>Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE reportedly includes the Black Canary, and Abbey Lee and Alona Tal are the frontrunners for the role. A spin-off BIRDS OF PREY movie is also in development.
So this looks like it matches rumors that they're going with more team movies than solo movies, with Justice League, Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey and rumored Teen Titans with Cyborg instead of a Cyborg solo. That's fucking cool. Legion of Doom when?
With everything rumored so far?
>Batman v Superman
>Justice League Dark
>Man of Steel 2
>Birds of Prey
>Green Lantern Corps
Batman v Superman 2016
Suicide Squad 2016
Wonder Woman 2017
Justice League 1 2017
Dark Universe (New Line Developed, May Not Be DCEU) 2017
Justice League 2 2019
Cyborg (Rumored Teen Titans Instead) 2020
Green Lantern Corps 2020
Birds of Prey (Rumored)
Blue & Gold (Rumored)
Batman Solo (Rumored)
Superman Solo (Rumored)
It's been around for a bit now. This news gives a bit of validity to the Birds of Prey rumors in the article as well.
Mostly two movies. New Line (Warner subsidary) was given Vertigo rights. Scott Rudin (Social Network, No Country for Old Men, Captain Philips, True Grit, etc.) given del Toro's Dark Universe. No clue if they're wrapping Vertigo stuff with the DCEU or doing their own thing.
>Blue & Gold rumors
>now Birds of Prey
And theyre both bs
Tho the rumors of Lex having a metahuman database could be true. If WB is looking to expand it would be simple to go in and add a post-production video of Canary in that sequence
Only retards assume it. They've stated multiple times that this movie will not be an adaptation of DKR, but it doesn't matter. The first website to report on it speculated Carrie Kelley and now everyone thinks that's what it is.
Doubtful. I'm betting she's the reason they even thought to use Black Canary.
I think the female leads are gonna be DC's strong suit as it always has been and it's nice to see them capitalizing on it.
Now we just better get Mera in Aquaman.
A guy on /co/ leaked some supposed Warner plans for upcoming movies, and it did mention WB was developing several lower-budget movies to be released concurrently with their all-star line-up, and specifically mentioned Blue and Gold and Birds of Prey along with Green Arrow, Deathstroke and Metal Men. He also dropped a bunch of pretty interesting potential castings, I'll see if I can find it.
She's a very well written female lead. She's empowered but doesn't equate that to being a bitch to her husband.
She's the only female lead I can think of that's in a happy relationship.
Watch every DC film
Buy the merchandise
Or the last DCEU films we'll ever see will be batman v superman and suicide squad
>Or the last DCEU films we'll ever see will be batman v superman and suicide squad
Wonder Woman and Justice League will come out at least.
But DC ain't no longer desperate now there's more Harry Potter coming up.
>DC will have Wonder Woman and a team movie with more than one heroine on the roster out by 2017
>Marvel has not even cast Carol Danvers and the movie's pushed back so Spider-twink can be introduced
Im glad they are doing nore team movies because i really dislike how there are so many solos at Msrvel dont really dont factor in the one team up movie during each phase. I know its an old meme but that really makes it feel like Marcel just forces out the solos like episodes to the big finale of the season.
And because of that they barely feel like a team.
So yes more team ups.
It's both hilarious and depressing how badly Marvel has dropped the ball in that regard.
And with how they keep pushing back the date, they really don't come off as having a definite plan. Hell, even Black Panther got a brief cameo/mention in "Age of Ultron".
In the superhero game, yes. Marveldrones love to push that BW was in movies before WW but she hasnt gotten her own. WW will have a cameo like role and her own movie in top of having BC in play about 5 movies when it took Marvel over 7 MCU movies to add SW.
Plus more if Birds of Prey comes through. I really just wanna rub into MarvelDrones faces.
I'm not your bro, brother.
But I do think that the studios at least have some inkling of an idea as to the direction their stories might go. Otherwise they wouldn't be announcing the projects they've greenlit five years in advance.
If you need something to rub in their faces, just ask them how many non-mutant, non-Spider heroines there are.
That's pretty pathetic, bro.
And it should be noted this comes from Latino Review, whose DC-related track record is spotty at best. They totally fumbled their Wonder Woman-related scoops so far.
>tfw no Bean
>tfw no Green
I do but they love trying to feel superior. I just want more fuel how many Female characters are DC introducing in BvS and SS alone verus Marvel? And shitty ocs from AoS dont count.
I'm not your fraternal comrade, person of interest.
I'll agree that outlines can change. But it doesn't necessarily mean that outlines are created without care. There's a difference between "Let's announce a two-part Justice League movie because that would be so awesome" and "Let's announce a two part Justice League movie that directly follows this movie and leads directly into these other movies while still being able to lead into its own sequel."
It's just fun to think about how next-to-impossible it is for Marvel to make a solo-female film based on how few female characters they actually still have the rights to.
I'm going to bet somebody's already made a Top 10 list, though.
I almost wonder why they aren't going for a Squirrel Girl movie before Captain Marvel.
I really, really like this idea. Justice League gets a single solo for the core five members (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman). Then focus on teams (Suicide squad, Teen Titans, Lantern Corps, Birds of Prey, etc.).
You're not only expanding the universe but you're not sick of seeing the same characters over and over in solos that don't matter. Solo Justice League member cameos have extra weight because they're the big league and you don't see them that often. You have cameos from select characters in minor teams in certain movies that fit them (Dick and Huntress in the Batman solo) and use Justice League as a big event to bring teams together for spectacles.
