Well this was pretty meh.
Matt seemingly OMDing is fucking lame, and Foggy being a dick about it is even worse.

After the previous series with fun and positive Matt this one looks boring and needlessly gritty and dark, as if the story was taken from the late 90's or early 2000's archives. You could have a good story set in the dark tones like Frank's DD but this feels just, I dunno, lifeless and contradicting previous storyarcs. Aw, Marvel, what a great way to ruin another character.

I don't know how I feel about Matt pulling a OMD. I guess it is the only way to get him back into New York law.

But Foggy being a dick is just retarded, especially after all the shit Matt pulled to take care of him recently.

I just hope the Prosecutor angle brings some good stories. And more Blindspot focus would be nice.

Daredevil does not need a sidekick. Don't care for the art. Or the approach.

So I guess I'll wait for the next relaunch.

I think the main problem of this is that comes right after Waid's FunDevil.

Too much of a difference in tone, without any explanation, to boot(yet)


By itself, it has two really interesting ideas: Blindspot as Matt's sidekick and Matt as District Attorney. And the first issue works well.

But it's just TOO much different from Waid's run.

Why do they change stupid things like that for the people who watch the MCU?!? I mean, they know they don't read the comics, right? Why does this get me so mad?

In light of comments made during the Ringside storytime, I'll just say that I think everyone's acting appropriately shitty, due to the fallout of the last run. It's just not interesting, that's all.

I'm not wild about Matt as a prosecutor but it's cool to see his edgier side again.

And this art is really doing it for me. I love the coloring and use of shadow. Very moody.

Why do artists/writers always seem to pee on the previous runners work? This issue has almost nothing from the last issue. Is it really that hard to build from a previous runner's work. Like the very least, make Foggy still recovering instead of making him chunky and a cranky mess. Make it that people know that Murdock is Daredevil. Or get an artist that is similar to the last one. It feels like Wonder Woman from Azz to Finch all over again.

Writing is kind of shaky but the art and coloring are absolutely phenomenal. It reminds me of the Bendis Golden Age arc.
