It probably had an effect but I'm sure what had a bigger effect was the fact it's not a good show that's generally left people disappointed and not caring as it keeps going.

KDF people like to bitch constantly about how the move to Friday nights was just so bad and terrible ignoring that it had ATLA's time slot where ATLA got great ratings and since it's prime time meant more advertising money which means Nick had a lot of faith in the show. KDF people tend to ignore that because they want to believe Nick is out to screw their beloved show over.

You can't blame "The Schedule" for ratings immediately being half of what they were for S1. You can't blame "The Schedule" for there being next to know interest in S3 and continually falling ratings even though it's been a month or so so people should obviously know that Korra's back now. Is Nick trying to kill off the show? Yeah probably, at this point, because its ratings have been in freefall since the start of S2 and the show costs so much money to produce that they probably figure it's best to just cut their losses than dump any more money into a failure. But the fact remains that even still, less and less people are watching it every week despite still having the same schedule which means declining interest in the show. So cry about the schedule all you want but at the end of the day if the creators were actually making something people wanted to watch people would be, surprisingly, watching it.

I can understand people have different tastes and can choose to dislike a character because of their actions or words. For example, I didn't like Sokka in the beginning but noticed he's actually competent sometimes, and when I rewatched ATLA recently I actually liked Sokka and understood his point of view of benders and Aang in episode 1. Regardless of whether you like or hate LoK, why are you celebrating another nail in the coffin of western cartoon action shows?

What possible joy could you get out of making way for more Butch Hartman and Pendleton Ward abominations? Even if LoK is poorly made as you say, its eventual cancellation is only making everything worse. Executives will look at it as an example that western audiences can't handle and don't want action cartoons regardless of how much of an audience exists for them.
