The new voices are nice. Julith sounds like I expected.
Looks nice both in terms of art and animation, shame non-french speaking nations don't have a release in the making, at least not anytime in the foreseeable future.
Anyhow, I'm optimistic.
0:00 Narrator : In the magestic city of Bontar, Joris lives peaceful days with his adopted father.
0:05 Kerubim :Come on, kids, you can eat your breakfast.
0:11 Narrator : But the Dofus, legendary dragon eggs, spark all greed.
0:16 Bakara: Master Kerubim, the Ebony Dofus has been stolen!
(Kerubim goes Eeeeeeeeeh)
Julith is back, Kerubim
0:22 Kerubim : But then, Joris is in danger!
0:25 Bakara: She brought the Ebony Dofus.
Fortunately we have a mean to counter her, thanks to the Ivory Dofus.
0:33 Kerubim: I hided it over there, in my temple.
0:37 Julith: Childiness is over, Bakara.
0:40 Khan: Calm down, doll, you're going to hurt somebody.
0:46 Khan: I knew the current will pass between us.
0:49 Julith: Salutation, loyal Atcham. I have a mission for you. You'll tell Joris to sneak out.
0:55 Kerubim: It is time he learn the truth
1:10 Lilotte: We'd better give up.
1:11 Joris: Surely not.
1:17 Atcham: It's the moment of truth.
1:20 Narrator: The Dofus phenomenon, finally at the theater.
1:24 Khan: When all of that is done, we could maybe go take a drink, the both of us.
What a tigress..
Yeah, we had seem him in some promo stuff (cards, krosmaster figurine), his name is Marline and he's a gobbowl player, most likely Khan's rival.
I loved Joris vs. Atcham's scene, plus we could see him with yellow eyes during one frame, so something happened to him (Ivory Dofus?). We can even see him like that in his next Krosmaster figurine.
I wish he used his weapon from Wakfu instead of a sword, he's barely used it since then.
Name's Marline, a boufbowler.
Seems to be important enough to have made it into the next krosmaster base set.
What long horns for an osamodas, but I must note to difference in skin colour and that blue are wakfu Osas (though perhaps blue skin was possible in the dofus mmo as well). Either way, ankama consistency.
I kinda wished he was a sacrier.
To the anon who drew this upon request from a previous thread, I just want to say thanks.
I wish we'd get a cute drunken pandawa or slow-motion fighting xelor character to join the group in either dofus or wakfu. Sort of disappointing how they keep sticking to the same classes.
to be so pure again.
Not him but one can hope they have learnt their lesson. There were bigger problems than individual va's in some cases, though many were not that good. Ruel was shit through and through and no direction or sound mixing could possibly salvage him.
The rest, may have a chance.
>tfw Sean Schemmel, Steve Blum, Christopher Sabat, Kari Wahlgren, Cree Summer, Tara Strong, Spencer Grammer, Mark Hamill and Lee Cunningham will never combine their powers and make the most amazing Wakfu dub ever.
I want off this ride.
Well worth it. It starts off lighthearted and simple, but somewhere in the 20-30 episode range, it really picks up on all fronts. It's a fantastic show to watch in spurts of three episodes with a fine drink.
just rewatched the wakfu OVA again and ive been wondering,
the brohood of tofu collected all 6 eliatrope dofus, but yugo/ad, chibi/grougal, balthazar, qilby are all alive, so why are their dofus around?
unless im mistaken, grougal/chibi dofus disappeared when they were born, or does it reappear somewhere in the world as an empty shell for them to return to or soemthing?
I haven't seen all of Dofus, and I'm kind of new to the series, but whatever happened to Simone?
Spoiler but it's nothing too surprising.
In the last episode Simone quits her job to start a dating business with Julie in Bonta. After a farewell party and sad goodbyes, they just ride off to their new life together.
So now we have the movie cast, who else would you guy like to see in Season 4 of Krosmaster?
>Fountain guardian dude
>Harebourg's assistants (Freezz, Nileza, Klime, Sylargh)
>Wakfu Era Merkator
I had some time to spare, so I did a quick English sub of the trailer.
Who is this semen demon?
Who is this boner toner?
Who is this spunk monk?
Who is this cock dock?
Who is this erection ejection?
Who is this dick tick?
Who is this cum plum?
Who is this seed steed?
