What do you think the Spider-Man costume will look like in Civil War? Here's a template, let's see your ideas, /co/
Whoops, sorry /co/ here is a larger template
They are going to go with a bare minimal look I think. At least until Tony makes him his Iron Spider suit
It'll be the exact same as them all.
I don't understand why there's a big thing over what his costume will look like. Feige said it will be classic Spidey.
>What do you think the Spider-Man costume will look like in Civil War?
There will be unnecessary texturing on the blue and red areas of it
it will be an overdesigned mess just like any other movie costume
This will probably be the worst incarnation of Spiderman to date. Sony was able to give is two good spidermen. I fear the mcu will destroy him.
Costume wise he will be shit, the mcu has had a horrible track record of following source material.
>no white lens
>bullet proof armor
>"realistic" boot design
>symbol lacks presence
this is as close to MCU-accurate as I could get in 5 minutes
Gotta give you that about Hawkeye since it's based on the Ultimate version.
But Ant-Man? nig you dense. He's literally Kamen Rider.
Hawkeye's an agent though, so it'd be hard to justify him running around with that purple mask. Ant-Man's costume actually looks good.
They can go all-out with Spidey like they have with IM and Cap because he's a camp hero.
>one of the best costumes
>generic black leather suit
Fuck off douchebag, you don't even like comic books
Yeah, he'll probably get some kind of cargo pants instead of the tights, since Cap didn't get his classic tights and got some loose tactical cargo pants
top won't be stretchy and will be (like cap's) a leather jacket looking top
fuck off, there is no reason leather can't work as a cape costume. Just because it's been done shitty before doesn't mean it doesn't work and in this case it worked.
Also, fuck you cause as a Pymfag somewhat of a Scott fan. I love the comics and Ant Man (only Pym and Scott, O'Grady has always pissed me off) has always improved them IMO. And I've always wanted Pym to go back to Ant Man more than constantly defaulting to Giant Man.
Most of the AOS cast
Batroc The Leaper
All more tacticool or edgier than their comic book counter parts
I don't actually mind this too much.
Don't get me wrong, Ditko's original Spider-suit is legendary, but it always felt out of place for a poor New City nerd.
It's especially clashing in the live action movies where he goes from dressing up in like a hoodie, to going full spandex over night with no real explanation
Reminder that we're getting the essential scalemail costume.
The reason why comic book characters look so unique is ONLY so they can be captured from an angle that only shows the tiniest fraction of them and the reader knows who it is. It's not cause these costumes are always good, it's so it's easy on the reader. Movies don't have that problem since you can hear the people and have dynamic shots. Most of these costumes would NOT work live action, they would steal the eye from the scene because, wow, the backgrounds are real and not coloured like the costumes!
Your list is pretty shitty anyway
First, who cares about Batroc, no one cares about him.
Black Panther looks fucking perfect. Are you complaining that he's not just black and grey as shading in the comics? Cause comic shading sucks so much shit sometimes. The zigzag lines are actually a way of making the movement blurry and darker, this is a type of camouflage the army worked up. When in movement it makes the object appear darker. It doesn't work in stills of course but it should on the screen.
I'm too tired to justify why the rest of your list is shit so I'll let others. Black Panther is your stupidest mistake, he would use tech to make his harder to see
I tried to make something vaguely like the classic costume, but "wrong" enough to make "true fans" angry.
i'm no drawfag but here it is, the spider-man /co/ wants
Nah, he's starting out with a shitty homemade suit, basically just a hoodie and mask with goggles. The normal Spider-Man costume with reflective lenses and web-shooters IS the Iron Spider suit in this, it's Tony's gift to him for joining the pro-reg side.
Ant-Man and Black Panther do look great in live action, better than in comic form imo, but they are examples of making a costume more contrived in the live action version and are a valid argument.
>I'm too tired to justify why the rest of your list is shit so I'll let others.
Don't be THAT dick, if you think I'm wrong about something call me out on it.
>making up your own bullshit story
>Don't be THAT dick, if you think I'm wrong about something call me out on it.
Hey, I just had a stressful month of having to move twice and I've been up for 36 hours and now getting drunk. I have a right to be tired.
But I'll go back to your list for a couple others.
Quicksilver - Shitty costume
Daredevil- movie had better mask, show has better suit. But still both screwed it up, lets hope season 2 replaces the mask
Whiplash-crossbones - never cared about
Yellowjacket - NOT PYM, if you had ANY argument it lost all it's effect there. The costume no longer had to be the flair of his ego. This costume was THE BEST in the MCU.
AoS - They are Tacticool cause they ARE SHIELD!
>They are Tacticool cause they ARE SHIELD!
Well then shouldn't they be wearing skin tight navy-blue rubber jumpsuits with white gloves and white belts and holsters and shit
Read comics, you shitty buttfuck
>AoS - They are Tacticool cause they ARE SHIELD!
I can give you that one but "I don't care about the characters" doesn't refute the argument that they do make character's costumes more contrived. And Yellowjacket is a great costume, I do actually enjoy most of the stuff the MCU designs but it doesn't make it any less supportive of my argument
Man, I fucking love you. If it had been for another person, he probably would say ''lol MARVEL suits fucking suck. Le Based Wilkinson. Based DC.''
I love your attitude man.
