Flanderization. The Movie had Bloo be all chill and open because you needed a character to soak in all of the actually interesting imaginary friends and new environment. Then after the cast got expanded and regular personalities fleshed out, they needed Bloo to fill in a role other than fish-out-of-water and just made him the jerk protagonist since Mac was already a friendly protagonist.

Later, Dodie found the records for the check, saw Courtney turned up and decided to read them at the announcement as the the next hottest news, and Ginger stops her, while also calling her out on only caring for her fame and not the people she's basically fucking up with the announcement
