also leaving room for new Marvel characters to have their own movies.

I agree, but I think the formula is more cemented now. The producers have to take their movie ideas to investors and explain why they think it will make money and now 8 years later that part sort of does itself.
That's why they're packing so many movies into phase 3 and doing 3 a year instead of two now, because now after GotG and Ant-Man they think they can't fail with new shit.
