Don't screw up the OP.
I want a boxset with seasons 1 and 2 being journals 1 and 2 and journal 3 being the actual journal 3 replica :(
It was too much of us to expect Mabel doing some character growth herself in a canon setting
>This is also a reminder the only time Mabel actually managed to do something heroic herself without anyone prompting her to was in a story made up by Stan
Do you think he
wears briefs like original flavor Dipper does?
They would have never gotten away with it, but it would have been awesome if they had.
Reposting last night's poll:
Does Stan have a plan to save the town? Is he the hero the town of Gravity Falls needs?
Keikaku or hakku?
Darn you anon, I don't need an erection right now!
What about a loincloth?
s'funny, all i was thinking there is 'that's a difficult angle to draw well, and they did it.. and also their eyes look remarkably well drawn, too bad they dont always draw in those instead of pingponggballs'
i don't know if the joke makes sense or not english is not my main language, but here you go!
They erased encounters yeah but no one has any secrets. How does the entire town exist and they aren't involved in it? Stuff like the game machine code or the music cd were just there from other people who don't seem to belong to the town. Everything else weird tends to fall back on the journals.
>no True Form bill, just boring yellow triangle form
Remember when Tumblr and Reddit thought Tad Strange was a square?
>45 second high framerate dedication to Grenda's feet
>it really doesn't shy away
>it gets there and stays there the entire time
>guest directed by Dan Schneider
I want a secret bonus episode.
The book be damned.
And how about Dipper's dirty undies?
>No shirt, large collar opening
>Shirt, small collar opening
Seriously, the inconsistencies in this episode are crazy.
What if Dipper accidentally put on a pair of Mabel's super-sparkly, rainbow-colored. glitter-studded undies while getting because he grabbed them instead of one of his pairs when going into the shower, and also managed to forget shorts too (meaning he had to wear them to cover his shame as he went from the shower back into their room for more clothes)?
The episode was pretty good.
I appreciated that Mabel was cool with letting Dipper take Ford's apprenticeship if it's what he wanted and stated how she was just acting overly emotional.
Their sibling bond is tight.
my theory is that bill will lose his mind over everything going wrong then goes apeshit and achieves his final form
>Large blobby hand
They should at least know their own characters
>no final 2-on-1 duel with twins vs. Bill
>bill will lose his mind over everything going wrong then goes apeshit and achieves his final form
I wonder if he's gonna eat and/or kill the Yo Gabba Gabba rejects...
Well, it's pretty clear Bill will have a final form. I am pretty certain I've read in the artist's blog who designed these concepts that the second to final episode was his favorite to design. That means there's some major spooky stuff coming.
Personally, I liked the CONCEPT of the episode: one final episode just to show how close Dipper and Mabel really are.
The execution, however, was underwhelming and was not the best
I feel like this episode would've benefited from SOME revelation.
Hell, I would've been happy if it was just a short scene with Bill where he displays the wheel and says some off-hand comment about it.
"Wendy, are you sure about this?"
>no undershirt on underneath
>nipples poking through
"Yeah man, I've given it a lot of thought."
"I can't believe this is happening..."
>her breasts have grown to the size of Yulia Nova's
>she's wearing daisy dukes
"Believe it man, I always kinda, sorta liked you."
"Okay. Yeah, let's go to Mabel right now!"
>Wendy's wearing plaid lingerie
"Let's do it! You and me Dipper! Take my hand!"
"Wait...something's not right..."
"What are you talking about?"
>Wendy suddenly has a large bulge in her crotch
Reposting from last thread
Things they need to do in under an hour:
>Explain what Stan's been up to
>Get on their way to Bill's castle
>Explain the force field situation
>(Possibly) Explain the wheel
>(Possibly) Get the wheel characters
>Stan and Ford reconcile
>Bill gets defeated
>Aftermath and Conclusion
However he got out, he's on fire when they pan over the dance.
Seeing Dipper so happy when he thought Wendy was actually interested in him was the best.
