For Wakfu they used the voices of the ones doing the dubs for Naruto, Bleach and One Piece in French so it's awful.

Good voice actors are a rare breed in France. Riot games have some decent ones for LoL in French but I tend to avoid French anyway if it's not the original language

People understand you but not a lot of them are willing to speak English because the French accent is even worse than French voice actors. A lot of people don't want to be made fun of there is also a part of the population which clearly doesn't know to speak English because they are old, speak another language or simply suck at learning new languages
