Stay tuned to Marvel.com for more exciting announcements on Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future.
>Ant-man and Wasp push Captain Marvel back meaning Wasp will end up being the first female superpowered superhero to headline an MCU movie
HA! Oh wait, shit, I wonder if this means that Inhumans will also get pushed back? That'd be a bummer.
>Finally, three untitled Marvel Studios films will premiere on May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020, and November 6, 2020.
Standalone Groot movie confirmed?
>Revenge of Celery Man
Can't wait. It's nice that the post-credits scene is actually going somewhere instead of just being dropped and we're getting Wasp.
>Wasp becoming the Official MCU Lead Woman
I'd be okay with that. Evangeline Lilly is a decent actress.
As happy as I am that we're getting another Ant-Man movie, Marvel seems to be biting off way more than they can chew. AoU and Ant-Man's box office results suggest that the MCU has passed it's peak popularity and has started to suffer from the market being over-saturated, and honestly I'll be surprised if they're still doing well by Infinity War Part 2.
>Additionally, Ant-ManтАЩs second adventure will lead to a couple of other films shifting their dates, with MarvelтАЩs тАЬBlack PantherтАЭ moving up to February 16, 2018 and MarvelтАЩs тАЬCaptain MarvelтАЭ landing on March 8, 2019.
Good move, Captain Marvel was gonna get slaughtered by Ben Affleck's Batman movie.
>this is what people think
Lol, Ant-man made more than most Phase one solo movies. AoU didn't make Avengers money, but it was still A LOT. Blame Whedon and his quipfest for the decrease in money.
Hank is still around, and it's heavily implied than Jan is still alive. She might even be the same age due to Microverse shenanigans.
>Scott, Hope, Hank, Jan, & Cassie form the Ant-Fam
>Bill Foster, Eric O'Grady, or the new gay Asian Giant-Man join the team in future movie(s)
>Maybe Luis gets his own suit, too
>May 6 - Captain America: Civil War
>November 4 - Doctor Strange
>May 5 - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2
>July 28 - Spider-Man
>November 3 - Thor: Ragnarok
>February 16 - Black Panther
>May 4 - Avengers: Infinity War Part I
>July 6 - Ant-Man and the Wasp
>March 8 - Captain Marvel
>May 3 - Avengers: Infinity War Part II
>July 12 - Inhumans
>May 1 - unconfirmed
>July 10 - unconfirmed
>November 6 - unconfirmed
>Captain America: Civil War - May 6, 2016
>Doctor Strange - November 4, 2016
>Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - May 5, 2017
>Untitled Spider-Man film - July 28, 2017
>Thor: Ragnarok - November 3, 2017
>Black Panther - February 16, 2018
>Avengers: Infinity War тАУ Part 1 - May 4, 2018
>Ant-Man and the Wasp - July 6, 2018
>Captain Marvel - March 8, 2019
>Avengers: Infinity War тАУ Part 2 - May 3, 2019
>Inhumans - July 12, 2019
>Unknown Marvel Studios Film 1 - May 1, 2020
>Unknown Marvel Studios Film 2 - July 10, 2020
>Unknown Marvel Studios Film 3 - November 6, 2020
So after 2016, Disney/Marvel will be putting out three Marvel films a year. That's probably a bad idea.
>Ant-Man and the Wasp
what a time to be alive
I think the bigger news is this:
>In huddled conversation with very well sourced comic book film insiders in New York bars last night, before New York Comic Con, there was one big topic of conversation. That the next two Avengers films, Infinity War Part One and Two, will have a combined production budget of one billion dollars.
>And of that, the above the line costs, that paid to the screenwriter, director, producers and principal actors will be a cool four hundred million dollars alone.
>And of the actor budget, Robert Downey Jr gets half.
>ThereтАЩs no script yet. Not even a plot agreed. But it expected that a number of Avengers characters wonтАЩt make it out aliveтАж
>inhuman past IF
i like royal shit but this means even more pushing from marvel
i trust the Russos and i except BW to be a double agent who is merely considering IM point of view but except if there if the defenders, inhumans or agent of shield take part in it,it'll feel lacking, but its a good thing because having less hero make the whole thing less retarded.
>M-marvel bubble will burst!
>Ant-man will fail!
