I volunteer at an after-school program for kids and use drawings as incentives for them to do their homework. 1 page = one drawing.

I've started bringing homemade vector images of various cartoon characters and superheroes. They go nuts for this stuff. GF characters are a big draw.

Yeah, I usually hate fan fiction but after this I read some about Mabel's bubble and they were actually better. I guess my expectations were just too high, but it just seems like a big wasted opportunity after so many great episodes. Here's something I don't understand. Gideon made it sound like his part of Bill's deal was being "protector of the bubble." But Bill only captured Mabel to give her to Gideon. Isn't this circular logic?

I liked TLM (funny, good B plot) and didn't hate DDaMD but RA and now Escape from Reality were utter shit. In retrospect, Weirdmageddon Part 1 was actually pretty good and DaMvtF was fantastic. But the weakness of this episode really bothers me because not only is this the penultimate episode, but the whole series has been leading up to this arc, and right now there's no payoff.

Honestly no, it doesn't. I get the feeling that because Gideon was the season 1 villain they just wanted to put him with Bill. But it doesn't make sense that Bill wastes so much time on an incompetent ten year old who's already had his ass thoroughly kicked. He doesn't have anything to offer that it makes sense Bill would care about.

Actually although I thought it was annoying at the time, the fandom idea about Bill trying to corrupt Ford, Dipper, or say McGucket now makes way more sense in terms of being effective. Bill apparently doesn't know a bunch of stuff about Gravity Falls and its "weirdness/paranormal shit" (which is also stupid, by the way) so having some humans around with some knowledge of it would make some sense. He does have Ford, but made things tougher for himself by not trying hard to get Ford on his side - he could have offered to spare Ford's family in exchange for himself or something.

I get that the real reason is just that Bill is a stupid jerk, it just seems inconsistent. At first, Bill did a good job of appearing to people in their weakest moments and manipulating him. A good example was in Sock Opera, where it got to the point that the audience agreed with a lot of what Bill said. Now, Bill seems to have lost that knack and isn't thinking anything through. So he's just a thug now, fine, I get that, but it is disappointing after so much build up to have a villain who's just floundering around without the heroes needing to do anything aside from giving each other pep talks.
