Not really true. If anything Pixar was always the one who shied away from human characters in their films. And really Up and the Incredibles are the only examples that buck this trend. Everything else from Pixar has been anthropomorphic, animal or inanimate.

I don't know, there's something about Disney's character design that always enjoyable to watch even though some of them almost pretty much has the same expression.
Unlike Dreamworks, I always had a mixed feelings when it comes to their character design, sometimes they aren't bad, but sometimes it felt horrible like The Croods and Home.