Who is this prick chick?
Who is this cock stock?
Who is this seminal sentinel?
Who is this phallus chalice?
Who is this anus ignoramus?
Who is this smegma enigma?
Who is this beef curtain hurtin?
Who is this cunt runt?
Who is this ballbiting ballerina?
Who is this dongle mongle?

Who is this scrotum sorceress?
Who is this wiener cleaner?
Who is this stiffy stimulator?
Who is this pillar pimper?
Who is this column culminator?
Who is this testicle tamer?
Just passing by... I haven't been around for months, and I have long forgotten my tripcode!
I was just a bit exited by the trailer. After all, we've been expecting this movie for years now.
Probably around the number of backers of the kickstarter.
Lorewise, they already are, but we still know naugh about eliotropes and Tot promised they will make sense after we see what he's got for them.
Gameplay wise, eliotropes are actually fun to play imo.
See I welcome trying to make something out of eliotropes since what they were/are isn't very good. But I think it might be an expansion of what is that won't remedy their current state rather than some reworking.
Yeah, at the end of the day they're no strangers to retcons but I just feel this might not be such a cxade. But as you say, it's up in the air what they're gonna do with the yugalos.
When i saw manga in the url i thought it was going to be the release date to wakfu tome 4.
This is cool, too. A bit surprised that season 2 didn't get a art book.
Ankama is never to be trusted sith their dates, but it's something at least. Although a year for 13 episodes is feasable since they made like an episode a month or something like that for season 1 iirc
I can understand why they stick with Iops. Sacrier skills are harder to translate into the shows. The Sacrier that Grougal fought was closer to the games than Kris Kras. And even then all we saw was the sac using attract and maybe punishment spam.
So did they remove Dofus from Netflix? I can't seem to watch it from Switzerland or France.
All sites indexing country specific flicks seem to have removed Dofus from their database.
Can someone check it?
I like it
>samurai jack is being rebooted
>guts is off the fucking boat
all we need is Wakfu tome 4 to complete the hiatus triumverate
those cheek-hugging bangs and dark blue lips are doing things to me.
Are their character designers wizards?
>Are their character designers wizards?
I would say yes.
Technically, wakfu manga has never been on hiatus. It's release schedule is just frustratingly slow (it's actually been little over a year since the last tome came out). I think we were all certain that season 3 wasn't going to happen.
So what do you guys actually call him?
Sadlygrove, grovy, tristepin. I was never a fan of pinpin
Iop fap dungeon by the looks of that smile.
If I'm not mistaken it won't be in the contest because the guy ran out of time. Saw him post about it on deviantart. But he's the main reason I expect some high-quality stuff later on.
>That nigga who isn't really a nigga
But seriously i hope they give everyone a redesign in season 3. I mean, i like eva's bodysuit and all but it's time for a change.
This is very cute. Makes me want a comfy Wakfu holiday special.
>that nigga who actually goes super saiyan in the OVAs
Everyone is older, so it'd look strange to have them all wearing the same things. Out of the whole cast I feel like Yugo neads a costume change desperately.. We already know from the released art that Amalia and Elely have new outfits.
He can't be using his old diaper as a tunic forever. But depending on situation I'd want more everyday and mundane clothing for some. Who walks around bare chested with a ripped shirt as a cape for prolonged time? Eva could get away with hers more in a way if she's still actually a companion, kind of doubt it tho and she could still use a new outfit anyway, though perhaps not everyday villager clothes, because it's nice.
I'm curious about how she'll be in the movie, if she'll turn out a third wheel or not. But I reckon serving as a character Joris can interact with that is in the same situation of (I presume at least) not knowing what's going on is a good enough purpose she could fullfill. There's always general awesomeness to fall back on.
I was thinking the exact same thing earlier, minus puppy girl. Is this really just going to be a copypaste of the Brotherhood's character dynamics?
>Is this really just going to be a copypaste of the Brotherhood's character dynamics?
I feel we should have a bit more faith in ankama but i wouldn't be totally surprised if turned out that way. Also, i think bakara is a hybrid of Eva and Amalia.
Well consider that bakara and kerubim seems to be more in the know of what's going on which neither Eva or Ruel did so that could lend to different behaviour, and Kerubim probably won't be as carefree as ruel at times. Some more or less skin deep similarities in group roles and dynamics are bound to happen because, you know that's how groups work.
