I used VLC's convert feature and got mp4 files for both episodes. The audio desyncs near the end of the episodes though (especially bad in the second episode). IDK what to do but I'll try to figure out a way to fix it

Those would be Transport Stream files, used for broadcasting mpeg2 data, and DVDs are packed in that format too (I think). Just drop them into MKVMerge (use the GUI version, drag the files inside and click "start muxing"), and re-save them as MKV format. It won't be a conversion but simply a re-packing (which is what re-muxing means), which is what you want, in order to preserve quality. If you would convert it, it would take a long-ass time and would lose quality.

I think it desyncs as a mp4 because you are showing mpeg 2 video into mp4 format, and maybe VLC is just too fucking stupid to understand that. Or maybe it screwed up while converting (note that you do NOT want to convert it, you want to remux it, eg. put it into another container). Or VLC just sucks. Or the TS files have errors, but I doubt that.

Maybe try using a real video player (MPC-HC is the easiest to use, most powerful, and smallest), see if it screws up with that too. But I'd recommend re-muxing it to MKV first.

But a majority of the fics are really rushed, with bad pacing, or poorly written.

2D animation is a lot more expensive to produce, since the process is linear while 3D production means you can produce one thing, while also producing other pieces.
More multi tasking, if it makes sense.

So they're doing 3D right now, and 2D is coming only if it's really successful.

Also, something to do with how western cartoons are more successful with 3D, while Eastern cartoons do better with 2D, and there's a bigger market in the US and FR, and convincing the KR crowd to like the 3D