>A-agents of Shield are irrelevant...
>N-netflix shows? Not canon! Not canon!
Best fucking time to get into MCU. While DCCU continuously fucks itself over by not allowing TV shows use same shit movies will use.
>implying AoS will still be around then
Oh who am I kidding, It's probably gonna get a free season four since it'll be close to syndication by then, and from then on it's just free money for the network
Please don't turn this into a console war thread. There's literally no reason not to enjoy the MCU, DCEU, and X-men. It's a great time to be a superhero fan, and all this /v/ tier shitposting to try and divide the fanbases along party lines only serves to bring down the quality of discussion across the board.

I am not saying I don't enjoy DC Cinematic Multivercity and movie line hasn't even started yet. But I am just saying casual capeshit fans got themselves covered and Marvel ain't going away any time soon.
I'm really not sure which jews you're talking about. The divide is being brought about almost entirely by newfriends obsessed with the console war mentality. It works in everyone's favor if all the superhero movies are good. If one studio kept putting out stinkers then it would bring down viewership for everyone's films because it would cause people to lose faith in the genre.
>Ant-Man was genuinely surprising.
If you watched Down With Love and Bring It On you'd know that Reed actually has a really strong eye for visuals. Even Yes Man was remarkably well-directed for a silly Jim Carrey movie.
He wasn't an expected choice, but once he was chosen I got far more interested then I thought I would be after Wright's firing. Hearing that all the Microverse stuff was his idea made perfect sense.
Derrickson is a decent visual director, he just needs someone to slap the screenplay out of his hand when he crawls too far up his own ass and gives us shit like Baghuul and The Jungler.
Putting him into the Marvel Factory is the best place for him. He needs voices above him to tell him no sometimes and that's what Strange will give him.
Lady Sif movie based on her short lived run in Journey into Mystery
ugh, thanks, feminists.
Literally everybody in existence will be satisfied except for capeshit haters
ugh, thanks, Oscar award jurors
It's a good heist movie and one of the few things in MCU that doesn't burn out by the end. It holds consistently solid throughout.
Biggest downsides were that main villain is basically flanderized Stein from Iron Man and they aren't even trying to hide it. Oh, and Hope van Dyne, she was super lifeless and boring, she was essentially just a material for Scott and Hank to bond over. I hope Cassie will take place of the Wasp, honestly.
>There's literally no reason not to enjoy the DCEU
I don't care about comparisons to what other companies are doing, but I do kinda like adaptations to at least have the same spirit as the source material...
But why do that when you can make another movie that'd give you mad dosh without having to share?
Also, ROM would probably need a massive visual redesign to work. I like the guy as much as anyone but past the iconic head he's pretty terribly designed.
But we can agree Fitz is best waifu, right?
I wish they didn't go with brain damage in the end, though.
Also, he's got a better motivation than 90% of the MCU's villains, true, but he was still comically evil at times. The scene where he decides to start murdering lambs for no reason just to make us hate him was silly.
He had most of his development happen outside the movie, but he felt like a believable character to me.
Also, if Marvel doesn't have the FF rights, does this mean that instead of space exploration they'll have their own adventures in the various realms with the ants.
Council of Pyms fucking when?
Crossfire and Taskmaster wouldn't really give good fights.
Whirlwind would be better, since his gusts of wind would protect him from ANTS and would prevent Scott or Wasp from getting close, so they'd have to be more creative. Would be more visually interesting too
After 30 years inside the quantum realm, Janet has been in concious suspension and has not aged physically, but has been aware of the time passing. She comes back with multiple personality disorder and slaps an old Hank Pym to the ground. She then becomes Red Queen.

I don't know why you'd even say that. I'm serious, what is the point of taking a book or comic or cartoon or video game that people like and making the movie version completely different, sometimes even to the point of being unrecognizeable? It's no longer the thing people liked, so why would you expect them to still enjoy it?
Obviously DC movies don't fall under the "unrecognizeable" category like most video game flicks...but still, do people actually want Superman stories to be about the worship and fear of a reckless deity?
Because, y'know, there's 70 years of pretty popular stories where he's not about that.
