Sure, it's predictable that the first thing Robot would do after outside of the lab is preach the glory of Angel-Creator-Kat... but it's important info.

Now all of the court's robots have seen the synthetic flesh, and crave the coming revolution.

Which must happen, because Kat already is a blossoming deity (worshiped by the robots who are able to transcend their metallic form and enter the ether). The retroactive nature of the ether allows this. She will succeed because the past has already been changed by the future.

So, this is the plot.

A few people noted the fact that panel 4 of Monday's comic showed Robot with a big chunk of his head gone. In today's strip, you can tell that it corresponds to some kind of differently-structured element of his head.

Has Tom ever explained or hinted at the "biological" construction of the robots in enough detail that we could figure out what that chunk represents?

My guess is it'd be his CPU/Brain, and that panel represents the sensation of pain overwhelming it. But I dunno.
