ITT: Post episodes that can be considered to be in the top 25 alltime episodes of southpark.
Every twist is funnier than the last, the narration, the everything. Oh my god, It's just brilliant.
Is the story of Job told differently in the Jewish religion? I was raised Christian, and I remember God rewarded Job for keeping his faith after his trials by doubling his wealth.
>I was raised Christian
No wonder you don't know much
I bet you didn't even know muslims believe in Jesus, and that your own holy book says you shouldn't get tattoos, eat shellfish, or wear mixed fabrics.
All About Mormons is one of the funniest episodes, and has one of the best messages, so I go with that one.
They are read it out, and I don't think they perverted it in any way for satire.
It's really a story that panders to confirmation bias. If you have your faith, it will reenforce you, but if you don't it will make you think "Holy shit, their god is a cunt. Why would anyone worship him?"
There are so many episodes that are so good that they basically just pulled out of their ass at the last minute from scraps of an idea, including Cartmanland and Critter Christmas, that it really makes me start to think that Hollywood overthinks everything and the system of passing it through a hundred different people over a year is why we end up with trash like we do these days.
Pro tip: you are on the absolute worst website to avoid baseless assumptions about you, your beliefs, and sexual orientation, AND the worst website to learn anything remotely true about the Jewish faith.
The Imaginationland Trilogy is the defining work of the 2000s, and I'll fight anybody that disagrees.
Also, runner ups include Tonsil Trouble and You're Getting Old
Chinpokomon is the GOAT.
This was pretty great,
Was this the episode that gave South Park enough popularity to start its downhill into a mainstream show?
>tfw the Tweek x Craig plot WILL NEVER be Kyle x Cartman
>there is an alternate universe where they decided to make it Kyle x Cartman instead
>ILL NEVER LIVE IN IT
WE WERE SO CLOSE
That, and its the principle of the thing. It's just that instead of taking a pound of Kyle's flesh, he tried to give Kyle 5 ounces of his own.
I don't see how overexposure ruins the work itself.
If you think Imaginationland isn't all that great, that's your opinion - but honestly, the 2000s weren't all that great, either. And I think that trilogy is the best concentrated example of popular story trends of the time, whether it's great or not.
I'll still fight you, though.
>implying Nazi/PharaohxJew art isn't the best kind
Most folks who know their shit (Jews usually do, along with mainline Christians who actually take time to study the Bible) know it's not to be taken literally and it's actually an ancient, near east fable that probably predates Judaism.
Faith +1 is great. Subplots a little weak though, after the "Ghost of Christmas past" bit it kind of fizzles out. Still how can you not love
>I wanna get down on my knees and start pleasin' Jesus, I wanna feel his salvation all over my face!
>Grow up in an evangelical household
>Always went to retreats Christian rock bands
>This episode airs right in the middle of it
>Something always felt off about them
>This episode airs
Light bulb went off in my pubescent brain. Still one of my all time favorites.
>there are people out there RIGHT NOW that don't like Kyman
What a bunch of fucking faggots
Make love not warcraft is my personal number 1.
Though you might have to have played WoW it really appreciate it, but I'm sure it holds up even to people who have never played it.
An implied sexual relationship between a Neo Nazi and jew isn't kosher you shitlord!!! It's a reference to all the horrible rape that happened during Auchwitz and it's problematic as hell man.
The fact that "Child Abduction Is Not Funny" hasn't been posted triggers me
>Humiliation, to prove his superiority, show dominance
That about sums it up, When he has Kyle's $20 and Kyle finally tells Cartman he was right all along and deserves the 20 he gets super pissed then tells Kyle to fuck off, The moment of "haha Im better: is immediately thwarted while other times it is just about humiliating Kyle so an apology gets him hard.
My top 25:
Tweek vs Craig
Butter's Very Own Episode
The Death of Eric Cartman
Ike's Wee Wee
Cartman Joins NAMBLA
Simpsons Already Did It
Woodland Critter Christmas
Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers
Helen Keller! The Musical
It's Christmas in Canada
Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus
Lil' Crime Stoppers
The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers
You're joking right m8? Stan and Kyle are barely even close anymore in the newer seasons. It would be Kyle x Cartman if anything.
Cartman would get his ass kicked by almost anyone (other than that midget kek). He has always been the biggest wimp when a fight actually goes down.
Tonsil Trouble and Cartman Finds Love are the best f a m
my mind says no, but my dick says yes
>Goth Kids 3
What in the actual fuck?
I'm OP and you didn't put me in no or yes?
Is it because it's decent enough it could fall into a top 25 if someone likes it but its a subjective viewpoint where it isn't actually a yes?
>Butters' Very Own Episode
>Death Camp of Tolerance
>The Simpsons Already Did It
These are all in the top 25. Prove me wrong. You can't.
>possibly the most heartwarming episode of South Park ever
It's up there.
Kenny has gotten some serious heartwarming or poignant moments in the past few years too though.
Dumb parodies based on shitty movies from the 80s, or TV shows from even earlier make for the best episodes
Planetarium/Star Trek one and the Korn/Scooby Doo parody prove this
I guess it was kind of heartwarming but it was also pretty messed up. Everyone's joy was based on the humiliation and suffering of Tweek and Craig.
It also ended with Cartman jerking off to fantasies of raping himself, which is pretty much the exact opposite of heartwarming.
>Pip (Great Expectations)
>All About Mormons
>Good Times with Weapons
>Woodland Critter Christmas
>Make Love Not Warcraft
>You're Getting Old + Assburgers
>It also ended with Cartman jerking off to fantasies of raping himself, which is pretty much the exact opposite of heartwarming.
Speak for yourself.
That's why their love is so pure you nigger.
It's not really 10/10, but I got a massive kick out of Boogers and Cum in You're Not Yelping.
HOW'S THAT QUEEFY QUARTER-POUNDER