I do appreciate how they continue with the Wendip stuff though. It is kind of hard to get over a crush like that in such a short amount of time.
i'm pretty sure he will get rid of them since they are not useful trapped in the bubble , like if i can't conquer the wolrd im going to kill every single living thing in this fucking bubble
>if i can't conquer the wolrd im going to kill every single living thing in this fucking bubble
Stan will never win over Bill's gang with his charm and cunning
Bill's former gang will never help out the mystery shack as attractions
Stanleyronicawill never be a thing.
Best case, she's banished with Bill's defeat.
Worst case, Bill vaporizes her along with all his 'friends'.
>Explain what Stan's been up to
>Get on their way to Bill's castle
>Explain the force field situation
>We get Bill's backstory
>Dipper punches Bill's eye
>Some end of EVA shit goes down
"Whoa Xyler I just had the raddest dream"
"Did you gain some hip philosophical perspective?"
"Nah, but there a pig and a goat and they were totally wizard"
Damn, shes got some titties
>I like the jockstrap idea
As do I, especially if it's either neon-colored, or glittery/rhinestone encrusted; or both; maybe something similar to the ones these guys are wearing.
Are you guys ready for Gravity Falls to be over?
How do you feel?
Everything will be okay as long as I have more cartoons to watch.
But yeah, I feel pretty sad, especially when it seems like the ending won't cover a lot of the stuff I'm hoping for.
>Everyone dumping on Mabel
>Literally NO ONE realizes she was brainwashed
Do you think Wendy and Soos got the same gleams in their eyes when they were seduced by Mabelland because of a coincidence?
It's a Lotus Eater machine. It makes ya wanna eat lotus fruits.
>if I'm gonna die, I wanna die hugging
>let my body be your shield
What a shame, I really liked the guy.
Hey guys I realize that my opinion/comment isn't at all relevant or useful to this thread, but I wanted to let you know that I went from hating Pacifica to loving the shit out of her. Thanks
Any new pacifica lewds?
Nothing new, but I've got some old edits. Plenty of breast enlargements, too.
I honestly expect Manzi to try and pull a Phil Hartman on Alex before the year is out
She seems fine to me. Alex broke up with her out of left field. If someone broke up with you you'd probably feel like shit for a while too. Then you add some gfg anons harassing her over something nothing she had control over.
I'd say she handled it pretty well.
We can just pretend we're waiting for the next episode. Forever
Soos confirmed for Babycakes
"Today on the road I saw something important. I like to think that they died while hugging and someone hadn't arranged them afterwards.
...I just hope that I die while hugging and not while in a wine-drinking contest."
alright so I just watched the first four episodes of gravity falls. what i wanna know is, are there any filler episodes I can just skip? because 40 is a lot of 22 minute episodes to binge.
Little bit of doodling tonight. Probably going to turn into part of a scene I've got an idea for.
There aren't many episodes that directly advance the overarching plot. But most of them add small hints to the lore or meaningful development to the characters.
Bottomless Pit and Little Gift Shop of Horrors aren't particularly relevant, though.
>Mabel, I thought you were living a fantasy, but look at me.
>I actually thought I was gonna stay here and be Ford's apprentice.
>Spend my entire teens cooped up in a basement with a labcoat? How ridiculous is that?
I can't fucking believe it.
Hirsh is actually a hack, and an emasculated simp on top of that.
No. Kids shows moved to adult networks never work because a reason why the show was good was because there were limits imposed on the writers and they had to dance around them. Ren and Stimpy was a cautionary tale.
It's awful. Dipper knows that there's this whole huge world out there of aliens and other dimensions and the supernatural. But he's done with it because summer has to end? Fucking awful.
I volunteer at an after-school program for kids and use drawings as incentives for them to do their homework. 1 page = one drawing.
I've started bringing homemade vector images of various cartoon characters and superheroes. They go nuts for this stuff. GF characters are a big draw.
But Dipper wanted an ordinary high school life and a group of friends before he ever met Ford. Did you sleep through The Inconveniencing and The Love God?
Being home schooled by his weird great uncle, away from his sister and every other connection to a normal life, would have isolated him completely.