Which actually makes me wonder about Shazam. With it's place in the schedule and Rock confirmed as Adam, it might make sense to make it DC's first full on team vs team movie and introduce both the Marvel and Black Marvel families to get people used to the team format they're going for.
They are going to take away Caity Lotz!
Just like they took Michael Rowe.
Like that idea for Shazam but i feel the reason why we havent really heard news is because of the child to adult transformation. They need an adult/child duo that sell the idea they are the same person.
But Marvel has too many solos that dont matter when all the care about the team up. Cap2 barely fits into AoU and IM3 and Thor2 dont even matter which isnt good when Marvel wants you to think they do.
I want solo movies that can stand on their own as movies that dont drag down by trting to set up a movie that barely acknowledges them in the first place.
>But Marvel has too many solos that dont matter when all the care about the team up. Cap2 barely fits into AoU and IM3 and Thor2 dont even matter which isnt good when Marvel wants you to think they do.
That's not really true. They all affect each other but can stand on their own. Over-reliance is bad for the casual viewer.
>producers said they didn't know whose grave it was
>probably waiting to hear if BC is being used in movies
>if not they can just kill someone else
Makes sense now, it'll probably be Laurel.
But the MCU lives on it. Each Thor Cap and IM movies has to be used to set up the next team up. And it shows that the MCU isnt gonna go on much longer if they dont cuts deals to work together with Fox to get their most popular characters back. Or else we'll be stuck with D listers while WB can have years of characters to make shit with.
Cyborg's going to become a Teen Titans movie most likely.
Arrow's the one that started it all, but compared to Flash, Legends, Supergirl and Gotham it's really feeling like a relic in DC's new TV paradigm. They'll make the syndication limit with this season and I wouldn't mind if they made Arrow go out in style with something wild and crazy and had existing characters periodically cameo in other shows and use the Arrow budget/timeslot for a new show.
Except that's not true.
Also, they have Spider-Man back and are on the verge of getting the Fantastic Four, too. They have everyone but the X-Men, who will always be better in a self-contained universe.
And DC doesn't really have as much A-listers as you'd think. They're on even playing fields.
>LOSH gets green lighted
>Replace future flung superboy with a young bat-boy/robin.
Remember, Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad have to do gangbusters for half this shit to happen.
Wonder Woman too.
DC has plenty of characters that work in both solos and teams. More the Marvel who have more good teams than solos. And they barely use those teams. They are to dependent on solos when they dont have the support for it.
DC seems to go the team route because it works better. You get more characters out at once and can test who works and who doesnt quickly.
No what you get is a bunch of blank slate asshats with no characterization because Johns is the only writer they have that can write a team and even that's only when he likes them.
Time to update the list.

>who the fuck is movie Ollie
Ewan McGregor I really, really hope.
It's got a remarkable amount of mainstream interest right now due to the cast and concept. Adding both Joker and Harley Quinn was big.
Leto's big, Robbie is a hot name from Wolf of Wallstreet and Viola Davis is big now after winning her Emmy.
It has a ton of buzz from just about everywhere.
>2016 - Harley Quinn movie
>2017 - Wonder Woman movie
>also Birds of Prey movie in development
>meanwhile Captain Marvel movie postponed and in development hell
let me help you with that, like for example actual hype that gets crushed by the very first "profesional" and "objectives" critics which are no better than your average meme spouting /tv/-post which everyone will repeat like a retard because noone who watches capeshit actually reads comics and think those critics are totally legit.
fuck, I hate how this is a very possible scenario.
>If the film hits box-office targets -- it opened to $200 million worldwide in its first weekend and is projected to reach $700 million
MoS hit expectations, grossing more than every Marvel phase 1 film other than Avengers. It did fine, hence why the DCEU is happening.
Which you don't know and can't pull numbers about because you're talking completely out of your ass. Unless you count some random exec fluffing up a movie with offhand comments ("It'll make two billion zillion dollars!").
Here, here's another pre-release projection based on actual tracking info: Domestic $290mil, Foreign $360mil. It hit that right on the spot.
>which is why we're getting a crossover with Batman AKA the Sugar Daddy.
by that logic TWS underperformed too, since they scrapped Cap 3 for a crossover with Robert Downey Jr AKA their Sugar Daddy
Man of Steel (already out obviously)
Batman v. Superman
Justice League 1
Justice League 2
Green Lantern Corps
Justice League Dark/Dark Universe
Batman trilogy (rumored)
Blue Beetle & Booster Gold (rumored)
now Birds of Prey (also rumored)
I see a multiverse earth
>MoS and the DCEU is earth prime
>Cwc shows is earth 1
>Earth 2 is flash earth 2
>earth 3 is obviously crimen sindicate earth
>Earth 4 .... Boster and gold film earth?Watchmen new series earth?Make pax americana moovie a make the first morrison's adaptation?
>Earth 5 is shazan moovie
And make a crisis of 2 earth or more with this shit
DC are really trying to make people get sick of comic shit by flooding the market
Now we just need someone else to direct Justice League.
I say Ben Affleck or James Wan, fuck Zack Snyder, the man is a hack and a fraud.
I'm glad DC is hiring real directors, like Ayer.
> Birds Of Prey
what could possibly go wrong?!
Hell, they already fucked up Black Canary three times on the small screen.
>a Captain America movie
what could possibly go wrong?!
It's baffling how fucking stupid you are Xenos.