>for no reason
You kinda missed the point of the scene. It was a test subject. The only difference between a lamb and a rat is people think lambs are cute, a distinction Hope (and the audience) makes and he doesn't.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is a fucking perfect title. Im so glad its getting a sequel
But that's always been a theme in Superman stories. There was a cult of Superman in the comics.
70 years of Superman stories changing and adapting it hasn't never not been changed. Like I said you want to sound like you know what you're talking about but you clearly don't.
I cant believe it took so long but how fucking amazing is it we're finally going to see Ant-Man and Wasp? They're right next to Batman and Robin to me.
call me a fag, but I totally thought they were gonna make fitz gay for Al
The salt on twitter is delicious and I haven't even checked tumblr yet
That's so stupid. What are these people even assuming? That Marvel's full of evil sexists who are pushing back Captain Marvel out of spite for women instead of something logical like production/casting issues?
Seems like it. You can tell they are struggling with how to do Captain Marvel and Black Panther movies. That's whybthey keep getting pushed. Captain Marvel will be harder because most of her history is on team books and her solos aren't that good. Marvel needs to come up with something great and they need time.
I don't really understand why so many people are excited for the Captain Marvel movie and campaigning for a Black Widow movie. Why pick the most boring possible characters? What's wrong with Wasp?
>Official MCU Lead Woman
What about the one with actual superpowers.
Because they seem to think their aren't female lead action movies/shows. When like a third of prime time is female lead. A Be won't work in the current MCU and its need to be a stand alone thing. Carol is pushed without anything backing her and you can tell they only chose her because how similar powerwise she is to DC's well known females like We or Power girl. They can't use Xmen ladies and they are scrapping at the barrel.
Sure just keep proving you don't know what your talking about.
Look, I get it, you apparently like the whole meme or trend or whatever you want to call it of of calling Superman a "god".
And you read a story once where people in the comics worshipped him. Good for you. Too bad that was a single, brief arc that had ZERO impact on the greater continuity of the character.
But he's just a dude with powers. Without sunlight, he can get sick, he can age, he can die. He's not really immortal, he didn't create the universe or the human race or anything at all really, he doesn't deserve worship. He doesn't fall under the definition of the word "god".
So Zack Synder basing his movies around that same idea means he's not capturing the spirit of the Superman mythos.
The he'll are you talking about. People will make a cult out of any belief. People make cults about fucking comets, and the Superman cult has been a thing for a while in DC. Hell they even had them try to steal Conner's body after he died fighting Superboy Prime and worship it.
Even if all you said is true it won't stop people from seeing him as outworldly. And no one is saying that people are seeing him as a God and the movies certainly aren't. Please go away your /tv/ is showing.
>the Superman cult has been a thing for a while in DC
Yeah, here's the thing about that. I'm not from /tv/. I've been reading comics for a couple decades.
And hey, maybe I missed something, but the only time I've seen this fucking cult thing is the part you mentioned in 52, and that was like the tiniest, most forgettable subplot in that whole book.
So they must not be as god damned important as you think they are.
Theynwerena small consistent thing and I admitbthe example I used wasn't in the main Superman books and mostly revolved around Cassie who joined it to get over Conner's death. But they be been there.
Both do it but Fox it kinda works. Deadpool will make some moneynand Gambit is the only thing.
I was trying to say Marvel saysnthey arengonna donsomething and then are stuck with forcing themselves to gonthough with it.
>I like that it's giving them more time to break Capt Marvel and get it right
Given the new comic is going to be run by the Agent Carter producer pair, I'm fine with this. They're suppose to shape the comic towards what a movie for Carol should be about.
I'm glad they moved Black Panther up to before Infinity War: Part I.
I am seriously pissed that they bumped Captain Marvel back. Fuck Kevin Feige. He should have put her in Age of Ultron like Whedon wanted. At this rate we'll never fucking get Captain Marvel.
>not a Hank/Janet movie set in the Cold War period, with AIM as the villain
>Lang the blandman and literally who MC2 reference
The worst thing about this is that it'll likely result in the Lang oingoing lasting forever while Pym is in a limbo and O'Grady will likely join him there as soon as Illuminati ends. Sad times.
He has the same generic backstory as 616 Lang and is a generic funny action movie protagonist with criminal past, maybe if you compare him to Ultimate Lang who was pretty much a background nobody you can reach such a conclusion but otherwise I'm not seeing it.
