Well it's titled "Epic" so it MUST be!

Seriously though, I haven't seen it, so I wouldn't know.
>>
>>77571420
It's pretty generic IMO. I enjoyed it but it's not 'epic'
>>
>>77571420
What is it?
>>
Get it?! It's titled Epic but everything's tiny! It's ironic!

I hope the fucktard who came up with that title stepped on a Lego.

It's not about the size, it's about how you jam it in.
>>
>>77571420

Hella fuckin' epic.
>>
>>77571420
Saw this in the cinema because it was a day out with grandma and younger siblings. It was alright. Kinda bland and felt like a committee voted it to turn it into something a bit derivative and safe.

It looks really nice, though. I also like the scene where the queen steps on lily pads and flowers, and plant bends all the time.

simply ebin : ^)
>>
>>77571487
This. The title really ruins this. They tried the Disney route of titling their modern movies as neutral as possible.

This would have befitted a lot of they titled it differently. Epic is such a fucking bad name.
>>
>Pitbull
Why can't this guy just make his own movie? Why he always gotta be featured in other people's movies?
>>
>>77571420
it's ok.
Nice art and animation. Story that you have seen a hundred times in other kids movies and an unnecessary love interest
6/10

The problem is, that title doesn't even give any idea of what it's about or even proposes a concept other than using a popular slang term (which I imagine a suit insisted upon).
>>
>>77571576
To be fair, the title is not why the movie is terrible
>>
>>77571769
Nah the movie isn't terrible. It looks pretty with interesting character designs. The story is just so fucking mediocre and unimpressive. And the title doesn't even tell you anything.

>using a popular slang term

An Epic is a grand story. Such as 'The Epic of Gilgamesh'. Traditionally this referred to a long-form poem like the Beowulf story, but as other forms of storytelling grew into prominence any long tale of adventure or conflict became an acceptable use of the term.

That is the use of the word that the movie title is aiming for, not "totes epic lol lamaeo" internetspeak.

Read a book.

BAREFOOT on lego.
>>
>>77571796
Yeah even the trailer didn't really give much to go on. Just some guy on a hummingbird mount talking ominous shit.
>>
>>77571420
It's shit. Motherfucking nigger queen
>>
>>77572293
too bad, the connotation of the word has changed, especially when its more used as an adjective now.
If it was "An Epic of X" or something it would be less of an adjective
Also being a cartoony style doesn't help
>>
>>77572792

What do you mean 'too bad'? Older uses of a word don't just dry up because teenagers on the internet misuse it for a few years. You can create new meanings of a word through popular use, but you cannot destroy older established ones so easily.
>>
>>77571796
It is crap IMO, it could be mediocre but the slugs killed it for me