Doubt it. Kerub doesn't seem that involved in the movie judging from the trailers, and to be honest I expect him to either die or be too seriously injured to do much. As for the rest, I'm not sure they're going to be together all the time. We've seen several scenes where Lilotte doesn't seem to be around, and a few where Bakara seems to fight Julith while Joris isn't around. It could be a split-focus movie.
Yeah, to me Kerub is dead cat meat.
We know him and Atcham reincarnate at some point to be adopted and raised by Joris, so chances are they wouldn't let such an important event happen off screen. In the new trailer, we hear Kerub's weak voice whispering as if on his death bed. We don't see him much besides city scenes and one action scene at his shop. His armor seems intact, while in the OVAs, we can see it with a hole in the chest area. Finally we know from the Krosmaster spoilers and some of the trailer's shots that Joris is emotionally triggered to go berzerk at some point.
Split focus sounds reasonable from those instances.
I'll have to agree with this, we might be looking at an end where no one gets to be really happy like s1, but with a different execution.
Wait, so if Kerub is a demigod and able to reincarnate after death, then could Grovy do something similar being an actual god if he died?
While I can certainly see some interaction as a group it would be preferable to not have a group in the same vein as BoT imo, makes for a better Joris adventure where he is the star and the rest supporting cast.
Didn't you watch the OVAs?
wakfu/dofus and new samurai jack are basically the only reason im back on /co/, anyone else?
Wakfu is the only reason I come here.
the template is great
good to know, wasn't sure
>We've got to have another one of these ginger dimwits trying to get with a blonde?
Which makes me wonder what the world of twelve equivalent of /pol/ is like.
Do they rant about pure craryan women racemixing with filthy ginger subhumans ? Do they blame it on the enutrof merchants ?
Wakfu male Huppermage's design from the designer's twitter (NoNameNoSocks)
So what, the god Iop just watched his followers always romancing intelligence cra-ish chicks and was like "Yeah I gotta get me some of that" and that's why he gave up his godhood
> look outside
> no snow
Djaul did nothing wrong when stopping harebourg and jiva, NOTHING.
I was going to say you could say something similar for iops or sacriers but yeah that particular hairstyle reminds me of cras. Either way the rest of the aesthetics is their defining trait though I would have wanted their cute earmuffs as well to set them apart.
Why is Amalia always so pretty?
Yeah it's a shame the don't all wear those.
I'm hoping that in S3 grovy will bulk up a little, eventually returning to full Space Marine mode like he used to be.
>tfw we will never get a cute drossel-like xelor girl in the main cast for fun slow-motion antics
I always thought he gave up his godhood because he realized after fucking saddida's realdoll that he had a benis problem.
>I always thought he gave up his godhood because he realized after fucking saddida's realdoll that he had a benis problem.
Well, in a way, that is what happened. But he was made to realize it the hard way.
This is his son.
This is the final poster that will be used for advertising according to the movie's blog.
Good thing they sealed it away with pubic hair and some other shit. I seem to recall that was the time it was revealed that ecaflip and eniripsa can divine the future.
Djaul, bringer of white winters, jiva, bringer of horrible ideas and slush. Who is the real villain?
Calling it now. They all fail at saving the world, Lu shows up in the last 10 seconds to save the day
Everyone's immortal now! What are you complaining about?
No anon, only the cool characters that ankama likes are immortal.
I would feel a little gyped, especially if we don't get an explanation for her disappearance unless that's supposed to be ambiguous or unexplained.
>“Because Frigost, the ice continent, is plagued by Bontarian vermin since Count Harebourg strayed into debauchery with the ignoble Jiva; I, Djaul, servant of the Demon Lord Rushu, condemn all living beings on Frigost to forever relive the month of Descendre. This is the law of Rushu, effective here and now.
PS: Let no one oppose the law, under penalty of collective punishment: we deport the crafty. They will be condemned to listen to music from Brutney Spirz for eternity. We shall eviscerate Enutrofs of Astru; we will feed their guts to their Bow Meows, then we’ll disembowel, chop and sell them as swill in the Sales Hotels of the above named city.
PPS: As for the traitors, they will be beheaded, starting with the feet.”