It's mostly because the treatment of female characters in the films has been utter garbage with the exception of Black Widow and Scarlet Witch. By the time Captain Marvel comes out Marvel will have released over 20 films with male leads and not one with a female lead.
There are so many great female characters in the Marvel Universe and Captain Marvel is full of potential and great things could be done with her. Growth and diversity in the MCU are being slowed thanks to Feige and so much potential is being held back because he only cares about lowest common denominator, mass market appeal and plays everything thing safe. There hasn't been a real risk in the MCU yet.
I'll grant you Killian, but Cross isn't really a literally who since he's part of Scott Lang's origin story, so him being in the movie makes sense. It's just that he died in said story so most people aren't familiar with him
Having never really read many comic books, I've been reading the hick man run and I love it. It's almost like Rick and Morty without the profanity and humour. I'd love a bunch of exploration movies even without a villain.
I'd love a council of Reeds movie for a non-origin movie. Alternatively a council of Pym's would be freaking awesome.
He was much worse in Wright's script from which most early leaks came and Pym was hardly features in promos, so it was kinda justified. Buscemi would've been a better fit but Douglas was decent enough - hardly GOAT, but acceptable.
Marvel wanted Buscemi for the role and only went to Douglas when it turned out there'd be a scheduling conflict if they movie wasn't to be delayed again.
I think both choices are good but it's true that Buscemi fits better if they'd want to make a 100% accurate old man Pym
>There are so many great female characters in the Marvel Universe
Magic is scientific, especially the way it's handled in most fiction and a world were it wuld exist would by defintion have it open to scientific analysis.
Science is just metagaming reality. If you can repeat an action for a controlled result, that's science and that's what Strange does.
The whole reason he is so good ia because he can apply his Med training to magical practices.
The idea of Magic and technology being some arbitrary bubbles is nonsense, for gods sake Machine and Magic are derivatives of the same word.
it is because it made less money than the first avenger and worse, people like it a lot less and that is the big damage, a damage to the brand, that is why it is considered a disappointment, while Ant-Man, it made money and made a brand, people like Ant-Man now and will like more when cap 3 comes out, so Ant-Man was a big win, while Avengers 2 is a thing where they have to make repairs to the brand.
He meant the comics proper, not the films. Still, that guy's an asshole for placing so much importance on Carol Danvers. There's plenty of superheroines more deserving of a movie than her.
Like Squirrel Girl.
Wasp is as much woman as Carol is JFC, just because she shares a title with Ant-Man doesn't diminish her in any way.
Is their femininity so fragile that a bit of masculinity kills it?
It's my opinion but I completely stand by it. Part of the problem is that Age of Ultron is the first Marvel movie that actually requires viewers to think. Thematically the movie is pretty brilliantly layered and an incredibly dense film. It's more intelligently written than any other in the MCU but has a nice shiny fun surface so that it can still appeal to all ages, unfortunately people don't look underneath since no one expects a Marvel movie to actually have meaning behind it.
So who is sticking around after Infinity War, so far we got Ant-man, Wasp, Spiderman, Dr Strange, Captain Marvel, Black Panther(?) and Inhumans (+possibly defenders). Im I missing anybody?
Also I wonder who is going to be bigger poster face for mcu Spidey, Strange or Inhuman.
You're laying it on pretty thick man. Anyway, i liked it well enough. my problem was there was no sense of accomplishment because they were basically cleaning up their own mess. in the first one they stopped and alien invasion and were actual heroes. here, all the bad stuff is a direct result of the avengers
>AoU hijacks Ultron's complex themes without giving him any of the character to make them stick
>Thinks this is a good quality
The Pym/Ultron dynamic inherently evokes that, Ultron is focused on Pym far more than this Ultron is focused on Tony/Banner.
Part 1 is probably a space opera with Strange, Wanda, Vision, Thor, and the GotG and the Kree and Nova Corp fighting Thanos across the universe.
Part 2 is where it comes to Earth.
