I Like exposed underarms.
Tipically hate booth, but love these gloves and boots.
Casual here, just curious, is there any reason for PG's boob window? Like is there a back story to why she wears a costume like that?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking it, I just wanna know if her comics provide any explanation for it.
Does the costume have some sentimental value?
Does she use her cleavage as a pocket for bite size snickers in case she needs a snack?
>Does she use her cleavage as a pocket for bite size snickers in case she needs a snack?
>bite sized snickers
Nigga she could store a box of full sized snickers inside her cleavage.
How does Power Girl fly without a boob ramjet intake?
Why do artists attempt to redesign Power Girl, who is mostly know for her design? Do they think they can come up with something better?
In universe reason: she can't think of a symbol for herself, so she leaves a hole.
IRL character design reason: Boner inducement. Peej was designed purely for sex appeal, like Starfire.
It's because Power Girl is seen as both empowering sexist towards women.
Every redesign tries to make her less skimpy, less sexual, which is the initial draw for many men and women.
What these people don't understand is that there can be positive expression of sex, and Power Girl is a great example of one.
No boob window, no dice. I don't really care if you consider sex appeal negative or are threatened by fictional women or whatever, just don't mess with other people's shit because of your own hang ups.
>taking away her right to wear what she wants
>implying breasts are sexual objects
Get a load of this misogynistic shitlord.
> Taking away a fictional character rights
Your waifu isn't real, she never will be, the quicker you come to grips with this the sooner you can meet a nice 3DPD girl, maybe even a cosplayer.
I knew one of you fuckers would come through for me!
Thanks, anon, you my nigga.
>I get to decide which women do or don't get rights!!!!
You're just digging a deeper grave for yourself, anon, you chauvinistic pig.
She's not really my waifu, can't stand blonde hair. I just like fucking around with you anon-kun.
Kyrptonians produce a lot of waste heat. They need to show a lot of skin in order to radiate it off. Superman's outfit is made of Kyrptonian materials so he doesn't need to show as much skin.
See, it's not a double standard. It's science!
How to instantly tell if a Power Girl costume is good:
Is there a window? If yes, it's good. If not, it's shit.
I blame the UK and their punk rock anarchy edge music
The others are bad but holy shit this one is downright offensive
Sorry anon, here, take this
GEE, I WONDER WHO MADE THIS.
The world may never know
Wait, hold on, your picture and these,
All have the same nose...
Not only that but the redesigns are all wearing significantly more, ugly clothing than their original counterpart, not to mention the art is a fucking eye sore.
There's a pattern here...
Couldn't find a larger version of this, and I can't remember who wanted it for his run, but this is the only redesign of Cheetah I've ever seen that makes her an actual cheetah and not a leopard printed barbie doll with elf ears.
Do whatever you want with the rest of her outfit, but don't you mongrels fucking touch that sexy sexy shoulder cape held on by a golden cord.
Ahh, yeah, that's right.
That's fucking adorable, I love it.
Acceptable since the spirit is the same. But for god's sakes if you're going to get rid of the fishnets, actually get rid of them. Don't just integrate them into pants.
I like this one for the throwback to Nightwing's 80's collar, also gives him a bit of a 'young adult greaser' look which works with Gotham's aesthetics for the most part.
>I was Silk before it was cool
I really don't see what's so edgy about >>77527901 besides black and red, and even then, red is the more dominant color and one of it's brighter hues which kind of pushes it out of edgeville
I guess she really liked those scalemaile panties.
Still not a bad design.
My fucking weakness!
I don't know if I like this too much. There's a clash between the style and the design. The design leans towards realistic but the style seems somewhat cartoonish in proportions, suggesting a simpler design should be used.
It's like it's trying to be the TAS Batman look (or the The Batman) while adding on clutter to the design.
