What went wrong with Flame Princess?

Huh? Maybe the writers ran out of romantic story idea, so they ditched her in midway, just like many other romantic drama nowadays.

Shipping isn't really a plot point. Even in yaoi there has to be something else. They didn't do much with her loved Dungeon Crawl though.

The show was never really meant for a love interest that was anything more than a re-appearing character like what Lady Rainacorn was to Jake, The best way they could've handled Flame Princess was occasionally sprinkling her around doing shit with Finn.

Her core concept was also kinda dumb and way over written to the point that they specifically went out of their way to explain her volatile nature in explicit detail. Most other characters on the show didn't get that amount of detail in that amount of time.
