Was he a good guy
He wanted to get rid of crime which was fine, but then he went into his "kill everybody so there'll never be crime ever" thing, which would stop crime but it obviously wouldn't be fair to the entire human race. Crime is a byproduct of humanity. We just have to get used to it for now.

I remember awhile back someone on /co/ storytimed a comic about the origins of Judge Death. Anyone know what it might have been called? It seemed like a more modern comic.

You want Judge Death: Boyhood of a Superfiend, Psi Judge Anderson: Half-Life, and maybe Dreams of Deadworld (although that's set post-transformation).

>Crime is a byproduct of humanity
Crime is a byproduct rules.
Other creatures have a concept of "fairness" (check out the incredibly striking video of a monkey appearing to feel cheated when handed a nut as a reward, after seeing another monkey getting handed a grape as a reward for the exact same task), so it stands to reason that they'll have a concept of "crime" when someone deliberately breaks the rules of fairness.
>>78358015
Death is still my favorite out of the bunch.
>>78358015
Fear but only because I think of him as being the Dark Judge equivalent of Chunk from The Goonies.
>>78361591
Damn you nut

Nigga, sure lost his nut
>"I have to end all life oh but I'm like a zombie so I don't count myself"
So what, if he found a city run by zombies he'd just leave it be? Fuckin' dumbass.

pretty sure they addresed this in one of the joke strips
>Just a second. Just a second. These old bones can't make it to the door like they used to. Well, Judge Dredd! This is a pleasant surprise! A visit on Christmas!
>This isn't a social call, Mrs. Gunderson. I'm here on official business.
>You might say it's no trouble at all but I appreciate it. Not much company this time of year for an old widow I'm afraid. Please, come in. I'll make some nice tea.
>I'm here because of this.
>A gift? And I haven't a thing for you.
>It's not from me! The Public Surveillance Unit flagged a suspicious package that was addressed to you. They believe that it has a connection to Judge Death and they want me to observe your reaction to it.
>Oh, it's from Mr. De'ath? How lovely of you to bring it to me. He's such a fine young man.
>Could you open it please?
>If you don't mind, I'll open it first.
>You do that.
>Why, it's a recording of him and his friends. Morris, Farr, and Fehr.
>You know those men?
>Well, I haven't met them but he talked about them. If they're friends with Mr. De'ath, I'm sure that they're perfect gentlemen just like him.
>Would you mind playing that recording? I have a lot on my plate at this time of year.
>Oh, a plate of cookies would be divine with the tea. Just let me play the recording first.

See, now I want to know whatsort of voice type they each have, whether its countertenor, tenor, baritone, and bass. They've got enough for a choir with one of each, and all the time in the world to practice.
As someone who wants to get into Judge Dredd comics a little more. Would you guys say Total War is a good place to start? I was thinking about getting that.
>>78369981
What have you read so far?
Anything like the Cursed Earth or Apocalypse War?
>>78369981
honestly man, its a really good story and if you want a good read, go ahead, but if u wanna get inot the series it will ruin a lot of other shit. If you can, try going with AMerica first as TW is a sequel to that.
