What did you think of Justice League Unlimited?
suffered under heavy censorship and the dreaded bat-embargo
first season had a few mistakes in direction, such as liney-faced oldy-voiced superman.. but in general? good fuckin show
Except for the potential Birds of Prey episode getting ruined, I have absolutely no objection the Bat-Embargo. Batman gets enough of the limelight without his side characters involved already.
guys. A) fuck you. One of the oldest characters in DC history and all of his associated characters is a HUGE missing piece that caused them to rely on way more obscure villains and fuck up important stories they wanted to adapt
B) this is not an adaptation of DC comics in general, this is a crossover of BTAS and STAS with the various guest characters they met in their respective series. Within the show, they are the two most experienced heroes. They're leading the shit.
like most Bruce Timm productions? Too short. It could have gone on another 2 seasons, at least.
still, did an AMAZING job of highlighting how sexual some of the female characters were, while at the same time not abandoning respect for them and relegating them to little more than sex objects. That's a very hard line to walk, and he does it well.
Has any info been released yet?? I'm kind of nervous though... CN has a really bad track record. Hoping it won't be canceled after 2 seasons.
Great and justified representation of a broad spectrum of the DC universe with top writing and still some of the best characterization I've seen in any DC adaptation. And definitely the most successful non-comic adaptation to impart a truly global scale to the working idea of a superhero team. Applies to both Justice League and Unlimited (I consider the two as one).
>tfw when Arrow's writers will never put in anything this great
>Starfire and Raven will NEVER show up in a season 3 of young justice
I've never been so disappointed in my life.
>85 episodes of Batman related characters + 52 more with Batman Beyond
>3 movies + Return of the Joker
>characters still made apperances in the original Justice League
>WAAAA IT'S NOT ENOUGH!
>it took 4 hours for the league to beat AMAZO!
>the epic NOT sidekicks beat it in 5 minutes using the power of teamwork!
It gave me my husbando, so that's good
While at first it seemed like they were just dragging up capes to see what the audience liked, I really liked how it fell into it's groove later.
The Cadmus Arc was great, it was interesting to see an enemy they couldn't just punch away.
>I miss the dress
>You didn't miss it last night.
Utterly brilliant, no other superhero cartoon holds a candle to the Timmverse in general. And i'm primarily a Spiderman fan.
One thing i really like about unlimited in particular is how much it feels like Star Trek. (Is it just me?)
Timm always did a magnificent job of incorporating a degree of sexuality into his shows and characters, without taking away from the integrity of the characters, or causing some uproar among parents.
still, i can't help but wonder, what scripts were scrapped or re-written because networks said "no," or what was animated, and then cut, for the same reason?
I'd love to see "lost episodes" that were never made, or never aired, because of content, or "special edition" episodes that had content restored.
> i can't help but wonder, what scripts were scrapped or re-written because networks said "no"
What can top this crap?
>find loving wife
>make love to her with the intentions of procreating
>my baby boy, love him so much
>after having another kid divorce a couple of years later
>keep my boy
>he's an ass to me but that's normal on his age
>get killed for knowing too much
but in reality
>was keked through science
>almost killed for the sake of turing my kid into a psychopathic vigilante
>he wasn't technically my kid neither was the other one
>be cursed to produce Wayne sperm for life
>got killed anyway
What's the actual story with this game?
It's when a bunch of tumblrdykes decided that not wearing tampons during their period was somehow progressive or something, resulting in period blood EVERYWHERE
It was a /pol/ troll about women refusing to use pads/tampons, trying to get crazy feminists to do it.
Then some runner did it to, I dunno, increase awareness of shitty countries that don't have those products or something
Its a mix of a few JLU episodes but mainly the episode where Roulette takes the female leaguers and has them fight. Instead of having them fight its a strip club and brothel. You play as Lex
Remember when the League went to the Not Playboy Mansion and Not Hugh Hefner offered Wonder Woman a job?
Oh and Flash outright admitted he has a subscription to Not Playboy.
>"I, uh, read it for the articles."
>tfw there's no porn of her
>he doesn't want to pretend he's Lex fucking Luthor
wow m8 you're retarded
The article joke falls flat for me because it's supposed to imply guys read it for the tits yet it's much more common to read it for the articles.
She told him he could look but not touch, then said if he helps her take down Superman she might give him a little taste.
When he kept trying to be grabby, she fucking slapped his shit with lightning and said no means no.
I'd say give him money famo, I can spare $10 a month
check out the artist too dawg I'm trying to get the game asap
Did some one say Injustice Unlimited?