The better solution would be Dipper's entire family moving from Piedmont to Gravity Falls, and Dipper and Mabel helping out Ford and Stan in their free time.
Why couldn't we have that instead?
Yeah, I usually hate fan fiction but after this I read some about Mabel's bubble and they were actually better. I guess my expectations were just too high, but it just seems like a big wasted opportunity after so many great episodes. I almost preferred Roadside Attraction just because it at least had some good comedy about tourist traps.
Someone on 4chan who can use their powers for good instead of drawing dicks all over everything. You're alright, drawguy.
Just watched it. Holy shit that was so incest-flavored it was almost too degenerate to air on children's television. Alex is so hot for his sister it's unbelievable.
>Don't do the pats!
One of the best moments of the whole show honestly.
I guess their collective secret was the towns weirdness and that's what the Blind Eye was there to keep?
Even that's pretty meh. It doesnt expand on the "there is no one you can trust in Gravity Falls" warning from the journals. Even the Northwests have no secret history like Bill and that tapestry was fucking nothing. Yet another missed opportunity from ending the show too fast.
That part was just written on Ford's paranoia that Bill could be any numbskull in town.
>actually wanting to show a 12 year old getting his neck brutally snapped in a kids show
Calm down Alex.
First you're threatening to shoot people on twitter, now this..
No wonder he was fired.
i cant even look at that top picture without thinking of the brendan fraser version and laughing.
what started as playful ribbing turned out to be frighteningly prescient.
why the fuck do shows have to end like this
dipper and mabel splitting up due to separate life goals is a perfectly legitimate ending and would actually be kinda neat
mabel is literally dipper's ball and chain and he's putting up with it for no reason
even if the show were to end that way anyway, it would've been better had mabel accepted dipper's "I'm seriously leaving" in this episode, before his change of heart in the next
I swear some of you fucks actually believe what you're saying.
Man the fact that Mabel was actively angling to get Dipper ejected into a post=apocalyptic wasteland to die for a good bit really rubbed menthe wrong way. If she was supposed to be hypnotized or something, they didn't establish that at all, it wasn't clear she was being influenced at all past just being offered cool shit. I guess I wasn't supposed to take her actions seriously because this was just a silly, slight episode, it's just hard when the last two episodes were played so seriously.
>Dipper actually gave up the apprenticeship
Why? Nothing about it would require him being in a basement either, none of Ford's work required that other than the portal and the rift that followed. He only stayed inside because he's an anti social prick. A proper apprenticeship would just be a continuation of his summer in Gravity Falls, spent mostly outside researching the town and defending it's mysteries. Actually he'd spend even less time inside because he wasted a lot of it trying to decode the journals.
At this point Mabel is going to force Dipper to cum inside her and force Dipper to drop out of school and become a 9 to 5 wageslave to support their healthy incestbabby.
Neither one is true. Ironically one reason the episode was shitty was because Mabel was so passive. Dipper saved her in the season 1 finale and now it's happening again. Compare Mabel always getting rescued in arc episodes and being either dead weight or a hindrance to the role female characters play in Avatar, SvtFoE, or yes, SU.
>Dipper saved her in the season 1 finale and now it's happening again.
Excuse you, but
Alex is trying to atone for splitting up with his IRL twin. Him and Ariel grew distant in their teen years, enough that Ariel crossed the pacific to get away from her family. Also Alex took the Hirsch savings all for himself to go to an expensive art school and Ariel was a NEET for four years.
That was cool but doesn't really compare to Dipper's leap of faith and fist fight with Gideon. Mabel does save the day in some episodes but towards the end, she seems to get captured a lot.
its like all sign of the Alex supporters evaporated overnight
Here's something I don't understand. Gideon made it sound like his part of Bill's deal was being "protector of the bubble." But Bill only captured Mabel to give her to Gideon. Isn't this circular logic?
There doesn't seem to have been any point to his putting Mabel in a bubble in the first place. It feels like a random thing that just happened for no reason because they wanted to do this plot.
