I still remember watching Eddsworld back in middle school on the shitty PCs during computer time.
I still remember forgetting all about it until a few months before Edd passed and loving it. Reliving the old, watching the new.
I still remember the news of his death, it was the first time I truly felt sad about the death of someone I didn't know on a personal level.
I still remember watching space face part 2 and feeling optimistic about the new animation and how the show might do without Edd.

Then, like clockwork, every new short or episode came out, and every one was shittier and more disappointing than the last. It doesn't feel the same, and it never will /co/

Even so, it just seems weird to continue doing a show that kinda centers on someone who died. At least Edd isn't here to see what the show has become.

I don't understand why they wouldn't keep it that way. Something about Edds style felt really appealing, and not sterile like most Post-Edd episodes. Although the main issue is obviously the fact Toms fast, joke a minute style clashes with Edds very slow paced style that was much less reliant on gross-out/edgy stuff.

Also Tom made the huge mistake of offering too much too soon with the fundraiser. It'd been like 2 months since he died and I think everyone would have accepted taking as much time as needed for the next episodes, but then he suddenly started offering "Eddsworld book, movie and documentary if we hit this goal" when the number was stupidly low, although that may play in part to Tom having a really skewed view of how animation works due to Edd being a machine, not to mention being overwhelmed with gratitude after multiple close people apparently said they wouldn't even make the first target.