It's going to be a Princess Trainer type game. I've played the demo, it looks like it's going to be 10x better than PT.
at least post the newer one famo
Check either /weg/ or /stg/ on aco. Should be in either op. If its the 1.4 version though there is a problem where save files couldn't be created so just be careful. If you can get 1.3 play the first three days, them play 1.4
Ok famo. Also, 1.5 is out and about, and saving works
good thing too, because it crashes and freezes on a occasion, but it's an alpha.
You got to lurk more, or give a Patreon donation to play the demo. I found it on Hotwheel's chan.
I want to cuddle Rampage
>No 34 of Inque in this form
Why do people insist on drawing her in her humanoid form?
Here comes an extremely unpopular opinion.
After enjoying Young Justice I wanted to watch another DC show, with Justice League and what not. I've read a bunch of glowing reviews and gave Justice League a go. I watched a fair bit of it, probably close to ten episodes, but I was kinda dissapointed. It was boring, the plots seemed basic and predictible, the characters unispired. I mean I would really love it as kid, it failed to capture the attantion of a twenty-something neckbeard.
You haven't lived till you told Giganta to rob a bank
>too tall to fit on the screen
I know it's supposed to be accurate but I find it hilarious
Does the League pay a salary to all those heroes?
It's not like they can keep a job if they are needed 24/7.
I know they can eat for free at the Watchtower's cafeteria and each have their own rooms, but I don't think most can live without some material goods.
From the game, not yet. She's getting added on the 20th.
From the artist yeah
I'm sure it was something small or whatever like a poster for your quarters or something for a hobby the League would cover it. Something about hobbies keeping your mind sharp or something beneficial.
>The name's "Giganta."
>It's not a problem for you, is it?
>Quite the opposite
And there are people on this board right now who will talk shit about DCAU Shade
He is one of us
Not that guy but it was minor shit like Hugo Strange not allowed to be part of Cadmus after their introduction episode or how Joker was supposed to appear in My Little Piggy. I'm not sure what he's on about in terms of bug changes though
>That epilogue isn't fucking canon
>I refuse to fucking believe that Terry was planned all from start
The reason Bruce Timm went with that plot was because they realized Terry's parents didn't have the right genes for Terry to inherent black hair. It was also planned to be Catwoman instead of Waller at one point.
The first half of Unlimited definitely felt like that then Question Authority aired and it really picked up steam. Sadly it started to chug down when they couldn't use so many of the characters anymore during the Secret Society season.
WAIT ONE FUCKING MINUTE.
HE USES HIS BOW TO RIDE DOWN THE ROPE
BUT THEN HE HOPS OFF THE ROPE, WITHOUT NEEDING TO UNSTRING AND RESTRING HIS BOW.
So there was a bug in the 1.4 build where if you didnt have an earlier save from the previous builds it didnt make one. What you can do is either get 1.3 and play the first 3 days save and start 1.4. Or get 1.5 which fixed the save bug but added a lot more bugs. Stuffs on aco
Just this image and some of the voice cast.
Apparently, Conroy will voice Batman and Plastic Man, while Hamill will be Joker and Swamp Thing.
>all those Ben10 concepts
>the final product
Many of them involve The Question but this one in particular is his best.
Question getting BTFO'd by Luthor after his godtier monologue on how he's going to kill Luthor
Superman delivering Mongol his beating in For the Man Who has Everything
Flash becoming apart of the speed force
Flash-Luthor switching bodies
This one moment made me binge watch JLU and JL straight to see if he made an appearance again
I gotta agree with >>78035155, Flash vs. Lex Luthor Brainiac is pretty great.
Lex-Brainiac solos the entire core JLA, Flash barely gets out of the rubble and Lex-Brainiac goes to kill him, trying to make the possible future of JSA being real.
He breaks out and Lex mocks him, saying that he (Flash) is going to beat Lex. And he runs... Only to come back a few seconds later with a Mach Punch. Que Flash running so fast he merges with the Speed Force, shreds Lex-Brainiac and seperates Brainiac (who has merged w/ Lex on a biological level) and kills/removes him before merging with the Speed Force entirely.
The added scene of them pulling him out of the Speed Force shortly afterwards is pretty cool.
>Joker was supposed to appear in My Little Piggy
I love Timm and co talking about that bit.
He was gonna be in the middle of either setting up or committing a crime and see Batman chasing Wonder Pig down the street and just throw his hands in the air and say, "Fuck it! I can't top that! Everybody go home!"