>tfw Mabel will never be your sister so you can
actually have a sister
What if they never left Mabeland and everything that happens at this point is just fantasy? In reality, Bill has already won.
>has friends other than his twin
And you think he's going to have time to spend with them when he's working with Ford? You really think Ford's going to take "I want to go hang out with my friends" for an excuse to not take part in an experiment?
They were just using another episode to establish the twins' loving relationship. Where Dipper will be there deliberately running through traps to save his sister, and as for Mabel, well, Dipshit can go fuck himself until she sees her lapdog beg.
Yes. Ford is teaching Dipper to be his apprentice, not make him his personal slave to test experiments on. You're projecting a lot on Ford tbqh (real talk). A harsh environment with no friends other than your twin is what fucked up Ford in the first place.
I still don't understand Bill's second deal with Gideon, either.
Gideon implied he was going to summon Bill to regain his freedom at the end of The Stanchurian Candidate. And when Gompers took a bite out of the prison, he said "Bill came through", implying that Bill had fulfilled his end of the bargain.
But what did Bill require as payment for that? What benefit did the deal give him?
Was it guarding Mabel's bubble? The way Gideon described that, it sounded like Bill gifted Mabel to him rather than charging him with protecting her. Maybe that was just Gideon putting a good face on being ordered around, but it seemed unclear.
And why would Bill bother appointing Gideon as a guardian when he thought the bubble was an inescapable trap? Where was the incentive to offer Gideon a deal in the first place?
>Ford's mind not being affected by the portal unmentioned other than Alex saying he's made of tougher stuff than McGucket
>No real explanation on where he went and if it's even the same place McGucket saw
>Few details about his 30 year long interdimensional traveling, not even a single flashback
>Ford is barely in any episodes before Weirdmageddon in 2B
>barely any interaction with Stan
>non-existent characterization and minimal plot development
Ford was a mistake
Did you even watch the same show. Nothing about Ford changed in the town of Gravity Falls. Ford lost his trust in people back when he thought Stan sabotaged him. At most Bill amplified this weakness of Ford the same he tried to amplify the weaknesses of Dipper, Mabel, and Gideon
Also Ford's life was great.
2B just seems really mismanaged.
Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons, The Last Mabelcorn, and Roadside Attraction are among the worst episodes in the series. I don't know how those plots were approved over other ideas. They had to have had some better concepts lined up.
It's sad because I really did want to like DD&MD; some of the jokes were pretty good, but the whole thing honestly just feels mean towards tabletop games and falls flat at the end.
Yeah you can rationalize something after the fact, but it was really unclear.
Was the point of the bubble to draw out some of protagonists and capture them? If so, why? They have Bill acting like he doesn't give a shit, so why bother?
If it's for Gideon, why not just knock her out and hand her to him, why bother with the stupid bubble? Also, honestly, what the fuck does Bill get out of his deal? His whole plan for Gravity Falls amounts to nothing more than turning everyone into stone for the throne. He doesn't need Gideon for that.
It just doesn't make any sense. Before this episode, people speculated that Mabel was important somehow, either Bill was using her or she was the key to stopping him. But this episode gave zero indication of that.At the time I thought Mabel being a "chosen one" would irk me, but honestly it would have been better because at least it would have provided a rationale. Now I don't see what the fuck the point was. Again, you can always cobble together a fan rationalization that makes sense, but it sure as fuck wasn't clear from the episode itself.
It starts off really strong but as soon as the game comes to life it gets really boring and shitty.
TLM was another unnecessary Mabel circlejerk. Roadside Attraction was a scrapped Season 1 episode and it showed. It probably could have been salvaged if the Dipper Romance Drama plot was removed and you replaced Mabel's shit friends with Wendy and more Soos.
Nothing about Bill and Gideon even makes sense. Why didnt Bill just make himself appear to Stan, who had a journal and was desperate to start up the portal? Why make a deal with a dumb insane and power hungry 10 year old who is likely to double cross him and hope he's competent enough to even start the thing. The former plan wouldnt have require waiting 30 years.
