ITT: Times /co/ tricked you into watching shit.

>pic related

I made it to season 2 of LOK before dropping that, then I'm told TLA is vastly superior but only got several episodes through before wanting to rip my eyes out.
>>
It's such a beautiful day.

Overrated as hell.
>>
>>77808594
you shouldve ripped your eyes out, then we wouldnt have to deal with you posting here.
>>
>>77808614
How old are you?
>>
>>77808594
I was in elementary school when AtLA was airing, so I enjoyed the hell out of it.

It's not as great as nostalgiafags would have you believe, though.
>>
>>77808594
Guess people have different tastes huh?

Why do you people post this? If the posts you're replying to really are "bait," then why do you fall for it and bump the thread? Seriously, what's the point of posting this image?
>>
>>77808665
>>77808733
I didn't say I didn't like it. But /co/ greatly over-exaggerates how good it is.
>>
>>77808614
This, I don't get why /co/ jerks off to this so much.
>>
I just finished my run of that yesterday. I watched the first 13 eps on TV but got my cable cut. I decided to give it a go and I was surprised at how decent it was. The action and the humor was neatly balanced, the characters had some charm to them, some more than others and the animation was very good. One of my fears was that due to being on Nick, it wouldn't be able to see its full potential, but it seemed it to come out alright.

I don't intend on watching Korra, though.
>>
Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Wakfu.
>>
>>77808796
Hot damn, why are you so fucking new?
>>
>>77808594
I watched it as it aired and still don't understand the hype. It was alright. But nowhere near the pinnacle of western animation that people make it out to be. It was pretty forgettable to me.
>>
>watched a couple episodes
>IT'S SHIT

I hate everyone who does this
>>
>>77808857
Korra's not as good as TLA, but I would recommend giving it a shot.
>>
>>77808908
A small step above those fags that bases an entire series on the pilot, but that's not saying much
>>
>>77808900
How new are you? Those images are the most dismissive bullshit, and posting them might as well qualify as shitposting. Take that Shir to /b/ you fucking idiot.
>>
>>77808919
Don't listen to this poster
everything that was shit in A:TLA is basically what LOK was constructed out of
>>
>>77808919
Well, you have shit taste.
>>
>>77808970
Ignore this man, Korra is a fabulous show. Might even be better than TLA if you're not nostalgia blind.
>>
>>77808970
Unfunny humor, love triangles, annoying characters and filler? Noted.

Though I probably need to watch it and form my own opinion.
>>
>>77808908

Sorry, but if it doesn't become watchable 3 hours in then it gets dropped.
>>
>>77808594
at least you got out 2 seasons before i did
i defended the shit out of korra and genuinely enjoyed it despite a few hiccups, right up til that last 5 seconds. jesus.. it was so glorious.. varrick and zhu li.. why couldn't it just have ended then? why couldn't I have just died

You really got me with those hot arguments and that 12 year old girl mentality of "it's not okay to dislike something I like, fuck you!"

I might go and watch 3 and 4. I dropped during 2 and seems that's the most hated so hopefully it gets better after that.

>that last 5 seconds

Is it really that bad?
>>
>>77808846

There's really nothing else matching it's scope, quality and level of completeness in television animation. Gravity Falls might be the closest thing.
>>
>>77808885
Even though I liked Wakfu, I understand what you mean.

This is what happens when muricans try to do anime.

Muricans should stick to their garbage shit like pic related

>>

Tight tight hella tight.
>>
>>77808614
I loved it after I watched it the first time. Watched it a second time like 6 months later and found it kind of boring and not as sad as it was initially. It's worth watching, but I agree that /co/ overrates it.

I actually think most things that /co/ recommends are pretty great. I liked Fantastic Planet, American Pop, Waltz with Bashir, and plenty of other great movies that I only found out about because of /co/. Sure these aren't mentioned often, but when they are, they're usually spoken of very highly.
>>
>>77811100
Also, I love that /co/ pointed out that 4 hour Walt Disney documentary that PBS put out like 2 or 3 months ago. It was very interesting and the only way I would've seen it. I think it's probably still free on their website.
>>
>>77809492
Seasons 3 and 4 of Korra are way better than 1 and 2.

No.