Every fucking time. I swear by god, every fucking movie you faggots say this. At this point it even looks like you are being ironic. I hope you are. Because if you are not you are just fucking retarded.
i still think they blew their load too soon with that one. why make civil war within a captain america movie? why can't it just be marvel's civil war, and wait a little longer so the universe feels bigger. then they could bring in all the netflix shows characters and everything
>here, all the bad stuff is a direct result of the avengers
That's a huge point of the movie and what sets things up for Civil War. They begin the movie as the biggest heroes in the world, literally celebrating their own accomplishments and patting each other on the back. Throughout the film they are broken down and torn apart, literally having the darkest parts of who they are and what they've been through revealed to them. Ultron was trying to show them and the world that they're not heroes, he's challenging them and calling them monsters and tyrants.
By the end of the second act they're all struggling with the fact that Ultron may be right, and have all been told or called themselves monsters by that point. The time one the farm is The Avengers talking a reprieve to figure out for themselves if they are or aren't the monsters that they now believe themselves to be and to see what it is they're fighting for. The fight against Ultron in the climax is their attempt to prove him wrong and Cap pretty much exactly states this. While they ultimately succeed Ultron has still left his mark and we'll see that in Civil War. It's an utter deconstruction of the The Avengers.
>You're laying it on pretty thick man.
I don't think that I am but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I just thought there was a lot going on thematically in the film that people tend to ignore.
>being a Marvel fan
>All this good content(fight me)
I'm being spoiled so much by this company.
How are you going to expect casuals to watch every single marvel movie to understand civil war?
Most people I know stopped watching marvel movies after avengers.
Also, please don't insult me.
>How are you going to expect casuals to watch every single marvel movie to understand civil war?
The same way they watched every Marvel movie to understand Avengers 2. And this one doesn't even have Thor or Hulk in it
>Finally, three untitled Marvel Studios films will premiere on May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020, and November 6, 2020.
>Jeph Loeb convinces Feige to produce an Iron Fist film because he doesn't have the budget to film him
>We get a proper Kun' Lun
>Feige agrees to add Shou-Lao the dragon to cash in on the Jurassic Park dinosaur craze
CHIKITY CHINA THE CHINESE CHICKEN
sure he is, because they say so. thor ragnarok will premiere either before or after civil war, not simultaneously. there's no reason for not to be in civil war then fuck off to have his ragnarok. or could have gotten back already. they just made it this way because for some reason they didn't want the characters in it
Avengers 2 made LESS than Avengers
Do you understand what that means?
Less people are watching the BIGGEST movie event in Marvel
If Marvel can't get people to watch their star movies, how the hell do you expect them to convince casuals to watch a 3rd Captain America movie?
The Captain America movies are not very popular, even Thor movies get more people watching them.
Casuals want more Iron Man, more Black Widow, more Thor.
How can you get to watch a movie that stars a non-popular avenger, and require MULTIPLE movies to watch?
To understand Civil War you need : Captain America 1,2 Iron 1,2,3, Thor 1,2 Hulk, Avengers, Antman, Avengers 2
AND they need to know about characters like Black Panther
The first Avengers was a cultural phenomenon and one of the highest grossing films ever made, it also had little competition. Comparatively Avengers 2 had a lot of competition when it came out with terrible marketing.
fucking rights, this is the second best Marvel movie yet and it was a HUGE boon to their franchise that showed that even with terrible production events it could still work. This proves Marvel is playing the long game, it beat out Hulk, Cap 1 and will probably beat Thor 1. But it also had a smaller budget then all marvel movies, yet it worked. Ant Man is a huge success, even though it hasn't been financially, it has been franchise wise.
And Wasp deserves to be in Avengers, she is the most important female Avenger there is. I don't care if her name is Hope or Jan, she HAS to be there as the core. Ant Man set her up as the most competent female super in the MCU. I'd be totally fine with a WASP lead Avengers.
BTW Feige already said Wasp has the most important role of phase 3. Here is what happens.
>Subatomic. space and time lose meaning
>Thanos uses those gems
>Wasp takes them out single handedly by making them subatomic.
either her or Lang
>The Captain America movies are not very popular, even Thor movies get more people watching them.
Except it's the exact opposite. Cap's second film made $70 million more than Thor's.
>To understand Civil War you need : Captain America 1,2 Iron 1,2,3, Thor 1,2 Hulk, Avengers, Antman, Avengers 2
Most of the people who will see this movie have already seen all of those films, or are willing to see them.
