>Bad People Don't Deserve No Love...
Ginny and Eli feel it both.
Some normalcy in the sea.
Nothing hurts quite like love.
Especially for a couple of killers.
This is-
Stray Bullets #45-49 (Killers #4-8)
And here we go...

Alright, time for a small poll -
Anyone want to start the next arc tonight or leave the start for tomorrow?
>>77441796
Selfishly, i'd like to wait. I'm enjoying spacing this out.
He was kind of a shmuck
>>77441796
whatevers cool by you but this is hot shit
>>77441810
That's true, and I think people should be awake for the next one.
Placing the start at the end seems...lopsided
He's got a point Eli.
Damn, Adam.
Ginny is kind of a cunt m8
Eh, you got nothin' on the Huss, so far Adam.
>>77441920
Nina was right in a way, in a weird way, she's kind of a mini Beth
>>77441889
wow that is extremely stray bullets behavior
>>77441920
one of the hardest parts of this series is how victims turn around and victimize others/re-victimize themselves. It's a little too real at times.
Eli, you're not only dumb...you're stupid.
>>77441951
Yeah, and then we get full into that with what's next.
>>77441956
Agreed. Like, they stop learning how to not...it;s a cycle.
Any other location would have been less tinged with how risky this is.
>>77441986
>>77441975
i'm already crying because it's so obvious whats coming. fucking fuck fuck
>>77441975
oh boy this is going in the exact direction that will result in both maximum heartbreak and bloodshed both for unrelated reasons
Eli...you're a schlemiel
>>77442003
YOU FUCKED IT ELI
YOU'RE GONNA HAVE A BAD TIME
Crazy kids
Now, would you say it was worth it?
>>77442052
hahahaha oh fuck lapham you are one sick sonuvabitch
Oh fuck!
He felt that in the dick!
Ah god, just...shut your face Eli.
Well, cunt or not....who'd save your ass like that?
And that's where we must leave our teenage players for now...
But we're not done yet.
>>77442164
It's better AND worse than I expected. THANKS LAPHAM
Tomorrow:
The year was 1981.
This is a story about drugs, about revenge.
Of a woman, and the man who loved her.
The man they called Mr. Sunshine.
See you then!
>>77442015
>>77442151
wow damn i was even more right than i thought
>>77442192
thanks guv
>>77442181
Yeah, star-crossed they are not.
>>77442224
Good job! I honestly thought that at least the tagalong girl would die.
>>77442266
No problem, might start earlier tomorrow as well.
>>77442286
it would be less heartbreaking because then virginia wouldn't have to face the fact that she has a fully alive replacement whose life she just saved on accident
>>77442364
Yeah, that's gonna suck.
Plus, she just made a fully fledged enemy out of Kretchmeyer out of love...and that's now very tainted.
>>77442389
>Enemy of Kretchmeyer
It's a testament to the emotion of this series that I don't even CONSIDER the "politcal ramifications" and am instead all wrapped up in, "Oh no! They were in love!"
Also, I'm actually keeping up with your music accompaniments in a spreadsheet and I'm working on putting together a Stray Bullets infographic. Not that the series necessarily needs a "reading order" but a nice png might help spread the word about the series and I think it deserves it.
Any additional recommendations anon and/or DesDave?
>Supertramp - Goodbye Stranger
>The Roches - The Boat Family
>Bruce Springsteen - Atlantic City
>Can - Sing Swan Song
>Tom Waits - Jockey Full of Bourbon
>Tears For Fears - The Working Hour
>Beastie Boys - She's Crafty
>The Cars - My Best Friend's Girl
>>77444344
It's definitely not something that Kretch is going to take lightly.
It took me until I storytimed it to get onto how deeply screwed Ginny is now, so I got on late too.
And yeah? You think the songs are cool?
I mainly just think that any crime/love song from the 50's or 80's is a safe bet.
Like maybe
>Runaround Sue - Dion
>Still The Same - Bob Seger
And some stuff I'm saving for the next arc.
