Why do Pixar and Disney hate this movie so much? It like never ever gets acknowledged.
fuck them I love it
I have no idea either, OP. It has one of my favorite villain moments in animation ever.

It was wedged between Toy Story and Toy Story 2. It's massively overshadowed.
As someone who likes the movie, how am I suppose to feel when people rate The Good Dinosaur as a low-tier Pixar film on par with A Bugs Life? Does that mean I should DEFINITELY see it?
Bugs aren't marketable I guess.
Don't they have an area in Animal Kingdom?

Bug's Life is considered mid-tier Pixar. Low-tier is more like Cars and Brave.Cars 2 is exiled from Pixar canon tier.

Watched it just yesterday.
Cars 2 and Monsters University were the only two Pixar movies I hadn't watched, so I viewed them both back to back.
MU was almost good enough to make me forget Cars 2.
What the fuck were Pixar thinking?
John Lassetter loves A Bug's Life, so does everybody who worked on it. It just doesn't sell toys or resonate with audiences like their other movies so it's not brought up as much.

Cars is Lasseters baby. Pretty much everything about it was done by him so it makes sense he loves it so much.
