I know the reason is that she is just a crazy person from an Earth similar to ours so she is running off meta-knowledge abuse, but I kind of miss how she was depicted as more solid and muscular on the one Cho parody cover. Felt more like a mercenary.

Marvel realized that they aren't making the Harley-crowd bucks as quickly as they had hoped, so they're trying to combine the nostalgic appeal of Gwen Stacy with the comedy stylings of Deadpool and an additional dash of trying to get the aforementioned Harley crowd.

Plus, if it all works out, Marvel may be able to argue in court that Gwenpool is a completely original character, and as such they are free to make as many movies with her as they wish.