I don't think I like Nightwing too much with a cape/coat. I'm a huge trenchcoat faggot with fake katana and probably a fedora somewhere in my house, and Nightwing Dick just doesn't feel like the kind of hero who would wear something big and billowy unless he's TRYING to be Batman, which, as I recall, he's expressly avoiding with Nightwing.
I know /co/ isn't crazy about the exposed feet/fingers, but it just feels right to me.
>licking molten nutty chocolate from Power Girls sweaty cleavage
Okay, yeah, Ultron is kind of edgy there.
That almost looks more like a Raven costume with the wrong colors.
I do kind of like this. In my head I'd see it as something Spidey would ware in his more veteran days when he's rolling with groups like The Avengers. For when he starts out though, I feel like he should dress basically like Kick-Ass with a Spider Motif, at best maybe he just looked like a competent cosplayer.
He's a high school student from a home with financial troubles, not a movie costume designer with access to a full staff.
I say shrink the belt buckle a little and this would be golden as sort of a "special operations" uniform he'd wear on certain missions.
There's a difference between fat and thick, child.
It's easy to see why they didn't go with this look in the end, these would just look silly. The more humanized look they went with is much more intimidating and works much better imo.
>Capitalizing every word
12 year old detected
dont forget this one
or the rare pepetron one
It would have been fine if he started out in the more humanized look but as the movie progressed, he became more and more monstrous.
But I guess it's hard for Quiptron to say jokes if he just looks scary
The problems with redesigns of Power Girl in particular, and female characters in general, is that 99% of the time they come from a place of shame rather than of love for the character.'
And yeah this is one of those "Wah wah they just hate sex" things but like, you never see little nods to the character's history or homages to some past arc or some great insight to their personality from the redesigns. It's incredibly obvious that the first and only thought is to tone down the sex appeal.
Whereas for example, a Spider-man redesign? Those things run the gamut of good and awful, but there's thought put into them. Even if it's something as simple as giving Spidey a backpack, because his fans have read hi books and know the jokes he's made about not having pockets.
the fact that the spider is the white on her costume and is on the back will never not trigger me
>but like, you never see little nods to the character's history or homages to some past arc or some great insight to their personality from the redesigns
Except most of those characters have shit history since they're only used for fanservice
It started out as a simple design decision when she wasn't intended to be anything other than a alternate universe version of supergirl and when she became a reoccurring/regular character the design was maintained and became something of a in-joke along with the fact that her bust size came about because artists kept drawing them bigger to see how long until editors would stop them.
They later made the in canon explanation for it being that she wanted a symbol that could represent her like Superman's S logo but could never think of one so she simply had a missing piece of her costume.
Ironically the boob window has actually become her symbol and in some of her costume designs it's more clever than others (Amanda Connor's version of her costume uses the boob window and her collar and belt to form a combination for the universal symbols for power and female (in other words "power girl").
everyone knows your version is and will always be inferior
dont be so salty that someone else won
I always wondered what would their children if this two freaks were reproducing ?
Here you can have this Beast redesign instead
>A female character? With exposed skin and cleavage? I hate it! Get rid of it!
>Breasts are not sexual objects! A woman should never feel ashamed of her body! Fuck dress codes, end slut shaming!
well anon there is a difference
is a girl want to go out topless she is on her right to do so
but if a males creates a female character and makes her use skimpy clothes just because he wants to sexuallize her thats wrong since the "girl" didnt choose those clothes
>implying there's no such thing as oversexualized costumes
From my standpoint, it depends on what they wear normally and how they operate.
I mean, I recently realized that Superman and Spidey's tights are a practical thing: they wear their costumes under their civilian clothes.
Now as men's fashion is predominately covering normally, they can get away with full bodysuits. But if Superman wore Hawaiian shirts and bermuda shorts, he'd either need to keep the rest of his costume in his pockets or start showing skin.
It's the same thing for female capes too. Batgirl (and Batman) tend to rush off to their hideouts and change. They also lack superpowers of their own that is not preptime, so covering up and armoring up a little is a good idea.