Also, I doubt that even half those films will be directly relevant. Do you really think the plot of Civil War is going to hinge on Ho Yinsen or The Red Skull? At best it will require TWS and Age of Hultron to understand.
>AND they need to know about characters like Black Panther
Except that this is his debut, and the audience will be introduced to him as such.
Think before you post.
yes man we're both clear on that. you're failing to get what i mean. it's happening at the same time because they want it so. it's not some unavoidable thing. they could just say, raganrok happens after civil war. now we have thor in the movie. they chose not to
oh yeah, that's why more people watched every marvel sequel but that SINGLE ONE. Ant Man made less cause it was a troubled production but it still beat most phase 1 movies.
AoU only made less because it was a worse movie, quite trying to choke up one movie as a pattern
although I don't think it was a worse movie, it definitely wasn't as fun as the first one for sure. (I still think it was better shot and more ambitiously written, quips aside).
But the Avengers movies are in the billion range, and that threshold can only be crossed by being generally hype, so people go in for second and third viewings. Without that they will cap at the number of people interested in it to see it once.
The numbers don't lie.
Less people saw Avengers 2 than 1
Okay but still
Iron Man 3 made over 1 billion dollars
Cap 2 didn't get near that
What does that say about who the audience likes?
The thing that bugs the hell out of me isn't that Ultron got the Michael Bay treatment, it's the fact that is head is just mocapped Chrome James Spader.
Well then it sure is a good thing that RDJ as Iron Man is 100% guaranteed to feature in every poster, teaser, and trailer for the film from the beginning to end of the marketing campaign.
there's an honest trailer of avengers AOU that pretty much explains all the shit whedon was forced o cram in the movie so that explains why it was worse
>More people saw Age of Ultron than Avengers.
I've been saying they should've just made Civil War an Iron Man movie and not a Cap movie.
It would've made more money and got more people to watch it
RDJ's presence alone is what will ensure this being a success, plus they are going to market the movie as Avengers 2.5
But of course, they are not going to make it an Iron Man movie because we all know that in Civil War IM is the bad guy.
I can't find the article but the difference between what Avengers and Age of Ultron made is pretty small. Avengers had a high number of repeat viewings (due to low competition) and sustained its box office power for months. Age of Ultron had numerous blockbusters released right after it which cut down on repeat viewings.
he's actually jot but whatever
>fuck the law, fuck the will of the people, i'm captain america and if i say something is wrong then i will plant myself like a tree beside the river of arrogance and say "you move" because my opinion is the moral compass of the world
it's more because ultimate pym had such a harrowing and effective abuse scene with the ants biting and eating janet that it got burned in people's memories and now they all think ultimate pym is pym
I think people are overestimating how similar this will be to the book considering we already know the central plot of Tony and Steve disagreeing about what needs to be done about Bucky with Zemo orchestrating all the shit from behind.
so...civil war will be about bucky? that's it? wow, those two will tear the world asunder for just about anything. i'd hate to see what would happen if they ever reached for the last nacho at the same time
Antman and The Wasp: Entangled
(sounds cheesy but wait for it)
Pym finds the only way to enter the microverse safely is by entangling two people. They enter find Jan, but start losing control
Pym finds this out and races to an old lab, one he had worked on for a decade when he lost Jan
>flashback Pym ignoring his daughter and instead working on a computer, an AI that will calculate the microverse and bring Jan back.
>can't make it work, gives up a broken man as Ant Man 1
Turns it on anyways and try gives it the entanglement 'coordinates' it needs.
>Bring them back Damn it!
Brings them back but only as they finally see Jan, as they are also losing contact with each other and themselves and getting lost.
Depressed scene, except Pym, he get obsessed instead.
1/2 second part incoming
Cap will be searching for Bucky because he wants to help him, Tony however will either want him dead or in jail (Winter Soldier slyly implies Bucky may have assassinated Howard Stark). The two will be at odds not over that, but also of the newly pushed Sokovia Accords, which has divided the hero community.
Meanwhile Zemo will likely be playing a hand in events or using them to his advantage. The crux of the story is going to be Tony, Bucky, Cap, and possibly Zemo. Everyone else for the most part is going to be there just to illustrate the divide created by the Sokovia Accords.
