And there are also the book adaptations for children that change part of the plot to avoid spoilers. The Iron Man 3 one lacked the "Mandarin is a fake" part, replaced Killian in the final battle with his bodyguard, added a scene of Mandarin mad looking at the scene from a monitor and basically the story finishes with "Mandarin and Killian escaped, but we still have Iron Man so who cares?"

Similarly, the ones for the subsequent movies stop the plot before the last half hour ending on "[villain] escaped, but we still have [hero or group of heroes that are in the title] so who cares?"