>>77444405
Even though the series is no where near as complex as say, the mignolaverse, I'm gonna list all released "chapters," indicate a loose date next to each issue, and suggest a song.
issues will be nested "within" a box indicating which trade they're collected in and trades 1-5 will be nested inside the uber alles "box."
This series is good enough that I want to encourage people to get into it anyway possible and I think the "scatter shot" release/titling might scare people off. I know I wouldn't have been likely to check the series out if the LCS owner wasn't a huge proponent.
>>77444521
Sounds really impressive, can't wait to see how it comes out.
And you're right, it would be a nice thing to have around showcase the series.
In fact, whenever I can't think of a song for an issue...I just don't link one. So, there's something to mull over.
Although I am disappointed I didn't fit any Ramones into Hijinks and Derring-Do.
I'm drunk as fuck on a train just waiting to get home, but as always thanks and bump
>>77442192
Hey Dave! Thanks so much for storytiming this, I've been enthralled for the last two days. I finally caught up and can comment on the story :D
Hey, infographer here.
I'm going through the issues making a timeline, and Virginia's return is kinda funky.
>Virginia is found by Roger in July of 1985
>Virginia Starts school back in Baltimore in September 1985 (issue 31)
>Issue 36 takes place "two weeks through two months" after Virginia gets back
...so I imagine it's happening "on top" of the fall '85 issues....except her sister is still home from college? am i misreading this?
Here's where it gets weird though.
>Issue 35 is in November of 1984...but Virginia is at school in Baltimore...WHAT
And then Hussey.
>Issue 34 is in October of 1984 in New Jersey and seems to be the "incident" in Huss' past.
>Issue 37 is Huss' first day in Baltimore.....though it takes place in January of 1984..and Virginia is there....
>How did he get recruited in Baltimore before he got kicked out of school in New Jersey?
>Issue 38 is March of 1985...and Virginia is there.....
WHAT? Am I missing something obvious here? Am I fucking up the timeline badly? How is Virginia abducted in June of 1985.....months after she's already back playing in the snow in Baltimore?
Did Lapham fuck the timline?
>>77446285
Looking at Issue 41 it's all of a sudden 1986. Is this a known flub that Lapham was accidentally a year behind on a bunch of dates and then "fixed it" when he picked it back up with Image?
>>77446285
I'm not going to go back and verify, but I found the dating to be confusing and wrong at times. I just assumed that it was a case of 'unreliable narrator.'
>>77446341
>>77446300
"Solved" it.
>Issues 34, 35, 38, and 40
The date is one year behind what it should be
>Issue 37
Two years behind. January 1984 makes NO sense and January 1986 makes PERFECT sense.
Somewhere between issue 33 and 34 Lapham lost track of what year it was supposed to be and fixed it with Issue 41.
suggestions? OP music is the left hand column obviously. Highlighted dates are incorrect in the digital issues I have and the listed dates are the "correct" date.
>>77446747
I have no idea what to do with those Racecar issues.
>>77446487

>>77446487
Yeah I mentioned that two threads ago and it's also on the SB wiki, which may help you with the spreadsheet.
>>77453367
I've been working on the sheet loosely along with the storytime. I hadn't read past Other People previously. I was avoiding wiki/etc to avoid spoilers but at this point it's probably time to consult other sources.
>>77450102
i'm crying. it's the most inappropriate thing and it fits perfectly
>>77449184
indeed.
>>77449166
I like it.
>>77455743
Yeah, I think the wiki's timeline is actually pretty sound. Maybe not as...intuitive as you can be (it keeps Huss' backstory in 2014) but worth a check.
>i'm crying. it's the most inappropriate thing and it fits perfectly
Came to me in the morning haha
I should have done the math beforehand. didn't shrink the cover pages down enough... this would end up being twice as long if I stuck with these, lol.
>>77456817
Woah, nice!
The covers really are a delight