And lastly, let's look at Supergirl. She's a modern girl and likes to wear skirts that show some leg and the odd top that shows some cleavage and arm. So unless she wants to have a very different type of wardrobe malfunction, probably a good idea to go with that a one-piece leotard instead of something more modest like this. Unless she wants to flash her secret identity to a boy when she meant to show the goods.
I wish there had been more of these medieval Avatar designs.
Obviously. "Good" comes from depth of writing. How human the character is, how engaging the storyline is, the technical skill of the art.
There is literally no reason that you can't have your cake and eat it too.
I remember that. It was a cute.
I can get behind alt-universes/re-imaginings.
I do confess though, I'm a bit of a weab and tend to love Japanese re-imaginings.
Also, I find this one I'm posting odd, since, in theory Beast Boy's animal shifting is standard stuff in some forms of Japanese mysticism, at most he'd be a Korean sorcerer (Korean magic, as I understand, was usually 'change into different animals') and Starfire should be the foreigner, possibly Russian related to the Utsuro-bune myths?
I know its not technically a redesign anymore but I think it's a great look
But why. Slightly modernized take on the original is completely fine, especially considering the costume is how dude from the future thinks he should look conquering even further future and then coming back to mess with with the past. It shouldn't look realistic.
This one is pretty good, although I'm not sure if it'd work for Steve. BuckyCap or even Isaiah, though? Yeah, sure.
I like this one. >>77529584 is too generic, feels like a background transformer.
Perfect mix of the original and the unorthodox, but imo amazing, EMH design. I like the creepy jaw the most.
Also, speaking of redesigns: why so many people want to redesign Bane and why do all these redesigns take away the lucha mask in favor of some mechanical crap or bdsm gear? It's one of the least ridiculous themes among batvillains and you probably could find irl drug lords wearing them considering the role of lucha in latinoamerican popculture. Bane just being a luchador is a distinct enough theme.
Slapping a lab coat on top of most Pym costumes helps them a lot
I like this one
kinda looks like a trio of gamma detectors
>>77528098 Whenever spiderman's suit gains extra eyes and new takes on the web-spinners I'm a happy, happy man.
Y'know, I'd love to see a spiderman redesign where his web-spinner is much larger and back mounted, but its webs can be directed along his arms and legs as well. I think it'd allow for him to have more spidery poses as well as allow for some cool fights where he can use his web as a whip or a meteor hammer/rope dart style weapon as well.
I can't fucking draw worth shit if I could I'd definitely post some stuff based on that idea.
I love everything about this. Especially the full mask. Full masks are baller and I seriously don't know why Batman of all people doesn't wear one.
I remember reading one page where Joker was asking him the same thing and he said something like "Because I'm human" or some such bullshit.
>>But I guess it's hard for Quiptron to say jokes if he just looks scary
That's why it could have been so great.
"I can't physically throw up in my mouth" becomes a great line when his mouth is a glowing red smoking metal hole.
this is true. I was just watching some batman beyond today and wondering why the hell even in the future he never included an always-on air filter since it seems anyone can just buy tear gas pellets from the store
I think I recognize that artist...
He's one of the few Western artists who draws technically good superhero porn on a regular/frequent basis but all of his work is BBC and prolapse-oriented so it just doesn't do it for me. What a waste of drawing talent.
>nobody has posted this gem
>Iroh and Zuko just look like normal knights
If the Air Nomads are Christian monks (living away from normal society), shouldn't the Fire Nation that attacks them be Vikings/Danes?
What if her costume was upside down?
Superior Klaw design
I don't even care about the crotch, I just want more sleeveless Peej
>the slutty one fists the sluttier one
>she literally pulls out her anus
>finds her glove she lost
>it's someone elses glove from a previous fisting
It was him saying "to mock you"
Its not enough that "the Batman", the symbol, defeats villains - they need to know that a person could take them down. Not a robot or demon, just a man.