Truly Djaul is the worst guardian
>Frigost's time is frozen whereas as everywhere else time flies by
>Time would catch up with any Frigost inhabitant that would leave Frigost
>Sylargh leaves with Harebourg in an airship to Wabbit Island
>Sylargh is fine.
> kid has no pants
Well they're not abusing their kids but damn can they not make some pants out of wood, leaves or something? Sadida child care institutions should take a look at this.
I'd be more shocked if she had panties
Wakfu, Samurai Jack, and The Outsider comic posted 3 times in a week.
The world is truly ending.
From what I gather Pinpin was one of the most popular characters among their primary audience (Frenchies) and I think Ankama have a soft spot for Iops as they were one of the first 3 classes they created for the Dofus MMO, also being very popular within the MMO during its heyday, so it's not all that surprising but I agree it would've been nice for us to see a new class
We do have that with the Huppermage, Bakara, but still
So are we just the minority or are there some mainstream fans that complain about it, too?
I don't have a problem with iops and I like Grovy, but it does get silly and kind of dull. Like did they like it when naruto got heavily focused on Sasuke and the uchiha clan?
It's true, I hope they don't cast the interaction between Bakara and the new Iop as that of Eva and Pinpin
>Goofy musclehead with a good heart tries seemingly in vain to win over the more reserved, apparently uninterested girl
>Over time she succumbs to his charm and begins to see him as the noble man he truly is, and comes to love the features that initially annoyed her
Pinpin seems pretty popular all around, although I do think a lot of people consider the OVAs as having taken the focus on him too far
I kind of regret watching the OVAs before someone uploaded them as BD.
Iop's, boy or girl just don't give a fuck. In the promo art for S3 we see Elely walking through the snow barefoot completely comfortable.
Indie's adopted granddaughter, Lilotte.
The upcoming movie implies otherwise don't you think? And being ecaflic is one of the wilder and as far as I know unfounded theories.
>croissant, bagguette, Moulin Rouge, saison
Confirmed for 100% authentic French
Either way, even if they make a surprise out of it it's a bit into the future. But as of now it's not even on the map.
It's premiering in 3 months, if there were any solid plans for it in the reasonably close future we'd have known. Do they want to? Maybe, but it sure doesn't seem like a cinema release is planned anytime soon.
I've been watching the shit out of Dofus, but I can't seem to find much info about it or Wakfu besides what I see on wikipedia. I haven't watched any Wakfu yet. I want to get everything right, so correct me where I'm wrong.
I have it understood that Dofus takes place a long time before Wakfu. Dofus is a spinoff of Wakfu, which is based on the MMO. Dofus is a complete spinoff, which as no connection to Wakfu. Dofus is also more cartoony/silly in comparison to Wakfu. Wakfu is 100% complete, while Dofus is still in development.
Is that all correct?
>sexualising the pupper
Anon what are you doing? She's for cutes goddamit, not lewds!
I loved the music during that scene. Reminds me of Kamen Rider.
You have it a bit backwards.
Dofus MMO was the first game Ankama made.
Wakfu MMO was sort of a sequel that came out many years later.
The Wakfu show was the first animation series Ankama did, which aired around the same time as the Wakfu MMO alpha/beta.
The Dofus animated series was made after the Wakfu animated series.
Dofus, both the MMO and the series, take place around 800 years before Wakfu.
- Dofus MMO
- Wakfu MMO
- Wakfu series seasons 1-2 and some of the specials
- Dofus series
- Wakfu OVAs
Then 2016 brings us the Dofus movie and if I'm not completely wrong, the 3rd season of Wakfu.
And yeah, technically the Dofus series is a silly, episodic spin-off, but they belong in the same universe and you will see some Dofus characters in Wakfu too.
>Dofus takes place a long time before Wakfu.
>Dofus is a spinoff of Wakfu, which is based on the MMO.
Dofus cartoon is a spinoff of the Dofus MMO. Wakfu is a spinoff of the Wakfu MMO. All are set in the same world
>Dofus is a complete spinoff, which has no connection to Wakfu.
Yes, though there are some loose lore connections between the two.
>Dofus is also more cartoony/silly in comparison to Wakfu.
>Wakfu is 100% complete, while Dofus is still in development.
Ankama have indicated they're intending to create another season of Wakfu and several Dofus movies.