> I thought it sent a pretty positive message
That was my impression too.
Mabel and Stan start out thinking the game's a boring hobby for math nerds, but they eventually learn it's also a vehicle for creativity and an interesting game of chance. I got the impression they could have had fun with it if they hadn't been forced to play in a life or death situation.
I liked TLM (funny, good B plot) and didn't hate DDaMD but RA and now Escape from Reality were utter shit. In retrospect, Weirdmageddon Part 1 was actually pretty good and DaMvtF was fantastic. But the weakness of this episode really bothers me because not only is this the penultimate episode, but the whole series has been leading up to this arc, and right now there's no payoff.
Sock Opera. The Last Mabelcorn. Weirdmaggedon Part I. Top 3 right now, though not in that order.
I need to watch season 1 again, but honestly? When season 2's good, it blows season 1 out of the water.
Fucking relieved that it's ending on a high note instead of lingering around for several more seasons long after the creators stopped giving a shit.
I am fucking ecstatic that we'll never see an episode where Bill holds up an ugly talking lamb as it lectures him on gender politics or watch Soos reunite with his missing father only for the plotline to get dropped like a rock in the least satisfying way possible.
Northwest Mansion Mystery
Not What He Seems
A Tale of Two Stans
I wish there was a really good Wendy episode I could point to since she's my favorite character. It's too bad we didn't get that one Alex talked about where Stan trains her to be a criminal.
Which she wouldn't have been able to use if Dipper didn't save her from Gideon
And besides, they were both in danger, so really she saved herself, with saving Dipper just being part of the package.
Honestly no, it doesn't. I get the feeling that because Gideon was the season 1 villain they just wanted to put him with Bill. But it doesn't make sense that Bill wastes so much time on an incompetent ten year old who's already had his ass thoroughly kicked. He doesn't have anything to offer that it makes sense Bill would care about.
Actually although I thought it was annoying at the time, the fandom idea about Bill trying to corrupt Ford, Dipper, or say McGucket now makes way more sense in terms of being effective. Bill apparently doesn't know a bunch of stuff about Gravity Falls and its "weirdness/paranormal shit" (which is also stupid, by the way) so having some humans around with some knowledge of it would make some sense. He does have Ford, but made things tougher for himself by not trying hard to get Ford on his side - he could have offered to spare Ford's family in exchange for himself or something.
I get that the real reason is just that Bill is a stupid jerk, it just seems inconsistent. At first, Bill did a good job of appearing to people in their weakest moments and manipulating him. A good example was in Sock Opera, where it got to the point that the audience agreed with a lot of what Bill said. Now, Bill seems to have lost that knack and isn't thinking anything through. So he's just a thug now, fine, I get that, but it is disappointing after so much build up to have a villain who's just floundering around without the heroes needing to do anything aside from giving each other pep talks.
Bill also didnt even know the combo to Stan's safe, despite his claim of knowing lots of things. I think the things we see in his eyes, like Gideons defeat dont actually mean anything. If Bill can even see that himself he doesnt recognize what it is or understand it. I also think that shit about him seeing through any triangle is non-canon because of this.
Even his grasp of human nature is shit after six billion years of existence. When Ford suspected Bill he just admitted everything and gloated about it despite the fact that at that point his plan hadnt moved at all and the portal wasnt activated and Ford had no reason to activate it. Bill couldve have just talked himself out of it but he didnt. It was also pretty wild to think that Mabel would sacrifice her brother's life over a fucking puppet show. Even given Dipper's past "sacrifices".
I think we all just overestimated Bill.
>Mabel is their avatar
>Even though Dipper has been in practically every single frame of the last three episodes and Mabel has been sparsely seen
>She's the writer's avatar because I want Dipper to be a NEET just like me but Mabel won't let him even though she fucking would
>Mabel is robbing Dipper of a great opportunity! There's a whole big world of mysteries out there!
Yes, and I'm sure exploring them all through a magnifying glass in a makeshift science-lab in an old man's basement - taking only sparse breaks so you can change his diapers and gently guide through the terror of senility and eventual death, is way better than exploring that fun world of mysteries and adventure with your sister.
