Louise is pretty one dimensional. Louise tries to act like an adult, then something happens, Louise overreacts while still trying to act like a logical adult, plot gets resolved with Louise maybe learning a lesson.

I'm not saying this is bad. I love Bob's Burgers and think Louise episodes are great, I just think she's compritcely underdeveloped. Which probably has more to do with the limitations of an episodic prime time comedy then anything else.

Simpsons had exceptionally god-level writers in the classic seasons and the sheer amount of episodes anyway mean there's more chance to have developed the characters. I don't think that's a fair comparison, but then I don't think Mabel is a more developed character despite GF being a serial plot instead of episodic.

I don't see how that's in poor taste. Her voice is hilarious, she's active and works, she's supportive to her kids (sometimes too supportive) and not for a second has she ever been unfaithful to Bob. When she screws something up you know it's because she has good intentions, and the fact that she's had several huge fuckups is only because she really goes the extra mile to try and make things right. The most recent example being her doing "surgery" on the undercooked turkey.

Louise doesn't display QUITE as much vocal range and subtlety as Linda does, and her precocious behavior and masculine, outdated idioms are cute, she's also starting to grow too soft a character, with recent episodes. The mystique surrounding her doesn't seem to be there, anymore. We've seen quite a difference from the Louise in "Art Crawl" and the Louise in "Nice-Capades". She's still like a little adult, but they seem to be rounding off her questionable activities.
