I always assumed the long hair was meant to look bad on purpose.
this reaction pic sums up Hal pretty well
>IDK why this run gets so much hate
It started off doing a lot of things people didn't like, like killing all the Blues, turning Carol back into a cunt, and the reservoir stuff, although now it looks like they're going back on the reservoir at least
and personally I am not that enamored that up until the Renegade stuff he's spent a big chunk of his run showing what an embarrassingly bad leader Hal is with almost no actual victories under his belt, driving away all his friendships/relationships, ruining his life on earth, etc. basically just a nonstop chain of misery for like 30 issues straight with no end in sight
I think it's been a better read since Godhead or so but I'm still rarely that excited to pick up an issue. although now I'm really interested in seeing what Parallax is up to at least
> that suit
> that 'Parallax' font
> that green energy around hand
>IDK why this run gets so much hate
Maybe because is started off pretty bad and the constant shit crossovers didn't help?
But yeah, it did get better when Venditti literally couldn't crossover with anything if he wanted too.
STOP FUCKING PUTTING HIM IN LITERALLY EVERYTHING
Maybe Hal will get along better with Jim than Bruce
Or maybe he'll just depressed that he thinks Bruce is dead
why don't they lay off the bat overload, take the hit to sales and let the other series improve on their own?
They seem stuck in a 'only sells because batman is in it, therefore make more batman, repeat to infinity".
It's the "Dead Parents Syndrome"(Batman and Spiderman are the most famous cases): the superhero takes volountarily the blame for everything bad that happens around him, even if he has not real faults
Sinestro has his own corps now, and there's the sapphires, indigos, reds, Larfleeze, and Saint Walker
How much more can you increase something that's already approaching infinite?
The Indigos aren't all dead, Indigo-1 is still around at the very least
And he'd only be aware of Carol as the villainous Star Sapphire, them having their own corps and her being in control of herself is new
So beautiful. I missed you, Pretty Hal.
Oh shit, how many people are trying to replace the GLC now? Sinestro, Parallax Hal, the gray agents?
This upsets me and I hope he is not actually dead.
He KO'ed superman with one punch, ONE. PUNCH.
Sinestro and Hal are in for the ride of their lives, hopefully they will keep this parallax as he was back then, the "it's time to change things for good" Hal and not just a mere villain.
One good story, that's all I ask.
As >>77868783 pointed out he one-punched Superman and then did stuff like almost recreating the multiverse, and casually strolling into heaven and resurrecting the dead
Parallax is OP as hell, especially if they're going by his pre-retcon power level
That would be a terrible idea to pull.
Of course, with how much Venditti seems to hate everything that Johns' established, it would fit perfectly for him to retcon the retcon that started all that Johns' built.
Let's say, for the sake of the argument, that this theory is true, could Parallax Hal absorb the Parallax Entity( who cannot exactly defend himself in this moment thanks to Sinestro) to become even more powerful?
And if that happens who can stop him?
>could Parallax Hal absorb the Parallax Entity( who cannot exactly defend himself in this moment thanks to Sinestro) to become even more powerful?
Fearbug Parallax is pretty powerful, so I'd assume so, especially if he was fabricated by Hal all along
>And if that happens who can stop him?
I'm sure his shitty excuses for friends would be happy to gang up and punch him in the face until he felt like killing himself again