>because I want Dipper to be a NEET just like me but Mabel won't let him even though she fucking would
Why is it a foregone conclusion that Dipper would automatically become a basement dweller if he took the apprenticeship? Does he not have any free will or are the writers just lazy?
Well that doesn't satisfy me, I want to feel justified in my blind rage at cartoon twelve year olds for not doing the exact things I want them to do. Fucking Alex, that mankeklet.
>significance of the symbol stan was branded with
>stan and ford reconciliation
>ford and fiddleford reconciliation
>ford's connection with pepsi max
>third twin staniel foreshadowing
How the fuck are they going to resolve all this in 44 minutes?
If they really were brainwashed, they sure as fuck didn't properly establish it. We got one line from Dipper, but other than that, they appear to be perfectly willing to stay only because they could get whatever they wanted.
Does Bill know Time Baby will eventually return in 1000 years? Can Bill handle Time Baby's tantrum? Will
why isn't Robbie here?
Love God made him part of Wendy's crew again
I can't really say anything yet, but I have a feeling they're going to adress it in the final episode.
Stan breaks Ford's machine and he gets mad.
Mabel puts the entire world in danger but Dipper still loves her no matter what she's done.
>The better solution would be Dipper's entire family moving from Piedmont to Gravity Falls, and Dipper and Mabel helping out Ford and Stan in their free time. Why couldn't we have that instead?
This is true. The problem with apprenticing with Ford would be that Dipper would be isolated from his family, and he wouldn't be able to stand that, because Dipper is fiercely loyal to his family, and actually wants to be popular and have friends. If the whole family was there to hit Ford in the nose with a newspaper every time he tried to make Dipper full NEET it could work.
Dipper explicitly worrying that the rift "must have broken in the backpack", and then Mabel conveniently neglecting to mention meeting Billendin makes me think Bill is gonna bring it up in a heated emotional moment
It'd be more interesting than Mabel recieving laser-guided amnesia of the event when Bill snapped his fingers
Which is why it'll never happen. Disney don't cater for collectors, just the kids. Unless there's a toy or coloring book involved then we won't see it.
The best case scenario is if they produce figures for their Infinity game, and even that's reaching.
How I would have done the last episode:
>Same until meeting Mabel
>Mabel walks in front of mirror, revealing puppet strings on her, showing she is controlled.
>The flashbacks happen in a nearby room Mabel shows them 'the imaginarium'
>Turns out Bill is using Mabel as an avatar, and Bill is trying to convince the other 3 to surrender.
>Same until fake Wendy (Bendy)
>Dipper still realises she's fake, but Bendy tried to convince him to give up. She is also a Bill avatar.
>Bendy takes Dipper to his old school, where he's the most popular kid, everyone loves his birthmark, and the teacher invites him to do a class on the Loch Ness Monster.
>He runs out back to the river to try and keep sane, talking about how he has to save the world.
>Bendy points out the world treats him like shit, and his parents don't care. She also mentions how he and Mabel can be Mystery twins forever.
>This finally breaks Dipper, and he surrenders
>Bill laughs, thinking they're through, and abandons control of the bubble.
>Take anon's suggestion about Soos's dad convincing Soos to do the right thing.
>Soos stops Dipper kissing Bendy, as the world starts to turn on them.
>The three reach "Babel" in the imaginarium.
>Babel is livid and stacks them.
>Dipper asks her to remember the follow ups to the flashbacks, with him giving her his hat to cover the gum, regardless of his birthmark being shown.
>Dipper also says that he realised that since being with Mabel broke him in this world, he realises he wants to be with her over Ford.
>Babel becomes Mabel, has an emotional moment with Dipper
I liked that episode, but I thought they missed some boats, fleshing out Dipper, making Mabel more sympathetic etc.
>yfw you realized that the one who did bunch of goat S2A episodes like NMM, scary-oke and blendin's game actually responsible for shit like RA and weirdmageddon 2
How did this happen, jeff?