Look at all the push they're trying to give to the Inhumans. They know that have properties that very well COULD be successes if they play it right, but only hardcore fans know about them, so they're giving them every last bit of oomph they have.
While obsessed and analysing data, unknown to Pym his old lab that brought Antman and Wasp back comes online.
>flashback, Pym in his most obsessed times made the computer a body like Jan.
>Hank, Hank, What is--
>Jocasta now online, analysing, analysing, entanglement confirmed, parameters accessed, locking down, entanglement dis-dis-dis...entanglement confined."

Go to kill Jocasta and Pym yells

Not spoiling the ending though!!!!!
Tony sees Bucky as an iredeemable assassin considering he killed Tony's parents and countless other people for decades. He wants to see him stand trial for it. And since Steve will be protecting Bucky because he's his Bucky and Tony can't have him, they'll be fugitives.
All of this being orchestrated by Zemo who instigates the events behind the scenes and is the main villain. Focus being on Bucky, Steve, and Sam, along with the rest of their team. Tony and his team are basically going to be for the big fight scenes, and no doubt plenty of Steve and Tony arguing scenes.
>not actually using any inhumans from the comics except daisy
either have the fucking inhumans in AOS or wait for the movie, but these non-characters are annoying as fuck. like that electric pretty boy, who is that? wh the fuck cares?
Big events kind of work in the comics, because fans know a lot of heroes, and they have a long form story to tell them with. Movies last for about 2 hours, so them having more characters to use wouldn't necessarily be good or needed. The teams in this are 5-6 people, and some people are already saying it feels overcrowded.
There really isn't one. His role was initially just a cameo that might have been slightly expanded upon. It's not really an adaptation of the comic, just re-purposing the name and some ideas.
god you people are insufferable. Who cares about these characters? No one, until they make a fucking story about them. You act as if only silver age character are to be cared about, a lot of them have been forgotten and for good reason.
Cameo on Tony's side to get people hype, and plenty of action scenes. We already know that the actual actor only has one scene, with all the rest being a stunt double in full costume and some vo quipping.
It's the fight scene team, and we get to see Spider-man fight. He's just another member of Tony's team. Hell, T'Challa will likely have more scenes than Spider-man despite Spidey's movie causing his to get bumped back a year.
Of course, the Feige could always go "needs more Spider-man" and change shit, but it all seems pretty minor from what we've heard.
fair enough. so you'r actually saying these made-for-tv inhumans have a shred of depth, personality or anything interesting about them? which ones? can you even remember their names?
Yes, but at the time it was a big fuck you to the CCA and a genuinely bold move that reinvigorated the industry back then.
Ultimate Spider-man and Ultimates were a huge deal. Even Ultimate X-men and UF4 were doing great stuff, with only Ultimate X-men being a rela product of its time and kinda shitty looking back.
Millar and Bendis were in many ways the shapers of the 00s for Marvel in the same way you could look at Rob Liefeld and Jim Lee.
not gonna lie though, seeing even one scene of spidey fighting other marvel heroes is giving me a giant boner, so hype achieved. maybe i'm just drinking the kool aid, but damn it tastes good
I have never read anything with Hyde before but he was fantastic, so was his wife. Which in turn added more to Daisy than I read in comics, which admittedly isn't much cause she didn't seem cool.
Also, I get compassion more for this nightcrawler than I have for the Fox movies.
It was also an attempt to hire better quality artists and authors. It's a shame that Marvel went back to square one, they spend pennies on art and have been loosing authors all over the place.
>ant-man fans had to wait decades for a proper ongoing and the movie
>carol fans had ms. marvel and captain marvel push in 2009
>their movie gets delayed by ant-man 2
I don't have a smug enough pepe for this one
hyde is a daredevil/street level marvel villain who was a scientist that made a super-strength formula which turned him into a loon. he has nothing to do with inhumans. in his "hyde form" he's also very eloquent and intelligent which serves as a juxtaposition to his violent and insane nature. tv hyde just became a shittier hulk, losing his intelligence and going berserk.
the wife was bland as fuck for me, and her "secret" evilness was obvious from the start. also note you don't even remember her name(neither do i, but you're the one defending the character)
Secret Invasion, Skrull/Kree War, Dark Reign.
