Ever notice how the majority of CN shows that were piloted and greenlit were by people who either worked on a previous show, had a connection with the people working on the shows, or were Andre 3000.

Also, the top pic uses the full Turner Animation Library, the bottom only includes original CN programming.

Nobody watched Hanna Barbara cartoons.
Okay, I'm assuming SOMEBODY did but for the most part even CNetwork knew they were just filler. It was even used In a bumper as a joke-
All the regular cartoons couldn't make it to work so the others just filled in for them.
The kids at home turned the other way.

wasn't it always like that though? pretty sure McCracken and Tartakovsky both worked on 2 stupid dogs and a bunch of cartoons prior and they were basically CN's golden boys for a long time, hell Faust only was considered for a show because she banged McCracken. oh and all with to CalArts.
