>Follow the yellow brick road my fanny...
It's been three years since the twister from over the rainbow plucked Dorothy Gale from Kansas, leading to a fateful accident that killed the Wicked Witch of the East and made her legend.
Adorned with ruby pistols and spurs, Dorothy has still not found the Emerald City.
Plundered by thieves, the Yellow Brick Road is no more.
In the quest to find the Wizard of Oz, this gun-toting cowgirl refuses to admit defeat.
This is Tom Hutchison's & Alisson Borges' - The Legend of Oz: The Wicked West.
Thanks OP, I'm a sucker for reimaginings and westerns.

Anytime, pilgrim.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand now I have to go replay Wild Arms 3.
>I've already ridden a twister straight into the rainbow and didn't fall off. This should be easy.
>Weird West Wizard of Oz
Okay, I'll give it a shot. I just hope it doesn't get too grim and gritty - that'd just miss the whole point of Baum's work.
>Big Dog Ink is bought by Aspen
>start reprinting Legend of Oz

The fact they lose their cowboy hats is a sin against awesome apes everywhere.

Indubitably.

I just don't understand
Like, are they gonna keep this up? Just go right into the ongoing and reprint it one issue at a time?
It's not like it's got enough readers to support that.

Big Dog is essentially bankrupt. Oz is their golden goose so it's borderline hiatus.
>Through forest dense and filled with hate, you must move fast, you must not wait!

Sad, but not surprising.
When I was working at my LCS like two years ago, they called us to talk to us about whether we were carrying their books and what they could do to have us pick up more.
And while we'd tried them all and one guy pulled Shaharazad, the only one we stocked was Oz. And even that only got a few shelf copies.
So BDI was clearly desperate.

Fuckin really?
I guess the reprints have a new backup? So at least there's that.

You gotta take the word of an Anon, but yeah.
By the way, thanks for the thread OP.
One of these got me into the book back when the mini first wrapped up.