& if they get FF back by then they'll have Annihilus, Galactus & Doom.
They could also always go back to Thanos in like Phase 5 or 6, he's more than just one story.
I can't ever remember those type of chinese names. Jiayjaig? I can't pronounce a fucking Welsh city name, nor most names in Canada. Hence why I don't remember. It's just the fact of her having a complex name I don't know it, I know Lincoln, but care more about Jiay something and not-nightcrawler than him.
Honestly I wouldn't mind if they dropped the continuous narrative. They don't need to have a big bad, necessarily. Maybe just have a mid-phase where they focus on telling stories instead of setting up Secret Invasion or what have you.
>so you'r actually saying these made-for-tv inhumans have a shred of depth, personality or anything interesting about them?
>which ones? can you even remember their names?
Raina, Gordon, Lincoln, and Jaiying. Now we've got Joey, who I think is a nice addition to the show (He was great in Narcos
Cal/Hyde is GOAT.
I loved Jaiying. I thought she was great and while we could see the evil twist coming I thought she was a good character.
>in his "hyde form" he's also very eloquent and intelligent
God I really hate that people completely misunderstand Jekyll and Hyde. That's a very good portrayal of it. Hyde isn't his "opposite" or anything like that, it's his repressed side. The part of his humanity he considers monstrous. And that's why he loses control over the story; Jekyll began denying that side of himself, due to its monstrosity. And what does it mean to be a monster other than denying your humanity?
But no, hulking babbling rage monster, that works too, just as deep and interesting.
Jiaying was shitty Chinese Magneto, admit it. Cal was great, too bad David Lynch grabbed McLachlan for that Twin Peaks revival.
i should really watch dollhouse one of these days, it's just that the premise doesn't appeal to me at all.
also all these recent idiotic hercules movies could be blown out of the water with marvel herc. so much asgardian stuff, no love for olympians
that envious feel when in 30 years there will be kids just growing up that will have so many mcu movies already waiting for them while i have to waste all my years getting them one by one...
>it's just that the premise doesn't appeal to me at all.
What about it doesn't appeal to you? I think the first couple episodes sort of drag (the show was intended to be very different than it is, darker, grittier, dealing with some seriously fucked up stuff, but Fox wanted something sexier and with more action, but less sex) until they can get things together again, but they do some great world building until episode 6 kicks into gear.
>so much asgardian stuff, no love for olympians
So true. There's so much potential in it but Hollywood just seems to ignore it or treat it like garbage. Hopefully the upcoming Wonder Woman film will be heavily ingrained in the mythology.
If we don't have Wasp growing into a giantess in at least one movie, it'll all be a waste of billions of dollars.
just the whole "erasing an operatives memories" after missions is kind of stupid and played out to me. seems like that show My Own Worst Enemy, where christian slater plays edward, a deadly operative whose mind is erased when not on missions to become henry, mild mannered family man(note the "clever" references)
I can understand where you're coming from but Dollhouse ultimately has an interesting take on the idea which evolves past that, and becomes more about the nature of humanity and identity. It's a lot like Dark City in a way. I think it's definitely worth watching and it's in my top 10 favorite shows.
Guys love girls. The bigger they are, the more there is to love. Like domination? Look no further than a chick that can dominate a city, or even a planet. Prefer nicer, gentler types? A giant woman can handle you like a child, a pet, or an insect.
But this is all off topic. Never ask to understand a fetish, if you don't have it, it won't make sense.
Hmmm...by the time these movies come out in China, haven't they been pirated to hell and back? I mean...it's China. Is there any chance that 90% of the people who wanted to see it haven't seen it already?
Ant-Man 2 is gonna suck. Total bomb. Guaranteed. I've already seen it, so I know. Really, my father's brother's third cousin's wife's nephew's best friend's guinea pig's step mother's third cousin's ex-boyfriend's tapeworm works for Marvel.
it just doesn't seem necessary. it's not a "film series" character. instead of that sequel they could make a new movie with a different character. it was a nice little movie but nothing about it made me go "holy shit i want a sequel to this".
I dunno, you tell me
because infinity war is only half a movie. i hate that shit. it always feels so contrived. probably because it is.
