Despite the censors and animation, the show is damn good if not cheesy. And yes I've watched it recently. Still the default voice for Peter in my head when reading comics.

I wouldn't say awful, though I would say it feels more boring than it did back then, but I mean that should be expected. I've been exposed to better animation, the show isn't new to me anymore, so it's pretty difficult to give a fair comparison of when I first watched it to now.

I disagree.
But have to admit, it had good and bad episodes.

For example, all about spiderslayer was very cheesy. It felt more like power ranger or kamen rider.
But the venom episodes were good.

It's still charming and I thank it for getting me into comics, but yes, it aged like milk.

I thought the show was dated when I was a kid but still loved it. Recently I bought the series on bootleg at a con because I wanted to own it so badly and was suprised to find the animation was much better then I thought it was. The CGI is silly, the pacing is a bit rushed which is an odd but accurate criticism but the voice acting is awesome and if you don't think the show is genuinely quality i feel like it'd still be fun in a nostalgic cheesy way. I still love it

I liked that it had pretty complex multi-episode story arcs, and whent ehy brought back the old Timley Comics WW2 characters.

It had the only good Jason Macendale in all history of Marvel and great Kingpin and Baron Mordo. It can't be all awful.

It was mixed reaction for me. Yeah the animation, some of the VA was terrible and the censorship was horrible but it had based villains, the most of cast of B:TAS and the only show that actually stood on long enough to get into the Spider man mythos.
