Maybe Jaune's Crocea Mors is simply unbreakable? Like it was designed with no other function than being a sharp unbreakable sword and an unbreakable shield so it's completely skill dependent. It may not have fancy gimmicks but it will never fail him. Think Captain America's shield. Beauty in simplicity.

How do you people cope with watching RWBY? Don't get me wrong, I'm not a hater, I actually like some of the fight scenes, music, and historical/mythical references, but the dialogue, plot, character archetypes is so amateurish and mediocre. Yes, I get the fact that it's anime inspired, but my God, did Monty and Moon guy bother even trying to create a work that wasn't derivative?

Literally everything about the plot is taken some other recent popular anime. Almost all the RWBY cast is some form of anime cliche. For example, Weiss is that aristocratic wealthy lonely girl, who happens to try to conceal her emotions. While Jaune is that self-insert character who has no business being there, but for some reason manages to get the respect and admiration from the major character simply for being his plain boring self.

I actually like the beginning part. The show should have focused on Ozpin and whoever the female narrator is that seems to be against him.

Same for me, I even got a figma of Mikasa (poor decision on me) before I found out that friggin almost everyone could turn into titans and that most of the important events that occur are from some insurgency group, not humans versus some unknown force. Once the mystique was gone, I didn't see the ppeal anymore.

I was thinking a pair of long-barreled revolvers, with a double-barrel under-barrel shotgun each, and a blade running along the top where the rail would be.
The guns would have a melee form where the grip is held from the opposite side, where the barrel runs along the length of the user's arm.
From here it would snap into place with a piece of their armor extending from the elbow, that acts as an extension of the bladed top while still allowing the gun to be fired.
The direction of the shotguns would reverse during transformation as well.
