I just realized something.

Ruby's gunscythe is named Crescent Rose.
Ruby's visual motif involves many things flowing off of her cape that seem like petals, and her symbol is a rose.
The moon of Remnant is shattered but part of the fragments remain, almost as if they were still flowing off of the remaining segment.
The intact part of the moon is shaped in a thin curved shape referred to as a crescent moon.
The scythe part of Crescent Rose is also a thin and curved shape.
Both Ruby's weapon and the moon of Remnant can be described as a Crescent Rose.

It's alright so far, but I have concerns about Aura effectively doubling the character's HP value. Also, including third-party modifications to your weapon opens some scary doors where you git gud with your weapon, then pass it around blacksmiths like a cheap whore, gradually accumulating more and more ridiculous functions. The modifications should be personally-crafted.

That said, I'm withholding final judgement until I've seen the class in full.

The main drawback to this class is that is has sweet fuck-all in the way of proficiencies, and while you are proficient with your weapon, it's also the ONLY weapon you're proficient in.
Another major thing to take into account is that it may have high EHP, but it's actual HP is a low as it gets. So sure, you can tank more hits, but if your aura drops in a fight you face the very real danger of being one-shot by an attack.
Remember that in 5e, if an attack reduces you to 0 HP and still has leftover damage greater than your max HP, you just straight die.
The third-party modifications is mostly dust/magic compatibility, not so much physical modifications. It'd be damn near impossible to find a blacksmith that could work with your weapons, let alone one that'd charge a reasonable price.
Of course if your DM's a pushover then that's not a problem, but no amount of balancing can fix bad DMing.

While you have weak offensive capabilities, so far it looks like you have stupid high defensive capabilities. You can tank out twice as much as almost anybody else, and with a good CON mod you'll tough out even Barbarians no sweat, since Aura also scales off of CON. If you're getting hit too much, you can sacrifice some of your pool to give your AC a bit of a surge, and you can also increase it passively using other means. Since it's 5E, those +1s and +2s mean a lot more than if you were playing 3.Xe or PF.

I've literally never seen the instant kill condition apply, and I've been working with 5E since the early playtests. No matter when it happens, if you actually get to the point where you're at risk of being instant-killed, you are almost always in over your head. With Aura, that goes double since you have double the health to get through. Sure, early on you still have to take that chip damage to your HP, but it's hardly a concern.

I'll hold off on commenting on the weapon modifications until I see your plans/concepts/ideas for dust/magic capabilities.

Yang winning through her own skill is virtually impossible at the current stage. Merc either wins outright or throws the match. There's no real reason to interrupt the tournament when one of Cinder's main cohorts is in the middle of something else that he can't easily escape from.

The Aura cost for such benefits is pretty damn high though. Even with a +2 Con modifier at level 10 with average rolls you're looking at around 60 aura, use the negation and the AC buff just 3 attacks and you're already missing a third of your aura, and that's assuming the AC buff actually managed to prevent the attack from landing in the first place.