>Plays the single player thing in Krosmaster Arena 3D
>MFW Enemies constantly crit every fucking time
It's technically aimed at a younger audience, but I'd say the type of childishness is different, more of a lighthearted Saturday morning thing with French humour. It doesn't take itself nearly as seriously as Wakfu does.
Respectively 397 and 634 apparently. Welp, I guess they changed it at some point. Years ago there were meant to be 1000-ish years between the MMOs with Kerubim's being closer to Wakfu than Dofus by a few centuries.
Yeah, older materials used to say Dofus and Wakfu were a thousand years apart. Things have gotten more precisely defined by now, but the 1,000 has taken root in a lot of people's minds.
If you consider the beginning of each era, 789 years is reasonably close to a millenia. But neither Dofus nor Wakfu (both MMO and series) take place at the beginning of their respective eras, so the time between each is much less.
I don't need even more kid protagonists. Especially now that Tot's finally free to age up the cast.
Yes. You can also read the tl;dr of the news about it here:
I haven't seen Wakfu yet, but that skeleton strikes an uncanny resemblance to the one from the fanmade Mystery Skulls music video.
I just want Yugo to age up a LITTLE BIT, is that too much to ask?
I haven't touched either game in 5 years now, how's the playerbase of Dofus these days? He sounds like they're dealing with more salt than usual.
Could be a reference to Ghostrider all the same. Floaty flaming skulls aren't really a new thing.
Your face when suddenly he's taller, super ripped and goes topless everywhere touching girls' butts through portals?
I've never played the games more than to try them out, but in my limited experience the French forums have always been very... critical of Ankama. And it's often justified, I'll say, although they could indeed be more tactful about their complaints. But what can you expect from a playerbase largely composed of teenagers that are genuinely angry when Ankama releases something that is not related to the MMO and/or isn't free?
Doesn't sound much different from when I did play then, which was 10 to 5 years ago, before they had much to complain about regarding cross-platform media. I've never seen the official forum (English) not be a festering slurry pit.
That being said, they did have a habit of overhauling classes and core game concepts roughly every 12 months, while their act of class balancing typically only ensured a different class got the upper hand for the next few months. A free spell- and characteristics reset is meager reassurance when you get to replace all of your equipment because your build suddenly becomes obsolete - repeatedly.
Well, at least it kept people busy.
And they're still not as bad as teh spanish fanbase.
While the game was translated to spanish, we got our own free incomplete server during half a year. This was 7 years ago, and people are still complaining that they want the game to be free again.
What's more, when the game turned 2.0 they were so fucking nostalgic of 1.29 Ankama made a special 1.29 server just for he spanish community. And even then, they complained they weren't getting the new stuff from 2.0.
Still haven't tried it, but from what I've read:
-They don't use Wakfu, instead they have BQ ("Brise Quadramentale", like mana). When their BQ is full, they enter "Heart of fire" mode, cancels any BQ gain or loss, rises damage by 20%, lowers the cost of some light spells and decreases your BQ by 25% every turn (so it lasts 4 turns maximum).
And yes, you read right, LIGHT spells. Not only does the huppermage have access to the four normal elements (air, water, fire and earth), it has a FIFTH element. To be precise, it has 3 spells of each normal element (12 in total), and 8 light spells. So, if a normal class has 15 elementary spells, huppermages have 20. Also, light spells consume BQ when used.
The spells of the normal element also create "runes". These runes are consummed when a light spell is used, giving an effect (+1 PO, +10 Parade (don't know the english word), -10% BQ consumption in light spells, +5%Critical Hits).
They also have 5 class spells and 10 passive skills as the other classes, but I'll have to try it to see what they do. For now, it looks way more interesting than its Dofus counterpart.
Yes, Tot just finished writing the script of the last episode and it should be aired at the end of 2016 (but we know how Ankama is with time management). It'll be 13 episodes, 26 minutes each, maybe more episodes if it's successful.
A 3rd season was quite likely with Adamaï leaving and all that though.
Jesus fucking Christ.
You motherfuckers did NOT just make reinstalling Wakfu pop into my head.
REEEEEE MY WINTER BREEEEEAK
This smells of dark vlad to me.
They put a Futurama reference in S1. What are the odds we get a Rick and Morty reference in S3?
There's certainly better things to meet during your day unless you want your ass on a pike.
Neither does that thing have to be, but take it for what it is. Wild speculations.
