>Hannah-Barbera character getting a cameo on a Cartoon Network show.
It was pretty common back in the 90's/early 2000's-era cartoon cartoons. Nowadays you'd never get it, kids don't know who they are and the yucky 1960's aren't PC.
>Hannah-Barbera character getting a cameo on a Adult swim show.
>>77944812
I've never seen anything overly triggering in a Hanna-Barbera cartoon.
>Hannah-Barbera character becoming a recurring character of an Adult swim show
>>77944878
That's "action johnny", not Johnny Quest.
>cartoons
>>77944812
That's because when CN had a fairly limited library of cartoons, that was the only stuff they used to show, so anyone born before 2000-ish has at least seen some of those old HB cartoons. (Space Ghost C2C, Brak Show, and Harvey Birdman are debatable)inb4 'it's still limited: it's mostly TTG now'
>>77944792
This episode made me realize that Fred was just a mindless savage all this time.
Sad that his wife and friends died tho.
>>77944792
It's Jake Steel!
>>77944792
I do kinda miss when H-B cameos were frequent in CN originals
Then again, it would be really jarring to see Yogi Bear in Regular Show or Adventure Time or whatever
>>77945243
>That's because when CN had a fairly limited library of cartoons, that was the only stuff they used to show, so anyone born before 2000-ish has at least seen some of those old HB cartoons.
CN is a blessing and a curse to the cartoons they own.
If they like something, they run it to death. But if they don't like something and refuse to show it, they still sit on it, sight-unseen—it's not like someone else gets to show it or market it.
Awhile ago, they seem to have decided that the only truly marketable characters owned by Turner/Hanna-Barbera are Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry, with the Flintstones and Yogi Bear trailing some distance behind.
As a result, they let dozens of Hanna-Barbera characters vanish from existence. They're almost nobody's favorites, but they didn't deserve this either.
Unfortunately, CN treated Looney Tunes the same way, damaging it irreparably for parent company Warner.
>>77945309
I refuse to believe that Fred is a wild man with limited vocabulary.
>>77945444
He is barbaric and violent. This episode showed us.
>not muh Fred.
Its canon, accept it.
JAKE STEEL
yabba dabba
>>77945421
Well the mostly put them shows on Boomerang
>>77944870
There was the Scooby-Doo episode with the midget.
>>77945377
well at least uncle grandpa carries the tradition.
>>77944961
Race literally appeared in Venture Bros with his full name and everything
>>77946258
How ironic that UG is the most hated show on /co/.
>>77946329
People who hate UG have a stick up their ass. It's a goofy show whose audience is actually kids, as opposed to other shows which have become slaves to their obsessive internet adult fanbases.
>>77944792
>>77945309
Episode of what?
Adult Swim needs to go back to it's roots, plunge into the HB archives, and pull out another show. Space Ghost, Brak, Harvey Birdman, Sealab... So many staples of what made them, them.
>>77946686
Billy and Mandy
>>77946679
I feel bad for you
>>77946957
I feel bad for you too.
>>77946711
there's mike tyson mysteries. That's close enough, right?
>>77946711
That's exactly what TTgo is
>>77948593
>Characters become wacky parodies of themselves
This is just sad.
>>77945309
>Fred
you mean Jake Steel
>>77948412
Not exactly the same, but it is nice.
>>77944812
There is nothing more PC that a fucking Hannah Barbera cartoon
>>77946679
>it's low quality lolsorandum garbage but its for kids so that's okay!!!
>>77950943
>low quality
It really isn't
>lolsorandum
Meaningless buzzword. But it was okay when older cartoons did it.
>>77945474
Maybe being frozen for thousands of years damaged his brain.
>>77951056
Older cartoons like?
>>77946258
>>77948831
>>77948593
yeah but people cared about Teen Titans
Find someone that legit cares about the old Space Ghosts/Birdman/Sealab shows outside of 70 year old men
>>77954045
>70 year old men
make it 30
>>77952373
Cow & Chicken.
>>77955146
Not even. Nobody cares about old HB cartoons because almost all of them were unambiguously shit. HB was the low point for western animation.
>>77948593
Except Harvey Birdman, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, and Sealab 2021 are actually funny.
>>77954045
The only people who care about Teen Titans are a bunch of fucking faggot ass autistic weebs stuck in 2003.
End your life dude. Just fucking kill yourself and get it over with holy shit.
>>77944792
Because CN buy the entire H-B catalog years ago.
>>77955607
>Your average TTG fan.
>>77955823
Don't get me wrong, I hate TTG a lot. But it just so happens that I'm not a fucking weeb autist nostalgiafag as well.

Is that you, Barneyfag?
>>77955537
I watched them as a kid and wouldn't mind a remake but I think it is better if the industry focus on new ideas instead of going marvel/DC route.
>>77944870
Sjws will complain about anything.
>>77956244
>WB
Looney Toons have some legitimately racists cartoons though. Like, you can argue that racism is a non-issue today, but you can't fucking argue it wasn't 60 years ago.
>>77944961
Action Johnny is the name he took for himself when he did solo adventuring. Dr. Venture referred to his father as Dr. Quest.
>>77945421
I mean, sometimes it's best to let things die. Nothing about old Hanna-Barbera characters is really sacred.
>>77956271
Still anyone with half a brain knows that, and anyone with less than half a brain won't pay attention to a trigger warning. It purely exists to get sjws off their back.
>>77948593
Birdman was ridiculous in how every single episode featured Birdman getting bailed out by Avenger.
>>77948593
Space Ghost died in 68, brought back in 94, 26 years.
Birdman died in 69, brought back in 2000, 31 years.
SeaLab died in 72, brought back in 2000 too, 28 years.
Teen Titans died in 2006, brought back in 2013, 7 years.
I fully expect the upcoming Ben 10 show to be a parody of itself now.
>>77948938
I actually work with a jake steel and I always say his name like billy does during meetings. Not sure why they let a man child like me work.
>>77957312
sweet
>>77944792
Grim Adventures was the best at this. It's the best CN cartoon!
>>77946679
It seems to me that /co/ can't enjoy anything that doesn't have "feels" or lore nowadays.
>CN show getting a cameo from another CN show just because their voice actor is on hand
What would your reaction be if a CN cartoon referenced Space Ghost?
