It could be easily explained as her "not-mutant" powers being the ability to use chaos magic. You know, the same way magneto can control magnetism, cyclops can channel punches from the punch dimenson, so she can draw chaos magic energies.
BUT, since her powers give her an affinity to magic, to chaos magic to be sure, but still a certain magical sixth sense, she can easily learn other magic the way a normal wich would.

Her mutant power is she makes incredibly unlikely shit happen. Similar to Domino's power, but an active thing she can make happen to shit that doesn't necessarily result in benefit to her, rather than Domino's passive ability that pretty well solely effects her current actions / survival.

Of course, making shit not work the way it's supposed to on top of being able to work magical spells makes SW pretty dangerous.

It might be both, especially since she is a multi-classing of magic sources between native affinity and Chthon. She might have spells which she learned about from women which were culturally passed down through women but don't have a specific requirement for female users, as well as ones that invoke a goddess or some other force who is going to only work with a female caster or some other condition.

This actually would be interesting to explore more of the exclusive abilities of the different "schools" of magic in Marvel.
