Good evening owls of /co/,

Tonight Jeff Parker picks up the cast of Digglebolts, they meet the Agents of Atlas, and we get to see the ultimate fate of Mr. X--you won't want to miss it!
>>
>>78301642
Hello Storyteller.

More of Mr. X getting rekt? Sounds good.
>>
Hey storyteller!

I remember reading that Parker ignores that random frozen real Yelena thing from last night's storytime, which is a waste of cool but ridiculous goggles.

Ghost would be as good at sexual harassment as Tinya!

I tried to sell a NOTHING POST-REBOOT dude on Omega Men today, but he's still hung up on how the reboot didn't need to happen

however, he's also a bitter X-Men fan and hasn't liked the Avengers since Bendis made them into the Wolverine and Spidey crew, so, well

>>
That CBR article by a long time comic shop owner about relaunches and variants being bad/confusing for retailers and readers made me happy.
And kinda sad since I doubt any of the publishers cough marvel cough really care about it right now as long as they have 100k+ for the 1st issue.

>>78301900
He didn't even listen to it not having anything to do with the reboot?
>>
>>78301900
>Ghost would be as good at sexual harassment as Tinya!
It's a damn shame they'll never meet. If DC and Marvel ever did another crossover, the Legion is nearly guaranteed to be mingling with the X-Men mostly.

Sounds like you ran into a NOT MUH sort there.
>>
>>78301900

>Bendis made them into the Wolverine and Spidey crew, so, well

I always thought that was one of the weaker critiques of his Avengers. Tho I guess it's just a way of complaining about Bendis shitting on old characters.

The clerk, though, who is a riot (I showed him War Machine 2.0 the last time I was there and he lost it) perked up when I described the paneling style and the density and the NO HANDHOLDING drop in

also I scored some L.E.G.I.O.N. including that Stealth issue, going back for the rest when it's 50 cent day

>Is it, though? They had like a crazy 75% market share in November, although a lot of their recent success is Star Wars.
apparently a lot of the sell through is not so great, plus relaunch numbers are either dropping immediately to the same as the previous volume or doing worse than before

their market share in November was like 47% which is still extremely high but #1s are still coming out

So, short version:

Agents of Atlas is a fictional superhero team in comic books published by Marvel Comics. It is composed of characters originally appearing in unrelated stories published in the 1950s by Marvel's predecessor company, Atlas Comics.

The characters debuted as a team in What If #9 (June 1978) and starred in the 2006 limited series Agents of Atlas, written by Jeff Parker and with art by Leonard Kirk.

there's a few first declension -a endings that are masculine nouns but yeah they wouldn't do that with a woman's name, unless it was meant to be a point that she was a woman with a male name but nobody ever pointed that out in a book so I'm guessing no

>Due to many factors, there are many examples of gorillas appearing in comic books, particularly during the Silver Age of Comic Books.
>Before the "Silver Age", stories involving gorillas were inordinately popular in other media, most notably movies such as King Kong and Mighty Joe Young. The comic book industry attempted to cash in on this craze, and similarly increased the appearance of gorillas in their medium. This continued into the 1970s, reflecting the continued popularity of "gorilla movies" such as Planet of the Apes. In the late 1980s, the appearance of gorillas in comic books sharply declined, partly due to the decreasing depictions of them in other media, as well as the end of the Silver Age of Comics, and the backlash against "silly" plot-devices in the comic book form.

SO long story short, setup for Siege and why shit's going down:

>Norman Osborn calls a meeting of the super-villain Cabal, consisting of Doctor Doom, the Hood, the Taskmaster and the Asgardian God Loki, to discuss Asgard. Asgard is the home of the Norse Gods now located floating above Broxton, Oklahoma and the last holdout in Osborn's consolidation of power. A rift develops between Doom and Osborn, creating mayhem that appears to dissolve the group. Later, under his guise of respectability, Osborn attempts in vain to secure from the President of the United States permission to invade Asgard under the claim it poses a national security threat. On Loki's advice, Osborn engineers a tragedy in which the hapless Asgardian Volstagg, manipulated into battling the super-villain team the U-Foes, inadvertently causes an explosion that kills everyone in a crowded Soldier Field football stadium in Chicago, Illinois. This gives Osborn the justification to lay siege on Asgard with military troops as well as with the Dark Avengers—his team of super-villains posing as superheroes and with loyalists planted amid the various "50-State Initiative" teams of heroes.

Let's see if Wiki can help me here because fucked if I can remember details of Fraction's snooze-a-thon:

>Because Tony Stark had purposely lobotomized himself into a vegetative state, and had his power of attorney transferred over to Donald Blake, Madame Masque hired Ghost to kill Stark. She provided him a phone made by the Tinkerer, which he could use to execute his phase abilities to reach any place in the world. Ghost managed to track Stark to Broxton, Oklahoma, where he twice attempted to assassinate Stark. All the while, Stark's comrades were attempting to reboot his brain. By then, Stark had regained consciousness and used the Ghost's own phone against him, sending him to a facility in Seoul.