>Not knowing who Captain Nazi is
Why are you here
>They're leading the shit.
Then why was Jonn making most of the decisions in JLU?
Timm straight up said there is no leader in the JL because the big 7 are all Captain Kirks.
I enjoy Arrow as a show but the whole boxing glove arrow felt so forced and out of place. I get its awesome and fits with the comic character but show Ollie did not and still has not earned the ability to be that cheeky. It is probably the shows biggest failure in my opinion. Show Ollie needs to get his joke cracking, flirtatious, chili that destroys wills self on and get away from all this conflicted love struck fuckery his character is mired in.
>Show Ollie needs to get his joke cracking, flirtatious, chili that destroys wills self on and get away from all this conflicted love struck fuckery his character is mired in.
In comics lore, GA is a known whore who spends most of his life in bullshit romance drama. Collosal slut and the apache chiefs ho of a wife fucked behind the chiefs back and that lead to the chief getting killed.
Hell he's only on the map in the first place because he's fucking black canary(who's now a terrible fighter and a boring pointless dyke in the arrow canon) and she told the league "My boyfriend is now on the roster, deal with it".
The other half of his personality? He's a free love hippy and environmentalist. Something that is frowned upon in media because thinking like that leads to a loss in profits and people deciding that stupid pointless battles against nothing and interpersonal drama is less important then actually helping people. environmental concerns. and getting shit done.
It was great and the place loved it, then the Batman meme hate started and now people can only remember that Batman did something that he shouldn't have done or something like that
Actually been marathoning the whole series the last couple days, just got to unlimited. Really enjoying it, hawkgirl is best. This sequence was gold
Also this ep was really gay.
I'm glad this series came out back in early 00's, if it came out today, half of /co/ would probably declare it as part of some conspiratorial agenda and hate it, as usual.
Man, they barely made any bones about Diana wanting to jump this girl's vag. Kind of makes the rest of the story more interesting: how much of Wondy's actions are really motivated by altruism, and how much is it that she doesn't want that creepy fuck Vandal Savage sniffing around a pussy she's claimed?
>I'm glad this series came out back in early 00's, if it came out today, half of /co/ would probably declare it as part of some conspiratorial agenda and hate it, as usual.
if it came out today, it might have indeed been that.
and that's the worst part. now i look at all media and i wonder "what agenda are they pushing?" rather than just enjoy a story. i miss just enjoying a story, but the fact is they are pushing shit.
fuck, even my brother noticed that, and he stays intentionally blind to that shit. he's full blown "see not evil, hear no evil" and even he has seen through it.
Man this whole episode makes me sad. (In a good way)
You think that's sad, watch the JLU followup Wake The Dead
World Made of Cardboard
Everything in Great Brain Robbery
Caught me again, Flash!
Anytime the Question is on screen
Batman singing Am I Blue?
The Booster Gold episode
That adaption of For the Man Who Has Everything (One of my favorite Superman stories)
The Secret Society civil war
Flash tapping into the Speed Force
Captain Marvel vs. Superman
Always the best Lois version.
1. It was an AMAZO prototype
2. Ivo was not present when the League fought AMAZO, so he wouldn't have switched its main priority to protect Ivo, leaving it defenseless for long enough for the Team to barely destroy it.
Question and Green Arrow were great, but got way too little screentime.
Eh, it always felt like they were trying to be edgy. Came off as crass.
Agendas have been pushed as long as tv has existed. Today there are more people aware of it. That's the only difference.
I missed the orchestrated soundtracks from the two previous series. The music in this felt cheap.
Try it out. Its porn and resource management. You get to play as mother fucking Lex Luthor and tell people to rob banks and shit while you run a strip club and a brothel, while also trying to get Harley, Lois and Mercy to do what you want, all while the league is out for you
I wonder how Lex would feel about there being a universe where a bunch of horny nerds on the internet managed to (technically) hold off the league and subdue their women, all while he's struggled to do it multiple times
There's always an agenda. All art is either deliberately political or unintentionally political. You're either sharper about noticing things now or the agendas pushed were closer to your own.
Captain Boomerang (joke character mainly, has a jerking off scene where he plays with his bent boomerang dick and no matter where he points it the cum always flies back and hits him in the face)
So in Injustice, does Harley not come back after you give her the diamond? I went to the Legion hideout to "watch the aftermath" but nobody was there. She still available to choose a henchwomen but nothing else and her room says "Nothing yet"