I still see people complaining about how everything was better in 1.29 in the French community as well.
Goultard seems to be pretty chill about him.
Well, we also got premium until march, loads of stuff from the boutique and the they're giving back the items (although they're taking their time because they really fucked up hard).
But yeah, they can complain about that, thank god I barely played this summer, but Dofus players really can't complain, we used to have the best CM ever and abused it. As soon as he left Ankama we stopped getting that many privileges.
That's a bit exaggerated, agility sacriers wiped the floor and srams had a ton of survivability in pvm as well. But back then Iops never had any significant overhauls or nerfs (besides Wrath, but it was still OP) though.
I swear if the english comics don't come out at the 16'th I'm gonna one man riot.
Huh, I had not noticed this (I did see the Krosmaster figurine).
Also I initially didn't pay much attention and assumed that was either the Ivory Dofus or a bag, but this fluffy white thing moves its head during the last three frames.
Could be I guess, Lilotte seems to be setting up for a round of kick the baby there.
It's going to be really weird to either watch this in a theater first or have to wait months to get a digital copy, after being used to same-day TV rips for everything else.
Also, not being able to take screencaps for a while.
I hope the UK community is big enough for us to get the movie, can't remember the last time I watched something in the cinema
I remember and it was offputting, it was httyd. Mainly due to the other viewers consisting of a large amount of kids that chattered and made noises, which goes for adults/teens as well.
Now that I've gotten a projector I don't see myself going to the cinema unless it's social in nature. Because nothing ruins the cinema like other people.
>Look up Amalia figure for this game for cloest thing to collectible figurine of her.
>"YOU WAN BUY PRANT?!"
>>Look up Amalia figure for this game for cloest thing to collectible figurine of her.
I just looked on the website and she doesn't. You were probably thinking of the other Female Sadida character in the game.
I've always thought that "toy" looked kinda dumb.
Yeah both girls look pretty lame to me. Ruel is pretty badass though.
Actually that's becuase Kerubim is the son of Ecaflip and thus reincarnates, and it's likely Joris raised him after Kerubim died and was reborn
Yeah, Ruel looks perfect imo. I also wish Nox was the right color as well.
I don't ship them, but I'll admit this is very cute.
>Look up Kabrok
>TFW you can't bro team him with Harebourg because Kabrok is now labeled as a boss
Out of all the new races Ankama pulls out of their collective assess, the Bakara or whichever are the ones with the ears are the most interesting.
Do you think they can retcon them into Wakfu or something?
The race is called the Huppermages, Bakara is just one of them which features in the Dofus movie
They're not that hard to incorporate lore-wise, they're just magicians who studied hard and found out how to do some cool shit with light as well as the four elements
Last kids movie I saw in the theater was Lego Movie. Wasn't distracting at all. Then again in reflection there were more adults.
Including my ex. Who I cared about.
>Out of all the new races Ankama pulls out of their collective assess, the Bakara or whichever are the ones with the ears are the most interesting.
It's not a race, it's a class.
>Do you think they can retcon them into Wakfu or something?
They already did, as with every class they release.
>rick uses portals
>rick is obnoxious
>similar to the dimensional voyagers
>rick has a pasty blue-white color scheme
GUYS HE'S AN ELIOTROPE
Perfect. You beat me to it.
>summer is Amalia
God I hope we see her more in S3. We need more foggernaughts in general.
>Jerry and Beth are fucking Grovy and Eva
Oh my god. It's confirmed.
There's never enough Frida
I'm serious we need more.
When I get there, I'll put an extra emphasis on screenshots of her for you.
>tfw could have been done 2 months ago but got sidetracked
>Phaeris is Birdperson
I can't handle this
Why do people keep thinking the Huppermage's headpiece are ears? Huppermages don't have the appearance of any god, they're either humans or used to follow a certain deity so they don't look special. The boys don't even wear the headpiece.
Also, Xa said it feels like a nun's veil.
Is there a chance it won't be shit like those Wakfu OVAs?
>tfw you should've put effort into learning french years ago
>tfw it'll be years before we get subs
Are you me?
Bought the BoT set a year ago, just for the figures, and today I have a full collection and participated in the national championship a week ago. Game's addicting and fun, and the figurines are super cute.
Will you please say sweet french nothing so I can imagine that you whisper it into my ear?