One thing bothering me is why Dipper never thought to head back to the Mystery Shack in the 3 days since Weirdmargeddon started.
Wasn't he with Ford when the barrier was set up around the Shack? He should know that it's safe haven that not only keeps Bill out, but also the minions he summoned.
Awful lot of plotholes lately.
>never thought to head back to the Mystery Shack in the 3 days
>he was out looking for Mabel first.
We also don't know how long he had to evade Bill's minions and other dangers. Shack might not have been an option.
>We also don't know how long he had to evade Bill's minions and other dangers. Shack might not have been an option.
You got a point. The reason Dipper, Mabel, Soos and Wendy were able to casually march back to the Shack was because GF is now deserted with Bill redirecting his gang to fetch Gideon, probably "take a day off", thinking the four will be stuck in Mabel's bubble indefinately.
I've considered writing some fanfic to indulge in some creative tendencies I haven't explored in years. With the show ending so soon, I'll probably do it before the end of the year. Rough outline goes:
>Dipper and Mabel in Piedmont a month before leaving.
>School dance thing to end year.
>Mabel pushes Dipper to ask out the most attractive girl in school, who says yes.
>Mabel tries to teach Dipper dating etiquette with girls.
>Dipper gets excited, gets to dance.
>Turns out it was a set-up to publicly humiliate and prank him.
>Dipper runs out in shame and hides in the classroom.
>Mabel follows and comforts him, abandoning her date in the process.
>"Don't believe the things you tell yourself when you're sad and alone."
>Mabel rearranges the classroom into its own dance hall, and the two have their own "date" there instead to end the school year.
>mfw Mabel dies and Dipper stays with Ford anyway
>yfw Great Asshole Ford will have a shoehorned in redemption arc just like Gideon
Just a friendly reminder ...
Alex Hirsch caused 9-11.
>Maybe someone needs to come out of retirement
I wouldn't be surprised if he joins Bill's group the next episode. Dude's a villain.
Example of missed opportunities:
>Mabel says that she's OK with Dipper staying as Ford's apprentice.
At this point, Dipper should have brought up the fact that, right now, Ford has been turned to gold and as far as he know, he's dead. At that point, Mabel should have realized the severity of the situation and that she's responsible. She tells Dipper that she gave Bill the rift. I know that a lot of you would have liked for Mabel to get shit for it, but I think a quick "you WHAT?" followed by a moment of silence from Dipper would have sufficed, him him then forgiving her and telling her that all that matters now is saving everyone. It also would have cemented the difference between him and Ford, while giving a moment of the audience thinking that history is about to repeat itself. Wendy and Soos agrees, causing her to feel a little better, but also forcing her to face the hard truth that she now has to prove herself.
Feel free to disagree, but that too me would have been a much better way to handle it.
>quit bitching about the wheel
No. I'm disappointed it wasn't even flashed in Bill's eye when he was flashing the journal pages and that I gotta wait for a few more months before its significance is revealed.
I'm hoping these two are also in the shack.
Reminder that a few weeks ago Thurop tweeted that he voiced Gideon for the last time (he deleted it). Expect a prologue or something some time after the series finale
There's no way he was recording for the last ep at that time, it's way too soon. And yes Alex didn't cross out more shorts/Christmas special
That's where he gets his heart attack at 92 that Bill foreshadowed
>Candy cleans out her chimney on Thanksgiving and discovers Santa Claus who's 11 months late delivering presents to all the little children
>all the little details that gave you the impression that there was some grand scheme to all of this turn out to be meaningless and thrown in there just cause
>tfw work is getting In the way of posting cartoons
>Who was the 3rd man in the project to spin the key at the underground lab
-Also, 3 part harmony to defeat zombies
-2 people holding 3rd on rope in journal
Bill said he's bringing someone out of 'retirement' to get at the bubble shield...
Options, from most to least likely:
1. Blind Ivan
2. Grandpa Shermie Pines
3. Great Grandpa Filbrick Pines
4. Wendy's mom
